Jane Doe's abilities and their upgrade priority

You can read about the heroine's abilities in the game itself, so we decided to add it under the spoiler so as not to increase the size of the article. We also recommend that you study our combat system guide, to better understand it.

    Basic attacks

    Dance with blades

Press the Basic Attack button (LMB) to launch. Jane performs up to 6 strikes in front of her, dealing physical damage.

    Madness of excitement

When Jane performs a Perfect Dodge, Defensive Assist, or a move that deals damage to an enemy, she accumulates the "Excitement Surge" effect. When the "Excitement Surge" effect reaches its maximum, the agent enters the "Excitement Frenzy" state. In the "Excitement Frenzy" state, Jane accumulates Physical Attribute Anomaly 25% faster. In addition, if Jane's Anomaly Knowledge is higher than 120, each additional point of Anomaly Knowledge increases Jane's Attack Power by 2. The total attack power increase in this way cannot exceed 600.

If Jane performs a move that deals damage to an enemy while in the Gaming Frenzy state, it will consume the Gaming Rush effect. Performing a Perfect Dodge or a Defensive Assist will restore the Gaming Rush effect. When the Gaming Rush effect is consumed to zero, Jane exits the Gaming Frenzy state.

    Salchow

When Jane enters the Gaming Frenzy state, she gains the ability to perform the basic attack Salchow once. To perform the attack, hold down the Basic Attack button (LMB) if Jane has at least one attack left. Jane performs a series of quick attacks in front of her, followed by a Finisher, dealing physical damage. While performing a series of attacks, hold down the Normal Attack button to extend the attack, and release it to perform the Finisher early. While performing a series of attacks, Interrupt Defense is increased and Jane takes 40% less damage. Jane is invulnerable while performing the Finisher. If Jane damages an enemy with the Basic Attack Salchow while in Gaming Frenzy, it will restore the effect of Gaming Rush.

    Evasion

    Evasion: Mirage

Press the dodge button (RMB or L Shift) to quickly slip past an enemy and dodge. The agent is invulnerable while using this skill. Jane has one additional dodge. Before entering the "Gambling Frenzy" state, Jane can switch between the two dodges. After entering the "Gambling Frenzy" state, Jane can slip between enemies in front of her when dodging.

    Dash Attack: Rib Jump

To activate, press the Basic Attack button (LMB) while dodging. Performing this move after the first dodge causes the agent to slash upward in front of them, dealing physical damage. Performing this move after the second dodge causes the agent to slash in front of them, dealing physical damage.

    Dash Attack: Phantom Strike

To activate, press the Basic Attack button (LMB) while dodging while in Thrill Frenzy. Jane performs three quick slashes in front of her, dealing physical damage.

    Counterattack after dodging: Misty Haze

To activate, press the Basic Attack button (LMB) after performing a Perfect Dodge. Performing this move after the first dodge causes Jane to slash at enemies in front of her, then slash downwards, dealing physical damage. Performing this move after the second dodge causes the agent to jump and slash at enemies in front of her in a series of three consecutive attacks, dealing physical damage. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Counterattack after dodging: Dance in the misty haze

To activate, press the Basic Attack button (LMB) after performing a Perfect Dodge while in Gaming Frenzy. Jane performs a series of rapid slashes on enemies in front of her, dealing physical damage. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

    Help

    Quick Help: Black Thorn

To activate, press the Assist button (Space) when the active character is knocked up. Jane performs a series of slashes on enemies in front of her, then slashes downwards, dealing physical damage. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

    Quick Help: Lutz

To activate, press the Assist button (Space) when the active character is thrown up while in the "Frenzy of Excitement" state. Jane performs a series of rapid slashes on enemies in front of her, dealing physical damage. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Evasion Assistance: Last Line of Defense

To activate, press the help button (Space) when the character is about to be attacked. Jane parries enemy attacks, accumulating a lot of stun points on them. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

    Additional Attack Assist: Wind Gust

To activate, press the Basic Attack button (LMB) after performing a Defense Assist. Jane jumps up, delivers a quick slash to the enemy, and then performs another horizontal slash, knocking down enemies in a large area in front of her and dealing physical damage. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

    Special attacks

    Air swing

Press the Special Attack button (E) to activate. Jane jumps up, performs a series of kicks in the air in front of her, and then a sweeping horizontal kick, dealing physical damage. While using this skill, her Interrupt Defense is increased.

    Air Slash - Tail Smash

To activate, press the special attack button (E) when Jane has enough energy. The agent jumps up, performs a series of kicks in front of her, and then a sweeping horizontal kick, dealing massive physical damage. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

    Attack chains

    Attack Chain: Flowers of Evil

To activate, select an agent while a chain attack is in progress. Jane dashes between enemies in a large area in front of her, slashing and dealing massive physical damage. When activated, Jane enters the "Gambling Frenzy" state and the "Gambling Rush" effect is maxed out. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

    Superpower: Final Act

To activate, press the Ultimate (Q) button at maximum decibel level. The agent dashes between enemies in a large area in front of him, performing slashes and then a finishing blow, dealing massive physical damage. When activated, Jane enters the "Frenzy of Excitement" state, and the level of the "Excitement Rush" effect increases to maximum. The character is invulnerable while using this skill.

    Makings

Main Passive Skill: Essence of Things

When Jane's attack damages an enemy, the enemy enters the Rat Bite state for 10 seconds. If anyone in the squad hits an enemy in the Rat Bite state with Charge and applies the Cowardice effect, the Cowardice effect is extended by 5 seconds, and the damage from Charge can become critical with a base critical hit chance of 20-40%% and a critical damage value of 50%. Each point of Jane's Anomaly Knowledge further increases the critical hit chance of this effect by 0.1-0.16%.

    Additional ability: Pain point

Activates if there are other agents in the squad with the Anomaly specialty or from the same faction. Jane builds Physical Attribute Anomaly 20% faster. If an enemy is already in an Attribute Anomaly state, Jane builds that enemy's Physical Attribute Anomaly an additional {15% faster.

As for pumping up the heroine's talents , then the priority should be the inclinations and evasions, as they are the main source of her damage. Next in importance are basic and special attacks (thereby increasing her overall DPS).

Once you've maxed out these abilities, you can move on to upgrading chains of hits (ulta), increasing Jane's overall damage. Upgrade Assist last, as it's noticeably less useful than other abilities.

    Mental Picture of Jane Doe

To open it, you need to accumulate Agent Profiles, which are given out when duplicates of the heroine fall out, which, of course, is random. Considering the small chance of getting 5-star characters, you will need to spend a lot of time and money to unlock all the mental girls. However, even without them, Jane can easily play the role of main DD.

The table below lists all the mental abilities, their descriptions and benefits for the heroine.

    Name Bonus Utility
Consultant on criminal psychology Jane can use the basic attack "Salchow" one more time. In the "Gambling Madness" state, Jane accumulates Physical Attribute Anomaly 15% more efficiently, and each point of Jane's Anomaly Knowledge increases her damage by 0.1% (up to a maximum of 30%). This mentality will help Jane trigger Rush faster and use the special move Salchow twice during one state of Gambling Madness. It brings medium-high benefit.
Who you hang out with When Jane's attack hits an enemy in the Rat Bite state, or when a party member applies the Rush effect to an enemy in the Rat Bite state, 15% of the enemy's Defense is ignored. If Rush causes a critical hit, its critical damage is increased by an additional 50%. An excellent mental ability that significantly increases the damage of the heroine's "Onslaught". Brings very high benefits.
Anonymity Basic Attack, Evasion, Assist, Special Attack, Chain Attack Level +2. Average benefit.
Master of improvisation If someone on the team activates the Onslaught or Chaos effect, the damage from the attribute anomaly for the entire squad is increased by 18% for 15 seconds. Anomaly characters start to deal more damage when Jane is present in the team. This passive will be especially useful in groups on "Chaos". Brings high benefit.
Rat thriftiness Basic Attack, Evasion, Assist, Special Attack, Chain Attack Level +2. Average benefit.
Dirty Tricks While in the Gambling Frenzy state, Jane's Critical Hit Chance is increased by 20% and Critical Damage is increased by 40%. Whenever a squad member inflicts the Rush effect on an enemy, Jane immediately enters the Gambling Frenzy state and increases the level of the Rush effect to the maximum. Whenever Rush causes a Critical Hit, Jane performs an additional attack on that enemy, dealing Physical Damage equal to 1600% of her Abnormality Knowledge. An excellent mental ability that gives a huge boost to the heroine's overall damage, turning her into a real berserker. In addition, it changes Jane's gameplay, allowing her to activate her special mode almost immediately.

If you still decide to try your luck, you can stop at M1 and M2 , thanks to which you can significantly increase the overall damage of Jane Doe. If you have a choice between a starting mental weapon and a signature weapon, we advise you to take the second option, since the signature will bring more benefits.

How to play as Jane Doe

    Basic combinations

Its gameplay is built around the accumulation of the "Tide of Excitement" scale (it is located in the upper left corner of the screen) and the transition to the "Madness of Excitement" state (the bar turns red), which increases the heroine's damage and accelerates the accumulation of anomaly in enemies. You can collect the scale by the following actions:

    • Any damage-dealing moves are not the most effective, as the buildup is relatively slow and Jane's damage will be relatively small.
    • A chain of attacks and a super ability - immediately fill the scale to the maximum, allowing you to instantly go into a strengthened state. But before this, you first need to stun the enemy or accumulate decibels, so this method can be considered situational.
    • Dodges are a good option, as each successful dodge fills the bar by about 15-20%. If you add counters here, you can completely fill the bar in 4 dodges.
    • Defensive Assist is the best option, as it instantly fills the bar to 69%. All you need to do is perform 1-2 dodges to enter the enhanced mode. So we recommend that you start the fight with an ally (like Seth), and then use Assist to switch to Jane and activate Gaming Madness almost instantly. The gif below shows an example of this tactic.

In "Madness of Excitement" do not start mindlessly beating all enemies left and right, otherwise you will quickly use up the corresponding scale. The thing is that you can extend its action. The main way to do this is Salchow technique , which you can only perform once per "Madness of Excitement" (if you don't have M1). It restores about 30% of the bar.

Note that when "Salchow" is active, the heroine takes 40% less damage, and during the execution of the finishing blow, she becomes completely invulnerable. So if you see that the enemy is about to perform an attack, then simply release the attack button to avoid taking damage. You can find out that you can perform "Salchow" by the red flashing button located to the right of the "Tide of Excitement" bar.

The second method of restoring the scale involves using perfect evasion - it restores about 20% of the bar, and subsequent counterattacks spend relatively few points. Let's add that immediately after the counterattack, when switching to normal attacks, you will immediately carry out the 5th and 6th hits of the chain, during which the heroine is also invulnerable.

Therefore, we recommend that you always use Salchow after entering the "Frenzy of Excitement" and use mostly dodges followed by counterattacks and two normal attacks to extend the duration of the enhanced mode as much as possible. You can also activate enhanced special attacks when they are ready. In general, the rotation will look like this:

    1. Build up Excitement Rush with Dodges or Defense Assist to quickly transition into Excitement Frenzy.
    2. Start using perfect dodges followed by counterattacks and 2 normal attacks to deal maximum damage to enemies and maintain the enhanced mode. When ready, use enhanced special attacks.
    3. When the Thrill Rush gauge drops below half, use Salchow to deal additional damage and extend the duration of Thrill Madness again.
    4. Let's remember that the ult can instantly enter the "Madness of Excitement" or completely restore its scale, so use the super ability either when the bar approaches 0 or if it is blue.

    Advanced Combinations

The information above should be enough to deal massive damage to your enemies as Jane. However, if you want to maximize her potential, you can try learning some advanced techniques. For example, after dodging, you can press the attack and assist buttons at the same time to perform two attacks at once, dealing massive damage to your opponent.

If you have a support in your team that can boost Jane, such as Seth, try to use quick help in the "Frenzy of Excitement" mode. For example, the cat-boy will be able to give the rat an Unwavering Shield, which will increase her knowledge of the anomaly. However, such a technique will not increase the "Frenzy of Excitement" scale, which is why you will have to monitor it even more carefully.

As for the enhanced special attack, it is great for invoking Chaos. For example, you can invoking Shock with Grace's attacks, and then perform an enhanced E to trigger Chaos and deal massive damage.

However, you should be careful when using this technique when the enemy's Anomaly bar is fully accumulated (the circle next to his health bar). The thing is that in this case, the enhanced special attack will not give an additional anomaly, and it will simply go nowhere.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Jane Doe

With the help of its unique abilities, the rat can inflict significant physical damage to both single targets and large groups of enemies. Its advantages also include:

    • A very mobile character, even without the "Madness of Excitement" state activated, as he can make as many as 3 dashes instead of 2.
    • Capable of accumulating physical Anomaly extremely quickly and consistently, resulting in very frequent "Onslaught" activations.
    • Can cause Onslaught to critically damage an enemy, an additional multiplier that is not available to any other Anomaly hero at the time of Jane's release.
    • Deals massive damage both on and off the field (during attack chains and defensive assists), making her a valuable damage dealer throughout the entire battle.
    • A skilled player can extend her "Frenzy of Excitement" almost indefinitely through dodges and other abilities, keeping her in enhanced mode at all times.
    • She can easily play the role of a hypercarry or combine with other Anomaly damage dealers in Chaos squads, which significantly increases her flexibility when building teams and makes her a very promising heroine for the future.
    • Has wide sweeping attacks, so can deal damage to several enemies at once and control the crowd.
    • Increasing the Knowledge of the Anomaly also increases the Attack Power in the "Madness of Excitement" state, which makes its assembly much easier, since you can pay attention to fewer characteristics.
    • She is able to perform her main role perfectly even without opening the Mental Picture, which will certainly appeal to F2P players.

However, it is still impossible to call Jane an ideal character, since she also has her drawbacks:

    • Its gameplay, with the need to constantly build up the "Gambling Rush" meter, can feel a bit tedious, especially if you can't maintain "Gambling Frenzy" for long.
    • The heroine's effectiveness drops significantly when fighting enemies that do not have an Anomaly scale. Fortunately, there are few such opponents in the game.
    • Loses significant power if unable to obtain enough Anomaly Knowledge to increase its attack power and other stats.
    • Sometimes she may lose a large amount of damage due to the anomaly bar recharging (remember that her enhanced special attack does not cause the next bar to accumulate).

    Best build for Jane Doe

    The best amplifiers

The table below presents the most interesting options.

    Name Characteristics Ability and benefit

    Pointed thorns

    Base Attack: 56-714

    Anomaly Knowledge: 36-90

When activating a dash attack, the wearer gains 1 level of the Predator Instinct effect. Each stack increases the wearer's physical damage by 12-24% for 10 seconds. The bonus stacks up to 3 times and is triggered once every 0.5 seconds. Repeated launches reset the duration. When entering the battlefield or activating Perfect Evasion, the wearer gains 3 stacks at once. With 3 levels, the efficiency of the wearer's anomaly accumulation increases by 40-80%.

A signature weapon for Jane that boosts all of her stats. It outperforms the closest alternative by at least 20%, so if you have to choose between Sharpened Spikes or M1, take this weapon.

    Built-in compiler

    Base Attack: 46-684

    Penetration chance: 9.6-24%

Attack power increases by 12-24%. When launching a special attack or enhanced special attack, the agent's anomaly knowledge with this item increases by 25-50 units. The effect stacks up to 3 times, lasts for 8 seconds. The duration of each level is calculated separately.

Jane doesn't use special attacks as often as Grace, as it will significantly speed up the exit from "Mad Excitement", so it will be harder to gain passive. Overall, it is a good amplifier, which, however, is inferior to the signature by 20%.

    Crying Twins

    Base Attack: 40-594

    Attack Power: 10-25%

Whenever a squad member casts an attribute anomaly on an enemy, the agent with this item gains 1 additional level of the effect, increasing their knowledge of the anomaly by 30-48 points. This effect can stack up to 4 times and disappears if the target is released from the stun state or is destroyed. The duration of each effect is calculated separately.

Can be purchased in the toy store, and at the 5th rank of improvement it lags behind the signature by only 15% (if all conditions are met). Stacks are collected quite quickly in packs on "Chaos".

    Electro Lip Gloss

    Base Attack: 40-594

    Anomaly Knowledge: 30-75

If there are enemies with attribute anomaly on the battlefield, the attack power of the agent with this item increases by 10-16%, and the damage of the target agent increases by 15-25%.

At the 5th rank of improvement and with all active bonuses, it lags behind the signature by only 10-13%, but to get 5 copies of the amplifier, you will have to pour a lot of money into the game (it is better to spend it on knocking out Sharpened Spikes). In addition, it takes some time to activate the passive, so at the beginning of the battle, the damage from the weapon will be mediocre. This is the reason why we placed it below the previous option.

    Roaring car

    Base Attack: 40-594

    Attack Power: 10-25%

When an enhanced special attack hits an enemy, one random effect out of three is launched for 5 sec. Triggers once every 0.3 sec, identical effects do not stack, repeated launches reset the duration. Different effects can exist simultaneously. Possible effects: - the attack power of the agent with this item increases by 8-12.8%; - the knowledge of the anomaly of the agent with this item increases by 40-64 units; - the efficiency of accumulation of the attribute anomaly increases by 25-40%.

As we have already noted above, Jane does not often use special attacks, as they reduce the duration of "Madness of Excitement", but the passive will still be very useful to her. The bonus to the attack power will increase the heroine's overall damage.

    Tropical Gourmet

    Base Attack: 40-594

    Anomaly Knowledge: 30-75

For every 10 energy spent, an agent with this item gains a 2.5-4% attack boost for 10 sec. The effect stacks up to 10 times, with each level's duration counted separately.

Due to the infrequent use of special attacks, it will be difficult to gain stacks of Jane's passive. However, this is slightly compensated by the secondary characteristic. Let us remind you that knowledge of the anomaly will be converted into the heroine's attack power.

    Best Drive Discs

    Name Bonuses Advantages

    Fierce heavy metal

    Freedom Blues (2 parts)

2 parts: Increases physical damage by 10%.

4 pieces: When a team member Rush an enemy, the wearer deals 35% increased damage for 12 seconds.

2 parts: Increases knowledge of anomalies by 30 units.

The best option for Jane, as it gives a direct bonus to physical damage and increases damage even more when calling "Onslaught", and you will trigger it often, especially if there are other physical heroes in the team, such as Piper or Nekomata. Knowledge of the anomaly can give an additional bonus to attack power.

As for main characteristics of drives , then your selection should look like this:

    • IV-sector: knowledge of anomaly.
    • V-sector: Physical damage bonus (priority) or penetration chance%.
    • VI-sector: anomaly control (priority) or attack power%.
    • Substats: Anomaly Knowledge > Attack Power% > Penetration Chance

If we talk about recommended values of parameters Jane , then they should look something like this:

    • Attack: 2400-2900 units
    • Health: 9000+
    • Defense: 800+
    • Knowledge of anomaly: 360-420 units (at 420 units you will be able to get an additional 600 units of attack power)
    • Anomaly Control: 150-195 units

    Best Commands for Jane Doe

    F2P team

    Maine-DD Sub-DD Support Banbu

    Jane

    Enby

    Nicole

    Magnitobu (Avocabu, Packetnik, Barobu)

Unfortunately, Jane doesn't have any synergy with any of the free characters, so she won't be able to activate her extra ability with them, but Nicole will allow you to reduce enemy defense, and Enby will effectively stun them and trigger attack chains for a quick activation of "Frenzy of Excitement". You can use this option for now, but it is advisable to quickly move on to at least the next squad.

    Newbie Team

    Maine-DD Sub-DD Support Banbu

    Jane

    Piper

    Set

    Magnitoba (Officer Tsui)

A noticeable improvement over the previous squad, as it allows Jane to use her additional ability. She also gets a noticeable buff from Seth and can increase Piper's Charge. Both of her companions are epic, making them easier to obtain and level up.

    Command for Onslaught

    Maine-DD Sub-DD Support Banbu

    Jane

    Nekomata

    Set

    Revolverbu (Officer Tsui, Magnitobu, Lucky)

    Jane

    Rina (Lucy, Piper)

    Set

    Officer Tsui (Magnetobu, Shtekerbu)

In both variants, Seth is a great support, helping to activate Jane's additional ability, increase her Knowledge of Anomaly, and reduce the resistance to the accumulation of Anomaly in enemies.

As for Nekomata, she would be a great ally for Jane, making it easier for her to apply Charge to enemies by increasing the effectiveness of her enhanced special attacks.

As for Rina, she can give Jane a significant bonus to her penetration chance, thereby increasing her Onslaught damage. However, without M1, the maid's buff duration is rather short. If Rina is not available, you can try taking Lucy instead, who can give Jane a 600 attack buff.

    Command on Chaos

    Maine-DD Sub-DD Support Banbu

    Jane

    Piper

    Set

    Pluggerbu (Officer Tsui, Magnitobu)

As we noted above, Jane pairs well with Grace, as the latter can help inflict Chaos on enemies. It is enough to first cast Shock on them, and then switch to the rat and bring their physical anomaly to the limit (often one enhanced special attack is enough for this).

Any of the characters listed above will do as a support. We have already listed their advantages for Jane above. We will add that other squads will appear in this section in the future when the developers add new Anomaly characters to the game.
