Mister Double Bass Honkai: Star Rail — hidden mini-quest on Penaconia. In it you have to help the Radiant Shpat music group find a singer who would attract new listeners. After completing this task, you will be able to get achievement "A Star is Born" and also get the opportunity to listen to new tunes on the ship.
Walkthrough of the secret quest Mr. Double Bass in Honkai: Star Rail
Talk to Mr. Contrabass
Access to the achievement opens after completing the story chapter completely "Farewell Penaconia".
Teleport to Divergent Universe on the ship "Radiant Spar" (if you completed the quest "Hearts in the Clouds", the ship will have a name that you chose yourself) and go through any of the northern doors.
Approach the stage and talk to Mr. Contrabass. He will complain that due to the lack of new tunes, no one is coming to listen to music, and will ask you to find an artist who could help bring back the old audience and attract new ones.
Next, you may have several answer options. We'll look at each of them and tell you what to do if you don't have one.
Cocona
The first answer would be “I know a singer, her name is Cocona...” If you don't have this line, you either haven't completed the quest "Imagine the coming rose", or came to a bad ending, in which the girl left Penaconia. In the first case, you still have the opportunity to invite the singer - complete the task and get a good ending by taking Cocona by the hand. If Cocona jumped from the roof in your playthrough, you won’t be able to see her again, but you can still get the achievement.
Lady in the Dream Stream Reef
In replica “I came across a lady in the Reef of the Dream Stream...” we are talking about Galatea. The singer can be found on the 2nd floor of the Dream Stream Reef, next to big nest Doctors Azure.
It is not necessary to talk to the girl, just seeing her or passing near her is enough to have the opportunity to propose her candidacy to Mr. Contrabass. Unlike Cocona, it is impossible to get the achievement without Galatea's performance.
Notes
Replica selection “Let's see if the notes you need are here...” will not bring you any closer to receiving the achievement, but will allow you to turn on one of 4 melodies:
- The Midnight Special
- Hi Dolly!
- Stranger Than Paradise
- Signature melody
Apparently, the achievement is awarded when you watch the performances of both singers (in case Cocona has not left Penaconia). In addition, after receiving the achievement, you will be able to invite Galatea to sing again, but the option with Cocona will disappear.
Awards
The achievement belongs to the “Our Memories” set and gives 5 Star Jades. As we already mentioned, you will also get the opportunity to choose the music that will be played on the ship.
