How to start a task

The first step is to complete the questline. "The Chasm Delvers" to open the main part of the underground mines map. Next, you will need to get to the location Underground Waterway. You can get there from the southern teleport of the Main Mining Zone. The entire route is shown on the map below.

After moving to the teleporter, turn around and go through the hole ahead. Once inside, run forward a little and then turn right. Go past the fatui camp, reach the cliff and jump down. As a result, you will find yourself in Groundwater.

After going down, get to the rocks on the opposite side. The exact location is shown on the map with the route. There you will find a hollow tree. Enter it and go forward a little. There will be a table with working tools. Examine them.

Gather "Mushroom Meat" and Defeat the Molds

Head to the marked area and start collecting star mushrooms (they will be highlighted so you can easily find them). As soon as you pick all the mushrooms, molds will attack you.

These are quite living opponents who can shoot bubbles. The battle will take place near a body of water, so we advise you to use Cryo abilities to freeze enemies. After dealing with the monsters, chat with the former miner again.
