Hedge maze in Hogwarts Legacy are hidden puzzles that are not displayed on the map. They are difficult to find, but as a reward for passing you can open chest with legendary equipment, so it will be useful to find out the maximum information on this gaming activity. In this guide, we will collect all the available information on the mazes and tell you how to find and complete them, and what, in fact, is the main problem with these riddles in the game.
How to find the entrance to the labyrinth
There are five labyrinths in total, and the entrance to each of them is located at a strictly fixed point. The puzzle itself is randomly generated, so the route through the maze will be unique for each player and each puzzle.
The main problem lies precisely in finding the entrance, because it appears at a random time of the day and at the moment the algorithm of this event is unknown. Thus, you will have to go around the indicated points and check for the presence of a gate to enter. If they are active, a marker for this challenge will appear on the map.

Location: South Hogsfield
Near the lair of purple toads on the southeast road from this settlement one of the hedge puzzles is located.
Maze 2
Location: Lower Hogsfield
The next puzzle awaits you in the hills south of the castle and southwest of Lower Hogsfield.
Maze 3
Location: Southern swamp
In the northern part of the swamp near Merlin's test sooner or later there will be another hedge test.
Maze 4
Location: Poidseer Coast
Due south of Phoenix Cave you will find another fence. If you're lucky, of course.
Maze 5
Location: Cragfort
On the bluff south of Cragfort the last puzzle is hidden.
How to complete and collect the reward in the hedge maze
In any of these labyrinths, obstacles are randomly generated, you just need to wander a little through the corridors of bush leaves and get to the chest. We advise you to immediately use the spell at the entrance "Revelio" - the target will be highlighted through the walls, and you can figure out in which direction you need to move.
Each test ends with legendary piece of equipment from the chest, but in the four labyrinths is also present page with the history of their creator. Since the walls disappear after finding the chest, you can immediately go to it, and get to the page after, without any obstacles.
Hedge maze disappearing
Finally, we mention one significant feature associated with these puzzles. After the appearance the entrance to the labyrinth may disappear and not appear again. This can be both a bug and a feature of the system of their appearance, about which there is currently no reliable information. In any case, below we have collected tips to prevent this unpleasant situation:
- Go through the maze immediately after finding it;
- If the entrance no longer appears, try loading a save where it hasn't been opened yet;
- Try to find another entrance, then return to the missing one;
- Complete the story before the season changes and try again to wait for the entrance to appear.
Note: these puzzles do not count towards any achievement/challenge and do not affect 100% completion of the game. So try not to be upset about the missing entrance to the labyrinth, even if none of the tips helped him to manifest again.
