Note: Currently, the information below is based not only on developer statements, but also on leaks and files obtained by data miners and testers, so it is not 100% reliable and may change over time.
Genshin Impact 4.5 release date
Company HoYoverse, usually releases updates every six weeks, so the next patch should be released March 13, 2024. It will be replaced version 4.6 approximately April 24 of this year.
You can preload the client a few days before its release. The developers will probably carry out technical work, which can last up to 5 hours. Players are usually given compensation in the amount of 300-600 source stones.
Live broadcast on Genshin Impact 4.5
The development team almost always holds special streams 1.5-2 weeks before the release of a new update. They usually take place on Friday-Sunday. For this reason, the live broadcast of version 4.5 was carried out March 1, 2024 at 15:00 Moscow time. During it they placed three promotional code for 300 primogems.
New characters and banners
The miHoYo team has already officially introduced a new character for the game - it turns out to be 5-star Tiori. Data about future banners and abilities of the new heroine was also published.
First phase banners
It is already known for sure that in the first half of the patch in banners The following fighters will be represented:
- 5-star – Tiori (Geo, one-handed sword) and Arataki Itto (Geo, two-handed sword).
- 4-star – no information yet.
Chiori is a talented fashion designer from Inazuma who currently resides in Fontaine. She left her homeland after Sakoku issued a decree to close the borders. She sews unique custom clothing for many famous residents of the Hydro Kingdom, including Navia. As for her role in the squad, she will be a secondary damage dealer.
As for the weapons banner, you should expect the appearance of Chiori's signature weapons called Uraku Misugiri and Arataki Itto - Redhorn Stonethresher.
Second phase banners
In the second half of the update (starts on April 3), reruns of the following fighters will take place:
- 5-star – Nevillet (Hydro, catalyst) and Kaedehara Kazuha (Anemo, one-handed sword).
- 4-star – no information yet.
The incarnation of the deity will include the catalyst Tome of the Eternal Flow and the blade Freedom-Sworn, which are the signature weapons of the above characters.
Mondstadt: Blessing of the Chronicles
As insiders said earlier, it will include characters from a certain region and some signatures. In patch 4.5, thanks to him, you can get Albedo (Geo, one-handed sword), Eola (Cryo, two-handed sword), Mona (Hydro, catalyst), Jean (Anemo, one-handed sword) or Klee (Pyro, catalyst).
If we talk about weapons, then it will feature standard options, as well as the Onion Hunter’s Path, the catalyst Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds and the two-handed swords Lighthouse of the Reed Sea, Wolf’s Gravestone and Song of Broken Pines. The guarantor system will be similar to the Path of Incarnation in weapon prayer, but instead of two fate points, you will need to collect only one to obtain the desired weapon or hero. New locations
It is highly likely that the developers will not add a new area in the upcoming update. Previously, there were rumors that a new area with the Port of Thorns would appear in the north of Mondstadt, however, apparently, this idea will only be implemented in patches 5.X. As for the latest expansion for Fontaine, it will be released in version 4.6 (it was even shown where a new area will be added).
New weapons
The developers will add two new weapons: the 5-star one-handed sword Uraku Misugiri and the 4-star spear Dialogue of the Desert Sages. The first can be obtained through banners, and the second by completing the main event of the patch. The table below shows their characteristics.

New tasks
There will be no new Archon quests, as Fontaine's arc is complete, and Harlequin's arc will continue in patch 4.6, where she will become a playable character.
Legend Quests
Thiori will receive a personal quest, in which players will be able to participate in the fashion week taking place in Fontaine. They will also learn more information about the past of the famous fashion designer.
Plus, there will be a new meeting - this time with Lynette. In this quest, Travelers will be able to learn about what exactly the Fatui are currently doing in the Hydro Kingdom.
World Quests
Naturally, the developers will add new side quests. Their events will most likely unfold in Fontaine.

The developers are preparing the next update for the card game, which will add several new cards: Nevillet, Kirara and Charlotte.
New events
Alchemical Breakthrough
The main event of patch 4.5, which will take place in Mondstadt. At Lisa's request, players will take control of a potion shop. They have to grow Recipe Item, create elixirs, and then sell them. As a reward, you will be able to receive a unique spear, as well as source stones, pestilence, and materials for upgrading.
Meowdyssey of the Castle of Seals
A completely new event in which you will need to take care of cats in the Cat's Tail Tavern located in the city of Mondstadt. You will need to properly arrange the furniture in the room, feed the cats and pet them. As a reward, you will receive a new pet for the Teapot of Serenity.
The big debate about Faiz's reaction
Continuation of the event Faiz test, where you again have to help the researcher with checking his potions. To do this, you will have to engage in battle with various enemies, using various power-ups for your characters.
Whirlpool Vortex
Fontaine's inventors have created a new gun for the gendarmes and now they need a Wishmaker to test it. You will need to shoot various slimes from a gun in a special arena.
