How to open the Divergent Universe
This is a new game mode that became available after the release of update 2.3, but before you can try it out, you will need to fulfill a couple of conditions, namely:

Vision of completion
Please note that if you have reached Mastery level 21, a new feature will unlock for you – Vision of Completion, thanks to which you will be able to try out content for which you have not yet met the opening conditions. This also applies to the Divergent Universe, meaning you will not necessarily complete the “Relish” quest.
After the required quest appears, go to Gerta's office on the Space Station. There you will meet Skryullum, who will tell you about a new research project and take you to Radiant Spar, where the entrance to the Divergent Universe is located.
After a short dialogue, a trial test will start in which you just need to follow the prompts on the screen. Upon completion of the tutorial, all available modes of the Divergent Universe will open for completion.
Next, we will look at all the features of the new Divergent Universe and highlight its main differences from the well-known Virtual Universe.
Intelligence progress
Exploring the Divergent Universe is similar to exploring the Virtual Universe. You will need to complete 13 zones to complete the challenge. Dimension I includes zones 1 to 4, Dimension II includes zones 6-9, and Dimension III includes zones 10-13. At the end of each Dimension you will have to fight a boss.
You can go on reconnaissance missions in the following modes.
Normal calculation
Is a permanent mode. It can be explored on five different difficulties. It is worth noting that if you reach a high Balance Level and choose a challenge that is too easy, you will not receive Synchronicity Points and other Virtual Universe rewards. If, on the contrary, you want to test your fighters under more stringent conditions, then you can launch the Threshold Protocol. For completing each difficulty level for the first time, you will receive additional rewards.
As you explore in a single playthrough, you'll collect various random blessings, equations, and curiosities. At the end of the exploration, you will meet a random boss. After defeating him, you will be able to create a save file. It will store a record of all buffs collected during the current challenge.
After completing the challenge, you will receive Inspiration Points, Approximation Points, and Weekly Virtual Universe Points. You will also be rewarded with various upgrade materials falling from enemies.
A regular calculation is updated quite infrequently. The current version of "The Comedy of Life" will last until the end patch 2.4.
Loop calculation
This mode is updated every Monday at 04:00 server time. At this point, all enemies, starting curiosities, blessings, and additional rewards are reset.
It is also distinguished from the Normal calculation by the following points:
- The boss of the last dimension is known in advance.
- At the very beginning of reconnaissance, established equations and wonders are given, in accordance with which the logic of forming a detachment will have to be adjusted.
- Completing the Cyclic Calculation for the first time in a week will bring an additional reward in the form of approximation points and materials for improving and creating relics.
In this mode, just like in Normal calculation, you can create save files and select the difficulty level of the test.
Extracting planar decorations
This mode significantly speeds up the process of farming relics. By going to the indicated section, select the difficulty and the boss guarding the decorations you need.
This is where the save files remaining after going through the Normal and Loop calculations come in handy. Select the entry you need. Let us remind you that they contain only information about the collected blessings, equations and wonders. This means that the composition of your squad may differ from previous challenges. You will also have the opportunity to take one support character.
To pass the test, you must have at least one dive key. To create it, you will need to spend 40 units of energy.
Be careful: save files are reset along with the Cyclic calculation every Monday at 04:00 server time. After this you will have to create the entry again.
Points and rewards in the Divergent Universe
Synchronicity Points
They are special points that are awarded for completing reconnaissance within the framework of Ordinary and Cyclic calculations. If you fail to complete all Dimension Challenges, you will only receive points for successfully completing zones.
Also, some points can be obtained by completing the goals specified in the sustainable array.
These points are used to increase the level of approximation. For opening each new level you can receive a reward. Their number will be updated along with the completion of the “Comedy of Life” stage in patch 2.4.
Chain and Inspiration Points
These points are also earned by completing various Calculations. You can spend it in the Inspiration Chain section. There, points are used to increase the base stats of characters within the Divergent Universe. Here you can activate various bonuses that make the tests easier, for example, opening access to consumable items or increasing the base number of space fragments.
If at some point you decide that you spent points on the wrong boost, which would be more useful for several nearby explorations, then you can always reset all settings and return the spent Inspiration. After this, you will be able to dispose of them absolutely freely.
The more often you go on reconnaissance, the faster you can discover all the links in the chain of inspiration. Thanks to this, challenges on a higher difficulty level will gradually become easier for your fighters.
Virtual Universe Points
Completing various calculations gives you weekly updated Virtual Universe activity points. So you won't have to complete different versions of the challenges twice to collect all the rewards.
Divergent Universe Buffs

In this mode, you can freely change heroes at any time. There are no restrictions. So you can easily adjust your squad to the situation that arises.
However, you won't have to worry about characters, relics, light cones, and trails not leveling up for the challenge, as they will all automatically level up when certain conditions are met.
Also, at any time you can start the battle again and even reconfigure the squad if in the process you realize that you have chosen the wrong tactics to fight a specific enemy.
It is worth noting that stat scaling is not applied when extracting planar decorations, so here you will only have to use previously collected heroes.
Blessings, Curiosities and Cosmic Fragments
For character buffs, blessings and wonders already familiar from the usual Virtual Universe are used. In the Divergent Universe, in the Opportunity Gallery section, you can also receive rewards for unlocking new items and cards.
It is worth noting that even identically named wonders and blessings in the Virtual and Divergent Universes can have different effect. An example of such an item is the Doctor's Robe. So at first you should be careful not to take an unnecessary improvement out of habit.
The currency you can use during exploration is also space fragments. At the same time, the ways of spending them differ from the ordinary Virtual Universe. You will not be able to reset your choice of blessings after the battle ends. And instead of the usual recreation areas, you will more often encounter trading areas, in which Skryullum and Herta will offer you an assortment of various curiosities and buffs.
Also, space fragments can be spent on the Creature Workbench, which we will talk about a little below.
Equations
Equations are special cards that give buffs when collecting a certain number of blessings from different Paths. This sets them apart from the Formations and Interweavings of Resonances familiar from other modes of the Virtual Universe, since they are capable of strengthening characters in several directions at once.
Let's take the Disaster Liar equation as an example. To expand it and activate the buff, you will need to collect 5 Propagation blessings and 3 Erudite blessings. The cards obtained during reconnaissance, as well as the effect of the equation itself, will be useful, for example, to the Moon Eater, as they will strengthen not only his basic attacks, as was the case when focusing on the Path of Propagation in the Virtual Universe, but will also give a buff to his superpowers.
The first such buff can be obtained immediately after entering the Divergent Universe. Often, it is from the initial options presented that you will start when selecting a squad to complete the first few combat tests. Equations are also awarded for winning boss areas and some random events.
Equations come in three rarities. We recommend that you always strive to expand 3-star cards, as they provide the strongest buff. Blessings required to activate the effect will be marked with a special icon.
Weighted curiosities
Weighted Curiosities are unique artifacts of the Divergent Universe. They are more difficult to obtain than regular ones, but the effect is noticeably stronger, since they provide a buff for characters, certain Paths and elements. Heroes who receive boosts from these items will be specially marked in the general list (see second screenshot below).
Creature Workbench
These devices with Ruan Mei creatures are located in the boss areas in the I and II dimensions, as well as during the resting phase next to Skrullum before the final test. Please note that, if necessary, you can use the workbench next to powerful elite opponents, both before and after fighting them.
Using the workbench you can do the following:
- Replace any existing equation. After that, you will be offered a choice of three random boosts of the same rarity. Within the same workbench, the cost of each subsequent rewrite increases. Currency – space fragments.
- Replace any existing blessing with any of three random ones. The first rewrite is free, the cost of each subsequent one also increases. Currency – space fragments.
- Strengthen existing blessings with the help of a special currency - warmth. The higher the gain level, the higher the cost. At each workbench it is necessary to waste absolutely all the heat. Its reserves are not transferred or divided between different devices. If you do not use a resource in one place, it will be lost forever, and you will miss the opportunity to get at least a few buffs.
Be careful when overwriting blessings and equations. Try not to spend too many space fragments on this, which may be useful in the future, for example, to purchase guaranteed necessary enhancements in the trade zone.
Random Zone
This place is a rare area that does not appear on every reconnaissance mission. There you will find a special workbench of creatures, as well as a couple of chests containing a large number of cosmic fragments.
With this special workbench you can:
- Recraft two ordinary wonders of the same rarity into one. Although it is impossible to destroy negative objects, you can still get rid of other things that are not useful.
- Transform one weighted curiosity into another. Can be used if there are no damage dealers of the required Paths or elements.
Attempts at synthesis are limited, and each of them will have to be paid for in cosmic fragments.
Probability Gallery
A special space on Radiant Spar, which will open as part of the quest “Probabilities, Aesthetics and Schemes”. First you will need to complete exploration on any difficulty level. After this, Skryullum will invite you, following the quest marker, to go to the exhibition area of exhibits and paintings.
- In the exhibit area you will be able to display objects obtained for completing various modes of the Virtual and Divergent Universes. Each item displayed will provide certain boosts that make the challenge easier.
- In the painting area, you can place canvases reminiscent of certain trials and events of the Virtual and Divergent Universes. They do not provide any enhancements and are only interior items.
Divergent Universe Zones
In general, the Divergent Universe repeats most of the zones from other similar modes. It’s only worth remembering that battle rooms have a much more predictable result, while at the same time random events can either give a big reward or give away a negative curiosity.
It is only necessary to highlight the features of the following zones. After defeating the bosses in dimensions I and II, the Excessive conversion. At this moment, a second wave of enemies will appear in front of you and 5 skill points and the energy of all allies will be restored. In this mode, your task is to inflict as much damage as possible on enemies. For completing the set goals for gaining points, awarded for any damage to monsters, you will be rewarded with chests, which can contain equations, blessings and curiosities.
All damage, including fatal damage, inflicted on characters during the Excessive Transformation will be neutralized after the end of the battle, and their HP will return to the value that they had at the time of the death of the main boss.
Also worth mentioning wealth zone. In this type of room you will find a chest containing 400 space fragments and a slot machine.
By paying several dozen space fragments for each attempt, you will get the opportunity to play the slot machine three times. Your reward can be a curiosity, including a negative one, or a blessing. There is a possibility of leaving completely empty-handed. For this reason, try not to overspend in hopes of hitting the jackpot.
The peculiarity of this zone is that it is absolutely not necessary to even start the machine. The passage to the next room will become available immediately after opening the chest, thanks to which you can earn several hundred cosmic fragments completely painlessly.
Combat Tactics in the Divergent Universe
Choosing Paths
Since equations and bosses in the Divergent Universe are completely random, it is impossible to develop any one tactic for collecting blessings that is universal for each intelligence. For this reason, we will only briefly recall what bonuses the different Paths provide. You can understand which buffs will be more useful for a particular hero by reading guide to the desired character, which will indicate the features of his skills and damage.
- Abundance is a universal blessing that ensures the survivability of the party.
- Conservation - also ensures the survivability of the squad. It will perform especially well if there is a shield member in the squad, as it will allow you to inflict additional damage from the thickness of the protective barrier.
- Destruction – gives bonuses to attack and HP. Great for those heroes whose gameplay relies on constant waste of health, for example, for Blade.
- Hunting – provides universal buffs for damage dealers and bonuses to the speed of the entire squad.
