In Honkai: Star Rail Illusion of the End is a game mode added to the game with the release of patch 2.3. It features a series of challenging challenges with regular updates. For completing them you can get star jades, jade feathers, upgrade materials and free Xueyi. In this guide you will learn how to start and complete all battles.
How to unlock Illusion of the End in Honkai: Star Rail
Before you can take on these tests, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least 40 Mastery level.
- Unlock 3rd level of balance.
Having dealt with these requirements, you will automatically receive a special quest, the completion of which opens the corresponding activity. We will tell you more about it after the update is released.
Vision of completion
Please note that if you have reached Mastery level 21, a new feature will unlock for you – Vision of Completion, thanks to which you will be able to try out content for which you have not yet met the opening conditions. This also applies to the Illusion of the End, that is, you will not necessarily move to the 3rd level of Balance.
Basics and rules of the Illusion of the End
We are talking about a series of tests of high complexity, which are updated periodically. In them you have to fight and defeat strong opponents with whom you fought before. You will need to defeat two bosses to complete the stage and score points. The more points you collect, the higher your reward will be.
Bosses
Any phase will include two bosses in Node 1 and Node 2, with four difficulty levels. At the same time, opponents will differ from standard bosses, and will have key features that are designed to help in the battle with updated enemies. Additionally, as the difficulty level increases, bosses gain basic traits.
You can use the boss strategy that appears in the upper right corner of the screen during the battle. After studying the tactics, it will be much easier for you to defeat the enemy, as you will learn about his weak points.
Gain Level
In each phase, unique Embers are updated, and different level effects occur during the battle.
After each mode update, certain Endgame Postulates are added to all boss challenges. Before a battle with an enemy, you can specify a boost for each team.
Action Index and Points
After the actions of enemies and allies, the action index is subtracted. The calculation of the test results depends on two factors: the remaining action index after destroying the boss and/or the percentage of health remaining on the boss.
If you fail to defeat the boss, then only the percentage of his remaining HP is calculated. The tests consist of two battles (Node 1 and Node 2), so the final result is the sum of the points of the two battles. Challenge scores are constantly updated based on the best score.
Repeat test
Once you complete the challenge, you will record your team's details. In the future, it will be possible to use a fixed squad to re-clear Node 1 or Node 2, meaning you can clear either one to increase your overall score.
However, when re-executing the Node, the pack, as well as the relics and light cones equipped by the characters, cannot be changed. If you have increased the level of heroes or equipment, it will change when you clear the stage again.
You can change characters and their equipment in the team setup menu and complete the Node 1 and Node 2 challenges again, which will reset the node points, but the score record on the current difficulty will not disappear.
Quick unlock
The game records the maximum difficulty level that was completed with three stars. At the beginning of each phase, the corresponding difficulty level and all previous levels will be unlocked.
As a result, you can immediately start the test with the maximum difficulty level. If you complete it with three stars, then all previous ones will also be considered completed with a maximum score, so you can collect rewards for them.
Rewards for Illusion of the End
By fighting opponents in this mode, you can receive star jades (exactly 800 pieces), jade feathers, lost crystals, traveler's guides and purified ether.
How to get free Xueyi
After completing difficulty level 2 in this activity, you can pick up a 4-star heroine for your team completely free of charge Xueyi (Destruction: Quantum). Plus, you will be given 1 self-modeling resin and 300 star jades.
