In Genshin Impact Under the Umbrella’s Shade is a small dungeon to explore Sumeru, that is, you can receive a reward for passing it only once. To open access to it, you will need to solve the puzzle with the totems. In the dungeon itself, you have to fight the molders. In this guide, you will learn where to find, how to open and complete this dungeon.
How to find and open the dungeon "Under the Umbrella’s Shade"
The entrance marker can be found in the northern part of the Motiyima Forest. Just move to the nearest teleporter in this location, and then move along the path that can be seen on the map. Ultimately, it will lead you straight to the blocked passage.
Solving the puzzle with Dendro totems
Here you will find five Dendro totems that you need to activate in a certain sequence. To enable them, you need a Dendro character (suitable and Traveler ). One of the monuments is hidden behind a stone with a green sphere - to destroy it, you need to take a Dendrogranum from a nearby branch, and then attack the green ball with a charged shot or blow.
The correct order to activate the totems is shown in the screenshot below. If you don't have Dendro heroes, then you can just take a Dendrogranum and attack the pillars with charged hits. If you do everything right, the Domain Entrance will open.
How to complete the dungeon "Under the Umbrella’s Shade"
- Recommended character elements: Dendro and Electro
- Recommended squad level: 89th (depends on world level)
This dungeon is a standard arena where you need to deal with several opponents (molds and pests) in a certain period of time. In this case, a buff will act here, which can greatly simplify the battle:
- After a spontaneous reaction Stimulation (Denlro + Electro) on an enemy, their resistance to all damage, including physical damage, is reduced by 50 percent for 8 seconds.
Given this bonus, we strongly recommend that you take Dendro and Electro characters to the squad. Many of the enemies are also quite fast moving and can hover above the ground, so a powerful archer is a good idea. Also suitable are heroes capable of pulling mobs into one heap (Sucrose, Venti, Kaedehara Kazuha), or hit with strong attacks over the area. The table below shows a few optimal units.
Basic DPS | Minor DPS | Minor DPS/Support | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Tighnari | Yae Miko | Collei | Zhongli |
Tighnari | Fischl | Collei | Diona |
Tighnari | Yae Miko | Yelan | Zhongli |
Dungeon Tips
At the first stage, you have to deal with two Hydro molders. Difficulties should not arise here. In the second stage, you will have to deal with 18 molders, with each enemy to be killed in less than 20 seconds. For this reason, we do not advise you to be distracted by all the opponents at once - it is better to kill them one by one.
However, if you have good Anemo characters, you can try to collect the mobs at one point, and then hit them with elemental explosions. Of course, before the battle, you can use various dishes and potions to increase performance. Don't forget to create Stimulation as well.
In the last phase, you have to fight with three Moroviks (Dendro, Crio and Hydro). Each of them you need to try to kill in less than 40 seconds. Having dealt with the last enemies, you can inspect the chest. Plus, you'll get 40 Source Stones, 500 Adventure Points, 30,000 Pestilence, 5 Dendro Symbols, 1 Integrity Teaching, 2 Adventurer XP, 2 Hero XP, and 4 Enchantment Magic Ores.
