    In Alan Wake 2 You'll have to enter codes frequently to open locks, safes, supply containers, doors, display cases, and drawers. To determine the correct combination of numbers or symbols, you need to either thoroughly explore the area or solve a small riddle.

    In this guide, we will show all the passwords available in the game and indicate what exactly they unlock. However, we will not dwell in detail on solving puzzles or finding codes, but will simply present the correct option - this will make it easier for you to find the right combinations in the article.

    All codes and passwords for locks in Alan Wake 2

    Cult cache at the murder site

    • Plot: "Return 1: The Invitation" (Saga)
    • Area: Cauldron Lake

    A little south of the murder scene you can find someone's trailer, opposite the entrance to which there is a container (on the street). Click on it to see a hint for opening it. However, you can skip all the additional steps and just enter the signs shown in the screenshot below. Let us note that we described in detail about all the caches of the cult in separate manual.

    Cut-off shotgun in a store window

    • Plot: “Return 2: Heart” (Saga)
    • Area: Cauldron Lake
    • Correct code: 739

    Go to the store located in the center of the indicated location. Inside you can find a glass weapon box in which a sawn-off shotgun hangs. To open it, enter the combination noted above. We talked about this in more detail in separate guide.

    Cult cache near the Witch's Ladle

    • Plot: “Return 2: Heart” (Saga)
    • Area: Cauldron Lake

    To open it, you must first find the key, the location of which is shown in the pictures below. Having taken it, return to the cache (last two screenshots below).

    • Plot: “Return 2: Heart” (Saga)

    • Correct code: 658

    From the Riverbank, follow the path down in a southeast direction and then turn right just before reaching the water to find a container. You can look for trees next to the yellow numbers or simply enter the code into the lock.

    Computer at Witchfinder Station

    • Plot: “Return 2: Heart” (Saga)
    • Area: Cauldron Lake
    • Correct code: 2547

    In a two-story house at the station you can find computer, to open access to which you must enter the administrator password. By entering the specified combination, you will be able to read a couple of emails.

    Door in the talk show studio

    • Plot: "Initiation 1: Deep of Night" (Alan)
    • Area: Talk show studio
    • Correct code: 665 and 565

    When you try to leave the studio for the first time, you will find the right combination in the dressing room of the Old Gods music group: 665. Enter it into the push-button lock on the double door. The second time the combination will change, but it can also be found in the dressing room - it looks like this: 565.

    Cult cache south of the Radio Tower

    • Plot: "Return 3: Local" (Saga) Area: Wateree Correct code: 527

    Find a hunting hut south of the Radio Tower that serves as a rest room. Opposite it, under a canopy, there is a container, to open which you need to enter the above combination. In the end you will get crossbow.

    Cult cache in the "World of Coffee"

    • Plot: "Return 3: Local" (Saga)
    • Area: Wateree
    • Correct code: 147

    Get to the World of Coffee amusement park and look for a container in its northern part near the Skewer attraction. To open it, you will need to enter the above combination.

    Safe in the Mira Coffee souvenir shop

    • Plot: "Return 3: Local" (Saga)
    • Area: Wateree
    • Correct code: 146

    At the amusement park, enter the souvenir shop using screwdriver, and then look for the safe under the table. To open it, first view the dossier in the Sanctuary of Mind and examine the clues on the Clue Board. The encrypted code looks like this: detective, observer and cleaner.

    We are talking about employees from the lost property, security and cleaning bureaus. You just need to find their numbers on the workers board. As a result, you will understand that the correct password is 146. We talked more about this puzzle in a separate article.

    Door lock in the “Knights of Kalevala” workshop

    • Plot: "Return 3: Local" (Saga)
    • Area: Wateree

    When you need to go to the workshop, you will find that the door inside is padlocked. To open it, you need to enter a code of symbols. You can find the correct combination on the shelves (they will be drawn on various objects). If you are too lazy to look for them, then just enter the password shown in the 4th screenshot below.

    Cult cache near Wateree Lighthouse

    • Plot: "Return 3: Local" (Saga)
    • Area: Wateree

    Can be found on a hill located northwest of the lighthouse. The container will be locked with a lock, to open which you will need to select the correct symbols on it. The second symbol is painted on the box itself, and the third is assembled from sticks on a stone. You will need to select the first sign yourself, simply by rotating the mechanism. You can try choosing our option shown in the picture below.

    Cult cache on the city pier

    • Plot: "Return 3: Local" (Saga)
    • Area: Wateree
    • Correct code: 496

    It can be found in the southeastern docks, located just south of Suomi Hall. To open the lock, enter the above combination.

    Door to the Oceanview Hotel

    • Plot: "Initiation 5: Number 665" (Alan)
    • Area: Dark Abode (rooftops)
    • Correct code: 2550

    When you are able to cross the rooftops in the Dark Abode to the entrance to the Oceanview Hotel, you will find a combination lock on it. The password is The Price of the cocktail, which can be found in a bar nearby. If you are too lazy to go there, then just enter the combination indicated above.

    Cult cache near the forest near the bunker

    • Plot: "Return 5: Old Gods" (Saga)
    • Area: Bright Falls
    • Correct code: 177

    The container sits on the back of a pickup truck located south of the rest area. To open it, enter the above combination.

    Computer in the Wellness Center

    • Plot: "Return 5: Old Gods" (Saga)
    • Area: Bright Falls
    • Correct code: 170823

    Once in the Wellness Center, located in the western part of the location, get to the security room where there are computers. Interact with the turned on device and enter the password specified above (you can calculate it using the board with the schedule hanging in front of the PC).

    By entering the correct code, you will be able to unlock the doors, which is necessary to receive hunting rifle for Saga.

    Toolbox in the Mansion Basement

    • Plot: "Return 5: Old Gods" (Saga)
    • Area: Bright Falls
    • Correct code: 273

    When you get to the Mansion, located on the territory of the Valhalla nursing home, you will need to start the generator by finding a fuse for it. This part lies in the red tool box, the password for which can be seen above (in the game you can find it in a note that hangs in the laundry room).

    Cult cache near Ranger Station

    • Plot: "Return 5: Old Gods" (Saga) Area: Bright Falls

    It's west of the Ranger Station and just north of the main road, just before it splits into two different paths. Symbols for the code can be found on nearby boulders - you need to shine a flashlight on them. If you are too lazy to search for them, then just enter the correct characters shown in the image below.

    • Correct code: 697

    Go to the pier located south of the Sheriff's Office and unlock the gate using the bolt cutter. Enter the barn and find a container there, to open which you need to enter the above combination.

    Cult cache in the Bright Falls yard

    • Plot: "Return 5: Old Gods" (Saga)
    • Area: Bright Falls

    Located behind the fence between the Dear Deer Diner and the Sheriff's Office. You can get through the fence using a bolt cutter. To open the lock, you need to find symbols painted on various objects: on the antenna, in the gazebo and on the benches. If you are too lazy to look for them, then just enter the signs shown in the image below.

    • Plot: "Return 5: Old Gods" (Saga)
    • Area: Bright Falls
    • Correct code: 542

    Return to Wateree and use your newly acquired tool to open the gate near the Knights of Kalevala workshop. Behind them you will find this container. It opens with the above code.

    Pump-action shotgun display at the Sheriff's Office

    • Plot: "Return 6: Scratch" (Saga)
    • Area: Bright Falls
    • Correct code: 723

    Enter the police station and then go to Sheriff Tim Breaker's office, located in the northwest corner of the building. Before this, you will have to deal with a special possessed person and pick up the keys from the FBK agent in the closet. In the office on the wall you will find a display case in which is hidden weapon, – open it with the password specified above.

    • Correct code: 146

    Still in the same police station, go down to the basement, and then go to the Evidence Storage. Here you will find another locked container, to open which you need to enter the password specified above.
