    How to buy a stun gun

    This can only be done in store. To do this, go to terminal on the transporter, interact with it, and then enter the command store to see available items for sale. At the top of the list is the weapon you need - its cost is 400 units of currency.

    To purchase one stun gun, simply enter the phrase zap gun 1 and confirm your purchase by entering confirm. These commands must be entered while in satellite orbit or on its surface. Then, within an hour, a capsule with the purchased product will arrive to you - just take it from it.

    Note: It is not at all necessary to go to the store every time and write the full name of the product - you can use shortened commands, for example, write zap 2 (you will buy two pistols).

    How to use Zap gun

    Once you receive the weapon, move it to your active inventory slot so that you can pick it up at any time when you see an enemy. Then aim the gun at the enemy and click on the left mouse button to scan him (a green field will appear). After about a second, a green beam of energy will burst out of the cannon, which will begin to stun the monster, preventing it from moving. All this time it is necessary to keep the LMB clamped.

    In this case, the beam will constantly wiggle from side to side, so you will need to maintain its integrity by turning the stun gun in the opposite direction (that is, you need to constantly move the mouse left and right). If the chain disappears, the monster will be able to move again.

    The gun can operate continuously for about 10 seconds, after which it needs a little time to cool down (smoke will start coming out of the barrel, and its disappearance will signal that the gun can be used again). The beam can also break if you move too far away from the enemy (more than 5-6 meters).

    Let's add that you can't use the Zap gun indefinitely - it has a charge that drains over time. You can keep track of it by the yellow strip with a battery icon located just above the stamina scale. After this, you will need to charge the stun gun on the ship.

    Note: Be careful when playing with friends, as the beam may hit them if they accidentally run under it.

    What is a Zap gun for?

    The stun gun itself does not cause any damage, meaning it can only stun some enemies for a short period of time. It can be most useful in teams of several people. For example, one player can be given a Zap gun while everyone else uses regular shovels (road signs).

    As soon as they get in their way monster, a player with a pistol shoots a beam at it, stunning the monster for several seconds. Others should immediately attack the shackled enemy with shovels. For most enemies (who can be killed), 4-5 hits are enough to glue the fins together. The table below lists some of the monsters that this gun may or may not stun.     Note that this weapon will be especially useful on companions with forest guardians, since you can use it to stun these enemies for a short time, forcing them to throw out previously captured members of your crew, giving them time to escape.

    This weapon can also be used in single player play. It will allow you to escape from some enemies as you walk towards the exit of the complex with the collected crowbar. Often it turns out to be even more useful than a shovel. But the high cost will not allow you to use it at the beginning of the game - we recommend purchasing a stun gun when you take on medium difficulty moons, for example Offense or March.
