The other day, miHoYo informed users that the latest, updated version of the game Genshin Impact will not be available to owners of some personal computers.
We are talking about those PCs in which missing SSE 4.1 instructions. This innovation will not affect modern processors, but you will no longer be able to play your favorite game on old computers. At least in the near future.
The developers hastened to sweeten the bitter pill with the information that they would try to optimize their project in the future, but did not promise anything concrete. And even if you manage to launch the game on old PCs, it will probably freeze.
It is not reported what exactly is the reason for the refusal to support outdated systems. However, many popular games require SSE 4.1, for example Far Cry 5 and No Man Sky.
