Character Side Quests in Elden Ring

In Elden Ring Side quests are different from side quests in other role-playing games, as they are not marked in any mission log and are directly associated with specific characters. Therefore, to start them, you often just need to find the desired NPC in the game world.

Of course, you need to know where to look for these characters, otherwise you can easily miss most of the side quests. It is for this reason that we decided to prepare an article that lists all the side quests present in the game, as well as information on how to start them, and provides links to detailed walkthroughs.

Completing these missions can often yield valuable equipment or unique items. It should also be remembered that some mission chains directly affect ending. We've marked them to make your search easier. We also advise you to keep before your eyes interactive map of Interearth.

Irina and Edgar's quest

Where to find Irina

It is located near the place of grace, the Sacrificial Bridge (Weeping Peninsula). She will tell you that she escaped from Morne Castle after the uprising. You also learn that the girl has vision problems. A detailed walkthrough of this task can be found in separate guide.

Rodericks Quest

Where to find Roderick

To start the corresponding task, you must first find this young lady in Zamogilye. You'll find her just off the main path leading to Stormveil Castle, in a place called the Stormhill Shack. There is also a place of grace here, so if you don't have a map open, just follow the signs on it from other "bonfires" and look for any yellow embers that are on the right side of the road. The exact location is shown in the images below.

Talk to the girl after reading all the dialogues. You will most likely need to chat with her at least 3-4 times. You will eventually be tasked with finding a special item for her called Chrysalid's Memory. A detailed walkthrough of this task can be found in separate guide.

Rennie's Quest (ending)

Where to find the sorceress Renny

You can meet Renny almost at the very beginning of the game, after talking with Melina and unlocking ghostly horse Stream in a place of grace Near the gate. Go to the Temple of Elle again, and at night you will see a witch here (she will introduce herself to you under a different name - Renna), who will give you the Bell of Summoning Spirits. White-faced Varre's quest

Where to find the white-faced Varre

White-faced Varre will almost certainly be one of the first NPCs you speak to in the game, right after activating the place of grace called "The First Step". During the conversation, he will advise you to deal with Godric the Hundred-Handed. To advance his quest forward, you will need to visit Stormveil Castle and unlock access to fortresses of the Round Table. A detailed walkthrough of this task can be found in separate guide.

Diallos' Quest

Where to find Diallos

To do this, you will need to go to the Round Table Fortress, fight Mar-gite the Dread Omen, or rest at the place of grace outside the Beyond. We told you more about getting to this location in separate manual.

There, find a knight in shining armor, but without a helmet. Talk to him. You learn that his name is Diallos. He will ask you if we have seen his missing maid, whose name is Lania. In his opinion, she could get into trouble. Although he does not give any explanation, the concern in his voice sounds sincere. The quest starts immediately after you exhaust all of its dialogues. Brother Korin's quest (ending)

Where to find Brother Corin and the Golden Mask

You will need to talk with this character in the Round Table fortress. You will get there in the first half of the game. He will offer you various prayers. Heitta's quest (ending)

Where to find Heitta

This pretty girl will appear in the game world only after you complete the storyline of Irina and Edgar, who are located on the Weeping Peninsula. Having done this, head to the place of grace of the Rock from the side of the lake, located north of the Storm Veil Castle. There you will find a young lady with a blindfold.

Chat with Heitta. She will note that her vision returns when she eats Shabriri grapes, so she will ask you to bring her some. A detailed walkthrough of this task can be found in separate guide.

Fii's Quest (ending)

Where to find Fiya

You can find this pretty lady in one of the rooms of the Round Table fortress. Talk to her and she will offer you a hug. Accept her offer. You will receive a 5% health debuff, which can be removed by using Blessing of the Canopy (also given by Fiya).

Scum Eater's Quest (ending)

Where to find the Scum Eater

For the first time you will be able to meet this character in the Round Table fortress. He will appear there immediately after you visit the capital of the kingdom of Laindell. Quest of the warrior-jug Alexander

Where to find the pitcher warrior Alexander

You can meet him for the first time in Zamogilye, south of the place of grace "Bridge of Saints". The exact location is shown in the screenshots below. The pitcher warrior got stuck in a small pothole. He will ask you to help him - to do this, hit him from behind (it may take several hits). Quest Child of the Jug

Where to find the Jug's Child

First of all, you will need to find Kuvshingrad, which is located north of the place of grace "Northern Route of Liurnia". The exact location is shown in the screenshot below.

So, having moved to the tract, move north until you reach the edge of the cliff. There, jump down onto the stone platform. Then start going down, jumping from one rock ledge to another. Eventually you will reach a small settlement.

Once in the village, look for the Child of the Jug - he will be sitting in front of a large structure. Chat with him. He will ask if you want to become a great potter (this title is given to the defender of Kuvshingrad). You can agree or refuse him. If you choose the first option, then you will need to show your interlocutor your hand using one of the gestures. Otherwise, he will immediately say that you are not fit to be a potter. Raya's Quest

Where to find Raya

You can find her in Ozernaya Liurnia, northwest of the place of grace "The Ruins of Lasquiar". The screenshots below show the exact location. She will stand in the gazebo. Chat with her. You learn that an unknown bandit took the necklace from her. The girl will ask you to return the jewelry to her. Agree to help her. Kenneth Haight's Quest

Where to find Kenneth Haight

Go to the place of grace "Outskirts of the Misty Forest", located in the eastern part of Zamogil. Then head slightly northeast, climbing to the top of a dilapidated structure. There you will find Kenneth. Chat with him. He will tell you that he is going to become the rightful ruler of these lands. A detailed walkthrough of this task can be found in separate guide.

Nefeli Lux Quest

Where to find Nefeli Lux

You can find it in the castle of the Storm Veil (Zamoglie) at the point shown in the screenshots below. Get to the place of grace "Chambers at the Lift", and then exit through the right door and run forward, climbing the stone stairs and passing through the rows of palisades. Then turn right and enter the building. Inside you will find a savage.

Note: If you have already fought the boss Godric the Hundred-Handed, then you will not find Lux ​​in this place.

Chat with the girl. She will tell you that if you plan to fight Godric, she will be happy to help you. If you decide to kill Nefeli at this moment, she will drop two Storm Hawk Axes at once. A detailed walkthrough of this task can be found in separate guide.

Seluvis's Quest

Where to find the sorcerer Seluvis

The first time you learn about the existence of this character is when talking with Rennie as part of her quest line. She will advise you to chat with the sorcerer to learn magic. After talking with the witch in her tower, located in the Three Sisters location, go down and talk with the projection of Seluvis. He will invite you to visit him.

Now you can go to Seluvis's tower, which is located southeast of Rennie's tower. Once inside, talk to the sorcerer, who will be distinguished by a large round hat. He will say that he is ready to teach you witchcraft and even sell you a few special charms, but first you must fulfill his request - give the potion to a girl named Nefeli Lux. Sellena's Quest

Where to find the sorceress Sellen

To do this, get to Ruins of a settlement, located in the eastern part of Zamogilye. Walk past fresh flowers into a dilapidated building. There you will find the entrance to the basement. After going down, deal with the mini-boss Pumpkinhead Madman. Having dealt with him, activate the place of grace “Destroyed Basement of the Settlement”.

Next, go through the door in the basement to find the sorceress Sellen. Chat with her and then say: "I want to learn magic" . As a result, you will be able to buy various enchantments from her. Millicent's Quest

Where to find Valkyrie Millicent

First of all, you will need to chat with a certain character who can be found in Gowri's Shack, located in the center of the Starry Wastes to the northeast of the place of grace "South Shoal of the Eonia Swamp". The exact location is shown in the images below.

Gurrank's Quest

Where to find Beast Priest Gurrank

This is quite easy to do if you follow the questline of Dee, Hunter of the Dead. However, you don’t have to complete his quest - just go to the Beast Refuge, located in the northeastern part of the Starry Wastes.

There you will find a small temple in which the character you need sits. If you don't have the Roots of Death with you, he most likely won't talk to you. Otherwise, he will ask you to give him the plant in exchange for a reward, and will say that you can bring more rhizomes for an additional reward. Boka's Quest

Where to find tailor Bok

Reach or travel to the place of grace "North Shore of the Lake", located in the center of Zamogilye. Then run southeast to the location shown in the screenshots below. Suddenly you will hear someone's voice coming from the bush. Walk up to him and hit him once (or just roll towards him). The bush will disappear, and a character will appear in its place.

Chat with this half-human. You learn that his name is Bok. He was driven out of the cave and then turned into a bush. You will receive 10 mushrooms from him as a reward. Yura's Quest

Where to find Yura

It is located next to the place of grace "The First Step", located in the Beyond, that is, not far from the location where you begin to explore Between-Earth. Look for him south of the Burnt Ruins. The screenshots below show the samurai's exact location. He will stand near the fire.

Gostock's Quest

Where to find the gatekeeper of Gostock

It can be found in the room located on the left side of the place of grace “Main Gate of the Storm Curtain”, located in the northeast of Zamogil. Chat with this old man. Topsa's Quest

Where to find the sorcerer Tops

You can find it in the Temple of Irit, located in the southern part of Lake Liurnia, not far from the place of grace “Rocks on the Lake Side”, where you will be able to go after clearing the Storm Veil castle. Quest Dee

Where to find Dead Hunter Dee

For the first time you can find it in the northern part of Zamogilya, east of the place of grace “Bridge of Saints”. He will stand near the corpse. Chat with him. He will inform you that he is hunting the living dead and will advise you not to go to the village located ahead, as it is full of undead. Roger's Quest

Where to find the sorcerer Roger

For the first time you will be able to meet this character in the castle of Stormy Veil. You will find it in the chapel located north of the place of grace “Bastion Tower”. After moving to this fire, go through the door in the north. Now go forward along the wall with the barrels and turn slightly to the right to climb onto the roof ahead.

Turn right again and enter the cathedral. Jump down the round hole ahead to go down to the first floor. Take the right passage and go into the chapel. This is where you will find Roger - he will be standing near the altar (he will not be here if you have already dealt with Godric the Hundred-Handed). Patchwork's Quest

Where to find Patchwork

It can be found in the Dirty Cave, located in the center of Zamogilye. Go down into the dungeon and go through the golden mist. You will be taken to a new room with a camp and a chest. Examine the chest and you will immediately be attacked by Patchwork, armed with a tower shield and a spear. Latenna's Quest

Where to find Latenna

Open the world map and find the Albinor Village on it, located in the southwestern part of Liurnia. You've probably been here before when you were looking for Tears of larvae. Move to the indicated location of grace (shown in the screenshots below), and then go up the sloping path until you notice a large jug.

Tap the jug once to make Albus fall out. Talk to him and you will receive the second piece of the Secret Holy Tree Locket. He will also tell you about a woman who can tell you more information about this thing. Her name is Latenna, and she is in the Wolf Shack. Blyde's Quest

Where to find half-wolf Blyde

First, head to the ruins in the Misty Forest, located in the eastern part of Zamogil. The exact location is shown in the images below. There you will hear a howl. Raise the camera up and you will immediately see a werewolf sitting on the ruins. A detailed walkthrough of this task can be found in separate guide.

Quest Tanit

Where to find Lady Tanith

She can be found in Vulcan Manor. There are several ways to get to this location. One of them allows you to do this even without activating the Great Dectus Lift. All these methods are described in detail in our separate manual. The passage of the quest itself is reviewed in another article.

Bernal's Quest

Where to find Knight Bernal

It can be found near the place of grace “Warrior's Shack”, located on Thunder Hill in the northern part of Zamogil. The character you need is standing inside the hut. True, you will find it here only during the daytime. If you come to him at night, you will encounter a Bell Orb Hunter.

Talk to the knight. You can give any answer to his question, since he will still trade with you. You can purchase various Ashes of War (skills) from him, which you can equip your weapons with. Enshi Quest

Where to find Enshi

You can meet him for the first time in fortresses of the Round Table – he stands on the right side of the passage leading to Gideon Ofnir. If you try to talk to him, he will not answer you. Black Guardian Quest

Where to find the Black Guardian

You will first encounter him while exploring Lake Liurnia. It is located near the Shrimp Shack shack. Before going to him, we advise you to take on the quest of Raya, from whom the necklace was taken, since it was he who stole this jewelry.
