In Alan Wake 2 Lunch boxes are small red boxes that contain manuscript fragments required to upgrade weapons. On a par with cult caches they are necessary to unlock the “In the Shadow of the Trees” and “Secret Cache” trophies. In this guide we will tell you where you can find them.
Where to find all the lunch boxes in Alan Wake 2
In total, you can find 21 children's lunch boxes in the game, and this can only be done when playing as Saga Anderson. Each of them contains a varied number of fragments of the manuscript, which can be used in the “Abode of the Mind” to upgrade your arsenal, for example, increasing the damage dealt or the rate of fire of guns.
Upgrading weapons makes fighting enemies much easier, so we encourage you to look for these lunch boxes even if you don't plan on unlocking all the achievements in Alan Wake 2. Let's add that these items are also evidence, so you can post photos of them on the Clue Board for more plot details.
Lunch box 1

After talking with the sheriff's deputy at the very beginning of the first act, climb through the hole in the fence and start going down the path. Once you go down, don't follow your companion to the left, but instead turn right and get to the viewing area located near the waterfall. Turn left from the information board and you will find a box in the bushes.

You can find it northeast of the store, near the part of the road that was blocked by a landslide.

Return to the murder scene and then start following the path in a southwest direction, passing next to the trailer. Find the next observation area where the camp is located. You will find a lunch box in the bushes near the fence.

Return to the murder scene again, but now follow the path in a northwest direction towards the Witch's Hut. Then cross the bridge to the left of the cabin and you'll soon notice a folding chair next to a fire. Make a sharp turn to the right of it, and you will find a lunch box in the bushes.

Having fully examined the place where the crime was committed, you will decide to go to the city to conduct an autopsy. At this point, you will receive the gate key from the deputy sheriff. Open it and start walking up the slope towards the parking area. About halfway along the path you will find a building that is the FBK observation station.
Approach this building, go around the back, and then climb onto the ledge to find another children's lunch box.
Lunch box 6

After returning to Bright Falls, follow the street north to the Dear Deer Diner, where you need to go to progress through the story. By the way, you can find a location map on her wall. From this establishment, turn right (east) into the local park.

Reach the river and then follow it northeast until you find a box to the left of a small waterfall on a ledge.

When you head to Coffee World, be sure to go to the Radio Tower located in the north. Behind it, next to the stone ledge, you will find another box.
Lunch box 10

After locating the previous lunch box, return to the main road leading west. Cross the bridge and reach the small camp shown on the map below, located near the entrance to Coffee World. The box you need lies right next to the white tent.

Exit Coffee World through the southern passage, then immediately turn around. Enter the yellow column shaped like a coffee maker on the right side, and look for a box on the ground.

Head southwest to the Lighthouse Trailer Park and then enter the park using the key. Immediately turn right into the playground. Behind the swing, next to the tree, you will find the item you need.

Head to the Knights of Kalevala workshop, located in the western part of the area, and then go behind the building. You will find a lunch box between the boat and the barn - it is lying on the ground.

Located near the recreation area northwest of Wateree Lighthouse. Look for a box on a ledge near the ladder that leads down.
Lunch box 15

It can be found on a small hill located south of the path leading to the Mansion in the west.
Lunch box 16

Enter the Valhalla Nursing Home grounds and then go to the Mansion. Inside, go to the first room on the right side and you will find a box on the dresser.

Having dealt with the boss of the location, you will gain access to new areas in the south. Exit through the south gate of the nursing home and look for a box between two paths. She will lie in the bushes among the trees.

Get to the Ranger Station and then head northeast along the upper path. When you reach the fork, turn right and you will see a lunch box near the grass.

Return to Lake Cauldron and use the bolt cutter to enter the area of the Rental Cottages located in the east of the area. Then enter the house number “3” and go through it to the 2nd house. Inside it, on the chest of drawers, will be the item you need.
