Today the stream took place, dedicated to update 4.8 for Genshin Impact. As part of it, the developers revealed many interesting details about upcoming events, characters and innovations. Here we will briefly talk about them.
Let's start with banners. As previously noted by insiders, in the first phase players will get reruns of two legendary heroines: Navia (Geo, two-handed sword) and Nilou (Hydro, one-handed sword). In the second half of the patch (starting on August 7), the 5-star Emilia (Dendro, polearm) will be released and the rerun of Emilia (Hydro, Onion) will be carried out. For an unknown reason, the developers do not plan to add a new Prayer of the Chronicles.
As for weapons, only one new 5-star spear will be added - Elegy Lumidus, which is Emilia's signature weapon. Its secondary stat is crit chance, and its passive skill aims to increase attack power, dendro damage, and Obtaining Energy.
The developers also showed off two new skins: one for Kirara and the other for Nilou. The first one is called "Ghost in Boots" and can be obtained completely free of charge as part of the upcoming main event. The second – “Breath of Sabaa” – can only be purchased in the in-game store. It does not add any effects to the heroine, so its discounted price will most likely be 1350 creation crystals.
The studio does not plan to add new quests for the Archons, but there will be a quest for the legends of Emilia, thanks to which players will be able to get to know the creator of perfumes from Fontaine better.
The developers also plan to introduce many new world tasks, but almost all of them will be related to the new temporary region - Simulanka. We are talking about a magical location created by the witches of the Sabbat. Here you will also try out for the first time the system of transforming into various creatures to overcome various obstacles.
The main storyline of the new area is connected to the main event of the patch called “Summer! Dragons? Fairy tale!". As part of it, you will meet many friends, including Kirara, Navia, the Wanderer and Nilou. Plus, you will find various mini-games, searching for chests, exploring locations and other activities.
Players will also be able to participate in a new event called Echoes of Fantasy. The reward in it will be special running effects for certain characters: Ningguang, Diluca, Kirara, Jean and Qiqi. You can see the rest of the events in the video below.
New cards will be added for the collectible card game Genius Invokation TCG. We are talking about such characters as Operative Fatui, Chevreuse and Navia.
The studio also decided to change the system of daily assignments in the game - now points will be given even for spending resin. Elite bosses will now respawn immediately after teleportation to another location, that is, you will not have to wait 3-4 minutes until they are reborn. Plus, the dialogue system will be improved, as it will be possible to re-read the previous remarks of the heroes. The developers also promise to make farming materials in dungeons more comfortable.
At the end of the stream, HoYoverse unexpectedly demonstrated the second trailer for Natlan, in which it showed three new characters at once. Most likely, they will be released as part of patch 5.0.
