In Genshin Impact local curiosities are special materials that are often used to exalt various characters. Sometimes they are required to bring certain characters as part of the main or side quests.
These resources are mostly found in the wild, so you're sure to find them in your normal exploration of the world. Location of local curiosities in Liyue
Jueyun Chili
- Required to ascend: Xiangling
The easiest local curiosity in terms of farming. There are two reasons for this. First of all, the Jueyun Chili can be found in almost the entire territory of the Cloudbound Reach and Qing Ce Village. Secondly, as soon as you pick up one plant, you will immediately receive up to 3 necessary items. In a separate guide, we indicated the location of all sky-high peppers.
Silk Flower
- Required to ascend: Xingqiu
It can be found in large numbers near the Wang Shu Inn and Liyue Harbor, both of which are easily accessible via fast travel points. You will receive two mulberries for every red bush you find. We told more about finding this plant in separate guide.
Glaze Lily
- Required to ascend: Ningguang
You can find her near Liyue Harbor. Teleport to the fast travel point next to the Adventurer's Guild and head to the huge tree next to the teleporter to find two lilies. There are other similar flowers in the immediate area, so be sure to take a walk in and around the city.

Qingxin
- Required to ascend: Xiao
This flower can be found in different parts of Cloud Sky and Qingyun Peak. Finding this item will take a lot of time, as you will have to climb a lot of mountains, so we do not recommend farming it if you just need to find a certain number of local curiosities (for example, for a battle pass). Violetgrass
- Required for Ascension: Qiqi
They can be found on the rocks of the Liyue region. Just head to the rocky areas and start climbing the mountains. You will definitely find this material. Read more about the best places to farm this material in separate guide.
Star shell
These materials can usually be found on the coast of the sea. Below we have indicated the location where you will definitely find shells. To get to it, you will most likely have to go through several monster camps, so be careful. IN separate guide we have indicated the exact location of all star shells.
Cor Lapis
- Required for Ascension: Chongyun, Zhongli and Keqing
This mineral can be obtained by breaking yellow-orange stones that are found only in Liyue. There are quite a few of them in Ming Yun Village. Note that all the best places to farm this resource are listed in separate guide.
Noctilucous Jade
- Required to ascend: Beidou
It can be obtained by breaking azure stones in the caves located in Liyue. Many of these mines can be found near Ming Yun Village. IN separate guide we have indicated all the locations of these gems.
You can also buy it from store "Mysteries of Jade" , located opposite the alchemy shop in Liyue Harbor. One pebble costs 1000 Mora.
