In Genshin Impact Butterfly Charon is a task of legends, or rather, a quest chain for the owner of the funeral parlour Hu Tao. As part of it, you will have to solve a couple of puzzles in the dungeon and fight a lot of enemies. If you have any difficulties with its passage, then study our guide.
In order to start this quest, you will need to reach Adventure Rank 40, obtain the Story Key (complete 8 daily quests), and complete the 2nd story chapter "Farewell, Ancient Lord" Thoma 1. Then just open the menu with events and select the required task. At the moment, only its 1st chapter is available, entitled "And Yet the Butterflies Fly Away".
The Mysterious Wangsheng Parlor
First of all, head to the marker located on the slope of Uvan. When you get to the right place, talk to Uncle Meng. He will run away from you. Catch up with him by following the sign and talk to him again. There you will meet Hu Tao.
After a short conversation, go to the branch of the Adventurer's Guild located in Liyue With You your new acquaintance. We talk with Miss Lan. When the dialogue ends, we run to the funeral home, following the quest marker. We communicate with Hu Tao again.
While we are waiting for our new acquaintance, we examine the wooden board and the door to the funeral home, and then we speak with the Ferrywoman standing nearby. Chat with Hu Tao again. Next, we will need to visit a potential client - we are talking about Little U. We talk with him and go to the following clients: Mu Mu and Tsung Tzu. Their location will be indicated on the map, so you should not have any problems finding them.
This will complete the quest and you will receive 500 adventure points, 34075 Mora, 4 hero experience and 7 magical enhancement ore.
In Pursuit of a Phantom
Before starting this quest, you will learn that Hu Tao has long since moved on from developing her business to solving the next goal: to find someone named Big G. Now go to Wangsheng Funeral Home and talk to Meng.
After learning the latest news, head to the place of the ritual. Watch the cut-scene, and then start protecting the earth's artery monolith from the hilichurls. At the end, you will have to fight the mitachurl - we advise you to deal with him first.
After dealing with the enemies, talk to Lo and Hu again. After that, the quest will end and you will receive 400 adventure points, 27,825 Mora, 3 hero experience and 6 magical enhancement ore.
Friendships, Wishes, and Regrets
Return to the funeral home again to find out what exactly happened. Chat with Hu Tao and Big G. Next, move to Little Wu, located nearby. He will ask you to bring him Jueyun Chili - this local curiosity Liyue, which can be found in Qing Ce Village and Skyward Reach.
Having obtained the necessary items, give it to the character. Now head to Mu Mu. He will give you a Luxurious Toybox. Go to Tsung Zi and chat with her. She will direct you to the warehouse manager. Examine the boxes to find a Plaustrite Shard, and then give it to the girl.
Watch a short cut-scene to complete the quest. You will receive 500 Adventure Points, 34,075 Mora, 4 Hero XP, and 7 Enchant Magic Ore.
Perfect Send-Off
Go to Wuwan Hill and give memorabilia to Hu Tao. After talking to her, go to the "usual place" by following the marker. Start the passage of the dungeon by taking control of the owner of the funeral home. We advise you to take into the team characters who can heal the heroine and impose shields on her.
Solving puzzles in the Enter the “border” Dungeon
Follow the signpost by destroying the vines with the Pyro ability. Now you will need to stand in such a way that a huge symbol forms on the cobblestone in front (the screenshot below shows the required camera angle).
A new passage will appear. Enter it and fight the cryo slimes. Climb up and deal with the hilichurls. Approach the monument and activate it with any fire skill. Take advantage of the air current that appears to soar up.
Destroy the Pyro vines with the ability to get to the first blue orb. Bring it to the lantern near the closed door. Now stand near the cobblestone with drawings at the right angle (shown in the screenshot) to form a specific symbol. This will unlock the second blue orb. Take it and insert it into the second lantern.
Enter the opened passage. Interact with the cube and deal with all the enemies. Move on, opening the stone doors. You will find yourself in a room with two stone lanterns and only one blue orb. Pick up the blue orb and go through the opening with the spider blocking the path. You do NOT need to insert a light into the lantern, otherwise you will forever repeat the loop.
Follow the looping corridor until you return to the same room with two stone torches. Once there, insert the blue orb you have into one of the stone lanterns and place the second orb into the other torch. Jump into the water and keep moving along the only path. Watch the touching cut-scene and examine the chests.
Now return to Uwan Slope to see Big G off. Talk to the characters to complete the quest. You will receive 600 Adventure Points, 60 Source Stones, 41,750 Mora, Diligence Pointers, 5 Hero XP, and 5 Enchantment Magic Ore.
