Role-playing action long-awaited by many fans Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which promises to be a continuation of the acclaimed FFVII Remake, was announced at the State of Play presentation in September and received an official release date of February 29, 2024. Along with it, the developer published a new trailer.
Rebirth will take us back to the events that ended Final Fantasy VII Remake and our heroes will go to a small town called Kalm. Unlike the previous part of the series, the upcoming FFVII will feature a full-fledged open world, in which you can find many side quests, mini-games, new dangerous enemies, as well as the opportunity to travel on various types of transport. In a recent announcement, Square Enix stated that a leisurely playthrough of FFVII will take approximately 100 hours.
Final Fantasy VII Remake was a significant commercial success, with sales of physical and digital copies reaching 3.5 million in its first three days, making it one of the PS4's biggest titles, as well as one of Sony's fastest-selling exclusives. The opening sales of FFVII Remake were able to surpass even those of Spider-Man with 3.3 million and 2018's God of War with 3.1 million. By August 2020, the amount of copies sold for PS4 alone exceeded 5 million.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be a timed exclusive for PlayStation 5, but in three months the project could be released for other platforms.
