Purifying Him in Genshin Impact: Contagious Tumors and Hakushin Ring

    Zorthrus

In Genshin Impact His cleansing is Legends of Inazuma Quest and the final stage of the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual mission chain. As part of it, you have to fight infectious tumors and solve a couple of puzzles with lanterns. As a reward, you will receive a Mask of Memories, which is the recipe for a 4-star Hakushin Ring catalyst. If you're having trouble completing this quest, check out our guide.

How to start the Purification of Him quest

To do this, you will need to complete the mission "Cleansing Defilement" associated with the destruction of barriers. After that, the task you need starts automatically. If this does not happen, then try logging out of your account and re-entering the game.

    Find and speak with Kazari

It can be found near the very first barrier you removed, located in a cave, which can be accessed through a well located in the village of Konda. It can be found behind the house of the local headman.

Climb down and go through the hole in the wall, located on the right side of the stairs. Walk down the corridor to the very end. When you exit into the semi-open area, turn left and pick up an Electrograna. Then jump down and go through the Electro Hurdle.

Here you will find Kazari. Chat with her to find out your next target. You will need to go to the cleft near the foot of His mountain. To do this, teleport to the Travel Notes: Grand Narukami Shrine and jump down over the wooden fence.

Start gliding down by turning slightly to the left towards the signal marker. You will see a depression in the rock. Land right there and chat with Kazari again. Then jump down into the passage where the purple glow comes from. There is a very high concentration of Electro in the cave, so regularly summon Electro Granums to avoid taking damage. During the descent, you should also pick up Electroculus.

    How to beat infectious tumors

The fight with this boss will consist of 3 stages, and within each of them you will have to solve puzzles with lanterns. New phases will begin as the enemy's health decreases.

    First phase (solving the puzzle)

Deal with the mob that looks like Ochimushi for the first lamp puzzle and its clue to appear. Put them in the order shown in the screenshot below. Then pray near the first lantern.

After that, infectious tumors will collapse to the ground, which you can finally deal damage to. Take away about 25% of their health. It is not advised to stand directly in front of the boss, as he can shoot you with a laser beam.

    Second phase (solving the puzzle)

Deal with the ghostly samurai again. You will also have to dodge the attacks of the boss himself. However, his attacks do not deal much damage. When you deal with the monster, lanterns with a hint will appear again. Put them in the same order as in the picture below. Next, pray near the first lamp.

Solving the puzzle from a different angle

Infectious tumors will fall to the ground again, and you can deal damage to them. Destroy the boss for another 25% health.

    Third phase (solving the puzzle)

When the boss rises again, two ghostly samurai will appear, with the red one being able to heal himself. Having dealt with the enemies, again take up the correct order of the lamps. The screenshot below shows the correct option. Then pray near the first lantern.

Infectious tumors will again collapse to the ground. Finish them off. Next, watch a long cut-scene and talk to Kazari.

How to get the Hakushin Ring Catalyst

After watching all the videos, be sure to select Mask of memories lying on the ground. It is the recipe for the weapon you need. To create it, you need the following materials:

    • Hakushin Ring = Northlander Catalyst Billet x1 + Amethyst Lump x50 + White Iron Chunk x50

You will also complete the quest chain in its entirety, earning 400 Adventure Points, 50 Source Stones, 5 Hero XP, and 50,000 Mora as a reward.
