Major, witch and old warehouse in Atomic Heart: how to find Clara's left leg

In Atomic Heart, The Major, the Witch and the Old Warehouse is the main quest in which you have to find Clara's left leg. To do this, you will have to solve several riddles with valves and moving platforms in VDNKh. If you're having trouble completing these tasks, check out our guide.

Passage of the task "The Major, the Witch and the Old Warehouse"

First of all, you will need to find Clara on the lowest floor of the Exhibition as part of the "Made in the USSR" mission. The body of the robot lies near the red seats. When you inspect the android, the large-scale quest "Mustached Carl stole coral from Clara!" will begin.

Next, you will need to go through the door on the opposite side of the lower level. Having done this, you will immediately begin the quest to find Clara's left leg. Start going down the stairs.

How to get to technical rooms

Once at the bottom, go forward, and then turn right. If you enter the room on the right before that, then look for a couple of black chests there, in which blueprints and cassette.

Once in the next spacious room, deal with flying drones and go to the left passage. Move forward along the corridor and break the piston lock on the door on the right by playing the mini-game with the colored dots.

How to Find Clara's Leg (Valve Puzzle)

Go down the narrow corridor to the red valve and rotate it 3 times so that there are 3 empty dots on the top of the valve and a platform with a passage appears ahead. Before moving on, check out the break room on the right for a save and weapon upgrade.

After going down, deal with the android on the right and turn left. Run forward until you find yourself in a spacious room with another puzzle.

How to get further (puzzle with two gates and platforms)

First of all, clear the room of androids, as they will interfere with your solving the puzzle. One of the robots will use a polymer shield - it can be pierced with a shotgun at close range. After dealing with the opponents, go to the red valve in the first hall and turn it 3 times so that a platform with a second valve appears, as shown in the screenshot below.

Go to the platform that appears and turn the second steering wheel 3 times so that a decoration with office boxes and employee robots appears behind the glass. Now go back to the first valve and rotate it 3 times again to create a platform with a through passage. Now you can go to the area with the lockers - climb them to the metal stairs and enter the passage on the right.

Keep looking for the leg (second puzzle with two valves)

Climb up the stairs, dealing with the white androids along the way, and turn right to the next red valve in the center of the room. You will need to turn it exactly 2 times, but before that you will have to deal with four more robots. We advise you to use Shock and a pumped shotgun with an electric cassette.

When the platform with the training room appears, go to its left side and drop down into the hole on the floor. Land on a cage with a golden pig inside, and from it you can fall to the very bottom of the room (you will take minor damage, but you can die with low health, so we advise you to heal first).

At the bottom you will find a second valve, which will need to be twisted twice so that red and blue ledges appear in front, along which you can climb up. Climbing up, you can get to the other side of the grate, where the third valve is located.

Approach this steering wheel and spin it once. As a result, you will see an open passage ahead, where you need to get. Take a few steps forward, turn left, climb the yellow pipe, and from it jump to the required ledge.

Enter the corridor, turn left to find a chest with materials, and then go up the stairs to the top.

How to find a foot among things

You will find yourself in another spacious room with trucks, tanks and loaders. Approach the wrecked car on the opposite side of the room and take Clara's left leg from its trunk.

Note: In this room, two robots on wheels can attack you (due to a bug, the attack sometimes does not occur). We advise you to immediately climb onto the boxes on the left so that the enemies cannot reach you, and then fire at them from a safe distance.

After picking up the leg, go into the passage to the right of the car and go up the stairs. Then break the piston lock by playing the rabbit mini-game. Walk forward and install the found limb into the robot.
