Bandai Namco employees decided to post several new high-resolution screenshots of the Shadow of the Edtree story add-on for Elden Ring. They showcase new areas and enemies that players will face.
The developers have officially announced that the expansion will take place in a completely new region, which in terms of size exceeds the scale of Zamogilya from the original game. At the same time, it will be multi-level, that is, it will include its own dungeons, mines and individual locations, like the Raya Lucaria Academy or the Stormy Veil Castle.
The studio notes that players will be able to fight more than ten new bosses. At the same time, they will be allowed to use 8 new types of weapons, that is, we are not talking about individual weapons, but about full-fledged categories, such as straight swords or daggers.
You can get to the new location using a cocoon located in the temple where players fought with Mog the Lord of Blood. Thus, you won’t be able to get to new lands right away - you’ll have to first go through the original up to a certain point. The events of the add-on do not take place in the future or past, but run parallel to the main plot.
At the center of the story of the expansion will be Mismir, who is not inferior to other deities of Interearth. However, its existence is kept in the strictest confidence. “What is this connected with?” - this is what gamers have to find out in Shadow of the Edtree. The demigod Mikella will also play a significant role in the plot, in whose footsteps the players will have to follow.
