MiHoYo company responsible for the development Genshin Impact And Honkai: Star Rail, was among the first participants in testing a new artificial intelligence technology, NVIDIA ACE. The development itself is designed to bring digital avatars to life and can be used to create non-game characters, but ready for live communication: this was clearly shown at the pre-show at the CES trade show.
ACE technology is able to recognize the player's voice, which is converted into text and read by the NPC to generate a meaningful response. An innovative engine that runs both in cloud services and on local PCs will also be responsible for lip synchronization and animation dynamics.
Developers will be able to independently implement a neural network into their projects. Large game pipelines such as Ubisoft and Tencent have already signed up for NVIDIA ACE integration.
It is worth noting that miHoYo has been using neural networks to simplify the development of game content for quite some time, but the implementation of the ACE platform is a completely different matter. AI is unlikely to become part of existing Genshin Impact And Honkai: Star Rail, but nothing prevents miHoYo from introducing a product from NVIDIA into the pending release Zenless Zone Zero, and perhaps in creating your own virtual world by 2030.
