How to start the Buried Kingdom quest
To start this world quest, you will need to find a book called Ancient Explorer's Journal. It consists of three parts and the discovery of any of them will immediately lead to the start of the mission.
We'll list the locations of all three books below so you can decide which one to find first. After finding one of the parts, you will need to return to the camp and talk to Stevens. As soon as he finishes his monologue, you have to go on a short journey in order to find two other books.

An Ancient Investigation Journal: Part I
To find this book, teleport to the Statue of the Seven, go south and drop down the hole, then turn left to find a passage with a sealed console.
This is the part another world quest so you will definitely come back here in the future. As for the part of the diary, it can be found in the chest, which is hidden behind the fallen column to the left of the console.
An Ancient Investigation Journal: Part II
Head to the Outskirts of the Buried Capital (south of the teleporter) and you'll find a hole in the ground with a layer of frozen water on top. Here you have to solve two puzzles with fairies.
You will see 4 heating pedestals around the ice-crusted hole, and one fairy on each side of the hole. Touch one of the spirits and it will go around the hole, activating all the pedestals. Follow him and touch the second fairy so that she also goes around the hole. As a result, all 4 braziers will light up and melt the ice. Below you will find Ruin Thresher, 5 new pedestals and 3 fairies.
Here, below, to solve the puzzle, you have to do the same as above. Touching the fairies will cause them to go around 5 plinths and turn them on. They deactivate much faster, so you will need to touch the spirits in a certain way. The fairies move clockwise around the pedestals, so start with the one on the right (when looking at them while standing near the Ruin Grader). Then touch the middle firefly and finish with the left one. DO NOT run from one to the other - move without sprinting to catch the perfect moment.
As soon as you do this, the enemy will wake up. Destroy it and a gate will open allowing you to examine 3 chests, one of which contains a book.
An Ancient Investigation Journal: Part III
You can find it near the southwest entrance to Starlight Cave. From the teleport, go east, go down into the hole and, when you start going deeper into the dungeon, look to the right side. Soon you will see a large ice Elemental Reaction: Crystallize blocking your path.
Pick up Scarlet Quartz and destroy the ice block. On the right side you will find several shelves. Examine them to find the book.
Now go back to Stevens at the Adventurer Camp and talk to him to complete the quest. As a reward, you will receive 400 Adventure Points, 50 Source Stones, 3 Hero XP, 40,000 Mora, and Magic Buff Ore. You will also unlock the "Snow-Stored History" achievement.
