How to start The Sun-Wheel and Mt. Kanna quest
It should start automatically one real day after completing the task "The Sea of Fog and the Rite of the Trees". Just open the quest log and you should see the correct mission.
You will need to return to Tsurumi Island, which is now covered in red mist. As usual, run to the stone gates. Kama will be waiting for you not far from them. Chat with him to find out what's going on here. After that, go through the gate to remove the fog from the map. However, in addition to it, red lightning will often strike you - try to dodge it.
Head to Wakukau Shoal
When you reach the right place, use the Peculiar Pinion tool near the thunderbird statue. However, before that, we advise you to deal with all the mobs in the area. The fact is that the use of the gadget will cause several hilichurls, including lavacurl. In addition, monsters walking nearby can run up to you. Dealing with two groups of enemies at once can be difficult, which is why we recommend clearing the area in advance.
When you deal with the opponents, a glowing purple feather will appear. Approach him and touch him. You will see a vision. Then the feather will fly away towards Mount Kanna.
Head to Oina Beach
Get to the desired location and use the Peculiar Pinion near the stone statue. Ruin Crushers and Ruin Guard will spawn. Deal with them. The latter, by the way, may be farther than the rest, on the water. Be sure to kill him, even if he didn't attack you.
Next, touch the second purple feather, which will also fly away. You will receive more information about what is happening.
Head to the Autake Plains
Here you will again have to worry about the fog, because of which you can get lost, so do not forget to linger near the thunder "lanterns". Get to the desired location, and then fight two gap hounds. Talk to Roo and Kama, and then use the Peculiar Pinion next to the Thunderbird.
As usual, touch the glowing feather that appears so that it flies towards the mountain, where you will also need to go.
Head to Mount Kanna
To get to the desired area, first go to the Wakukau Shoal, and then approach the foot of the mountain. There you will see a passage to the cave. Enter deep into it and deal with several opponents. Then examine the altar.
Next, you have to fight the elite boss Thunder Manifestation. Therefore, we strongly advise against taking Electro characters into your squad. After dealing with the boss, talk to Kama and Roo again, and then use the Peculiar Pinion on the statue to summon a glowing feather. Touch it and it will disappear into a huge boulder.
Head to Seirai Island
Move to this location and get to the quest marker by jumping off the coast. Watch the new cut-scene. Next, return to Mount Kanna and examine the altar again. Chat with the boy. As a result, you will unlock the trophy "Crossing Through the Mists".
Now return to Sumida and tell her everything. With You with her we go to a Restaurant and learn about her future plans. This will end the task.
