In Honkai: Star Rail Aetherium Wars is the main event of patch 1.4, which is a kind of collectible card game in which the Pathfinder must collect ethereal spirits, improve them and put them into duels. It will be necessary to pass Victory Zone tests, earning star jades, loans and valuable materials. The reward will also be one 4-star character of your choice.
How to start the Aetherium Wars event
The event starts on October 11 and ends on November 13, 2023 at 03:59 am server time. Then it will be moved to the “Immortal Memoirs” section, where it will be available to players at any time. Before you can participate, you will need to meet a couple of conditions:
- Get at least 34th Mastery level.
- Complete the Mastery mission called "Market of the Future II".
Having dealt with the specified requirements, you should automatically receive the starting quest for the event. If this does not happen, then look at your Travel Log, find the desired event there and click on the “Take Part” button.

Ether Wars is a tournament in which participants fight each other using Ethereal Spirits, which are various creatures encased in Ethereal Coins using special copying technology.
These spirits receive various skills that can be used during battles. Proper use of the skills of the summoned creature is the key to victory in any match. The battles themselves are held in the so-called victory zones.
Ethereal Spirit Level and Expansion Chip
By participating in battles, players will be able to obtain various data necessary to increase the level of their creatures, which leads to an increase in their parameters (attack power, speed and health) and the appearance of additional slots for chips.
By expansion chips we mean special equipment for summoned creatures, with which you can give them special abilities, for example, removing all weakening from the owner at the end of the turn or applying weathering to enemies.
At the same time, beginners are advised to use a chip called “General Upgrade”, which increases the maximum health and attack power of the ethereal spirit by 20%.
Let us add that all ethereal spirits can be divided into 3 types: mechanical, aberrant and humanoid, and each of them has increased vulnerability to one type and increased resistance to another. For this reason, you should not concentrate your attention on leveling up only one type of creature - try to level up different creatures to increase the overall effectiveness of the squad.
Victory Zones and Arena
All tests will take place in four victory zones, each of which has a secret property. In them you will need to defeat contenders for the championship and obtain special mastery badges. Having collected four seals, you will be able to take part in the final battle.
We are talking about the Arena, where the most dangerous and powerful opponents await you, so you will have to prepare well for the last battle.
Online matches
Let’s add that you can fight in “Aether Wars” outside the victory zones. You will be able to challenge other participants to a duel, thereby earning various chips and increasing the level of your creatures.
Ethereal Wars event rewards
By completing all the tests of the event during the above period, you can receive 1200 star jades, an imprint of fate, self-modeling resin, as well as credits and various materials for leveling up characters, light cones and relics.
How to get a free character
Let's add that for completing all victory zones and winning the championship you can get one four-star character from the following list:
- Serval (Erudition: Electric)
- Sang (Nothingness: Ice)
- Luka (Nothingness: Physical)
- Hook (Destruction: Fire)
After completing the event and its transition to the “Immortal Memoirs”, you will only be able to get 1040 star jades and a slightly smaller amount of materials.
