In Genshin Impact encounters with Gorou are a special kind of legend quest, where you need to give certain answers and make different decisions to unlock all possible endings. For opening these finals, valuable rewards are issued, including source stones. In this guide, we will cover all the steps that need to be taken to obtain each conclusion of the story.
How to start and complete meetings with Gorou
You won't be able to start this quest right away. First of all, you will need to make sure that you meet certain conditions:
- Have at least 40 adventure rank. We have given advice on how to increase this parameter in separate guide.
- Completed Archons main mission "Omnipresence Over Mortals" from the second Thoma.
- Completed the Sangonomiya Kokomi legends quest called "Warriors’ Dreams Like Spring Grass Renewing".
- Prepared 2 key legends. One key is issued for completing 8 daily tasks (no more than 4 can be completed per day). It is allowed to keep no more than 3 keys in the inventory, so you will not be able to save them.
If you meet all the requirements, then go to the "Legend Quests" menu and open the "Meetings" section. Next, find the desired hero and unlock the meeting with him to start the corresponding quest, which has 5 endings.
We will not retell in detail all the events that take place during this mission, so as not to spoil your impressions when playing on your own, but only tell you about the main forks in which actions affect the endings you get. You will also learn where you can find the items and characters you need.
By the way, it is not necessary to start the meeting from scratch to unlock all the finals, because in the Meeting: Gorou menu you can easily select any fork, instantly transfer to it and take a different path. In addition, after the release of update 2.2, the game began to mark the options you previously selected.
Note: Pay attention to the scale of relations with Gorou, which is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen in the form of white hearts. Its size does not affect the unlockable endings, however, if it goes down completely, the encounter will end immediately, forcing you to replay it from the previous fork. This strip may fall with rude behavior and choosing the wrong answers.
Act I "The Canine General’s Special Operations"
After unlocking the desired meeting, you will begin completing its first chapter. You will need to visit the location shown on the map to meet Gorou. You will find it in the city of Inazuma. He will talk to Yae Miko.
Ending 1: Tactical retreat

Gorou Encounter Rewards
For unlocking each next ending, you will receive a certain reward. Below is a list of items that you will be given for completing all missions:
- Unlock 1 Encounter Memory: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 3 Guide to Light.
- Unlock 2 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 5 Hero XP, and 3 Prithiv Topaz Fragments.
- Unlock 3 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 5 Victorious Legend Meals.
- Unlock 4 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 5 Hero XP, and 3 Prithiv Topaz Fragments.
- Unlock 5 Encounter Memories: 100 Adventure Points, 20 Source Stones, and 3 Light Directions.
In addition, for opening all the branches, you will open the achievement "General of Watatsumi", thereby obtaining another 20 source stones. There are also two additional trophies that we talked about above - they give an additional 10 primogems.
