In Genshin Impact Trails in Tianqiu is a world quest in which you will have to solve three different puzzles. If you're having trouble finding or solving them, check out our guide.
If you have not yet taken on this task, then you should know that to start it you need to interact with the stone slab and read the ancient inscription. This facility is located in the Tianqiu Valley. The screenshots below show its exact location. Also make sure your main character has geovision turned on.
Passage of the quest "Trails in Tianqiu"
You will need to solve three separate puzzles to get the light components and activate the altar in the center. We will look at each riddle and explain how they can be solved. As part of them, you will need to light torches, fight enemies and jump a lot. The map below shows the location of all temples with riddles.
North - Lantern Puzzle
Head to the northern temple and you'll find three tall and three short lanterns arranged in a triangle shape. Use an arsonist character like Amber to light one tall and one short lantern. After that, all torches are instantly activated, and you can open the chest.
Move on to the next piece of the puzzle. You will see six lanterns again, but this time they will be set in a star shape. Each torch you light activates or deactivates two other lanterns, so they need to be lit in a certain sequence. The correct order is shown in the screenshot below with numbers. After the 5th hit, you should only have one torch left burning. From there it should be easy.
An alternative way to complete the puzzle
Let's say you've already started the puzzle, which is why you can't reach the state that the torches were in when you first went up to the 2nd floor. In this case, make it so that you only have 1 torch burning (it doesn't matter which side). After that, shoot the lantern opposite the 1st on the right diagonal (see the screenshots below). The 1st will go out and the 2 ahead will activate. Now shoot at the lantern, which is opposite the 1st, but already on the left diagonal. As a result, all torches will be lit.
Open the chest and go upstairs to take on the last part of this puzzle. There are two torches on each wall of the room. Start by lighting the lanterns on the left wall and then go to the right wall. Next, activate them on the back wall and finally on the front wall. Walk left to right on each vertical surface to unlock the chest. Examine it and jump onto the pedestal behind it to reach the light component.
West - Jump Puzzle
In the western temple, a challenge with platforming elements awaits you. We recommend using the Traveler with geovision. If you didn't know, you can change the main character element to Geo by interacting with the Statue of the Seven in Liyue and selecting the appropriate option.
The fact is that you will need his ability to place spheres on which you can jump, and then quickly climb the platforms. You will only have one minute to reach the top. When you reach the next platform, simply place the sphere on it and jump to the next platform.
The first wooden platform can be climbed on your own by standing behind it near the stone wall (see the first screenshot above). After climbing it, immediately place a Geo-Construction and climb it. Turn around and jump onto the stone ledge. Run to the left and glide onto the second wooden platform (see the first two images below).
Place the second Geo Structure on the edge of the platform, climb it and jump to the third wooden platform in front. Now install a stone sphere on it. Jump from it to the fourth wooden platform. Then go to the stone ledge and run to the right to the light rhombus. On the way down, you can inspect the chest on the front wall.
Note: We were told here that you can also use the heroine Keqing. Throw daggers at the right places, and then just teleport to them. So you get to the required points for the specified period of time. You can also try using Venti, Kazuha, Zhongli or Wind Catcher.
South - Battle Puzzle
The southern temple has the easiest of the three puzzles, but you should prepare for an extremely difficult fight. On each floor, you will encounter waves of enemies belonging to different elements, which you must defeat before the timer runs out. Select strong team with characters whose elements interact well with each other. Then work your way through each floor, and get to the light component. Pyro the abyss mage will be approached by Cryo and Hydro heroes, and Cryo the abyss mage should be fought by Pyro and Electro characters.
After completing the third puzzle and installing all the pyramids on the monument, the seal will finally be released. However, Treasure Thieves will suddenly appear and try to steal your precious loot. Deal with all opponents, and soon three luxurious chests with your reward will appear. You will also receive 450 Adventure Points, 60 Sourcestones, and 30,000 Mora.
