User StepLeaks, who usually publishes leaks, said that the tech support email HoYoverse was hacked by intruders. According to him, an outside group gained access to the account several months ago.
For the most part, hackers use the address genshin_cs@hoyoverse.com, sending joke messages to leakers, and sharing screenshots proving that they have gained access to HoYoverse mail. At the moment, we are not aware of any fraudulent actions or actions of attackers causing direct harm to players.
Although from the provided screenshots it is clear that a mostly unknown group of people is using the account Genshin Impact, it is possible that they have access to technical support boxes and other HoYoverse games. And at the same time, they also had at their disposal the personal data of several million players. This creates a serious security threat for users asking for help.
At the same time, HoYoverse did not give any official comments regarding the current situation. Until the problem is resolved, it may be potentially dangerous for users to contact support for any of the company's games.
