In Genshin Impact The Phaethons’ Syrtos is Encanomia world quest, in which you will need to lay the pearls of Sango on seven royal tombs and get the Golden Bridle. If you're having trouble picking up and completing this quest, check out our guide.
How to start The Phaethons’ Syrtos quest
First of all, you will, of course, need to get to Enkanomiya, and then complete a rather lengthy task there "The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent". After that, change the time of day in the region to Eternal Night, teleport to the Temple of Eternal Night and reach the barrier below (shown in the screenshots below).
How to remove the Hurdle in the Temple of Eternal Night
To do this, you will need to bring two fairies to the houses near the force field. The pictures below show the location of the spirits. Approach them so that they start flying towards their pedestals.
As soon as they are near the barrier, it will immediately disappear, and you can go inside. There you can find a rich chest and a ghost, whose name is Klymene. Talk to her to finally take the right mission.
Lay the Sango Pearl on the Royal Tombs
Next, you will need to find 7 royal tombs (they look like ordinary tombstones) and put one on them the pearl of Sango. Their location will be indicated on the map, but we will show you exactly where they are just in case.
Get ready to fight dangerous enemies near these objects as well. We are talking about Electro Readers of the Abyss and Hydro Mages of the Abyss. Therefore, we advise you to definitely take a powerful Cryo damageer to your team.
Royal Tomb 1
On the left side of the Gorge. Just glide down from the nearest high ground teleporter.
Royal Tomb 2
On the right side of the Gorge. Not far from the tombstone, Hilichurls and Hydro Abyss Mage will run. We advise you to deal with the magician first.
Royal Tomb 3
In the south of Dainichi Mikosi, near the edge of the island. Teleport to the far right fast travel point and glide down. Near the tombstone there will be several hilichurls, a mitachurl and an Electro Abyss Mage. You will have to defeat them all.
Royal Tomb 4
On the left side of the Heart is a snake. He will be guarded by a single Electroreader of the Abyss. Don't forget to examine the precious chest nearby.

Royal Tomb 6
South of the Temple of Eternal Night. Glide down from the fast travel point. The tombstone is next to the White and Eternal Night mechanism.
Royal Tomb 7
In the north of the Temple of Eternal Night. Just glide down from the northern teleport point. Interact with the tombstone to place the pearl.
After placing the pearls, return to Klymene and chat with her again. Next, you will need to go to the Spirit Calling Place. To do this, go along the luminous path that appears right in the air. Then watch a short cut-scene. Chat with the ghost again.
Get the Golden Bridle
You will need to find a new item. In fact, we are talking about the Divine Bridle, which is issued for the completion of the quest line called "Hyperion’s Dirge". Therefore, complete this mission, and then talk to Klymene again and give her this little thing.
Next, place the Divine Bridle in the water, not far from the ghost. Watch the new cutscene and talk to Klymene again to complete this quest. You will receive 250 Adventure Points, 30 Source Stones, 3 Hero XP, and 30,000 Pestilence. Note that the platform took off ghosts of Phaetons. You can find these kids and talk to them to unlock a secret trophy.
