Bird in hand Hogwarts Legacy - the penultimate task in quest chain from Poppy Dobring, Hufflepuff's student. You can contribute to the good cause of protecting outlandish creatures by taking the valuable contents of several chests along the way. In this article, we will tell you how to start and complete this quest, collecting the maximum rewards, solve the Moonlight Mystery, find the Snidgets, get the Creature Lover achievement, and finally make friends with Poppy.
Passage of the quest "Bird in the hands"
How to start a task
Since Bird in Hands is not the first mission in a series of consecutive events, certain prerequisites will need to be met before it can begin:
- Complete the previous quest "It was foretold by the stars";
- Get the recommended level - 27;
- Possess the skill of ice spells "Glacius".
Check the quest log, and if this mission is available to you, you can proceed. For convenience, you can immediately select a quest to track and go to Brockburrow, south of which Poppy will be waiting for you. Next, we will step by step consider the passage of the order.
Talk to Dorran
This half-man, half-horse is located inside the fortifications, the gates of which are located directly behind Poppy. Just run ahead and you'll find it easily. He will tell about the protective columns that block the further path.
Figure out how to get inside the ruins
To go further, you must solve the riddle of moonlight, as the gate is sealed. Note that as soon as you run through the center of the circle with columns, they will begin to cast light, and the symbols of the sun and key will light up above the archway of the passage. The same symbols are among the runes inscribed near the central altar.
The stones in the circle move each along their own inner or outer guide. You can move them using the Accio enchantment. Purpose: to place them in such a way that the light falls on the same runes that are shown above the entrance.
You can try to move the monuments yourself, sometimes stepping back and looking from the perspective of where the moonlight falls. You can also use our screenshots - this position of the columns relative to other runes will open the gate.
Find snidgets (and chests)
Now go to the opened archway and enter the dungeon. First, let's dwell a little more on collecting treasures so that you don't miss them. The first chest is waiting for you in the office directly opposite the entrance. Use "Revelio" regularly, especially if you can't immediately notice an object available for interaction.
Then go along the wide corridor to the illuminated part of the room. To climb up, use the Accio enchantment on the indicated box, and then the Levioso enchantment to hang it and climb it up. On the far side of the balcony, you'll find a chest with a Ruined Stairs layout for your Help Room.
Get down and go to the picturesque passage of intertwined roots. To the left behind it you will find a passage littered with cobblestones. It can be cleared, for example, with the repulsive charm "Depulso".
Pass through the opened passage, highlighting your way with the help of "Lumos", then light the fading brazier with fire spells and climb higher. Here, in the secret room, you will find a chest with an item of equipment.
Having got out of this nook back to the light, you need to somehow continue your journey through the dungeon. Clear the thistle thickets and go into the next room. In it you will see two platforms on which elemental cubes are usually placed.
First, climb onto the balcony, to which the box is attached, there you can profit from a bag of gold coins. Then move the box to the opposite gallery, it contains one of the cubes for the puzzle and some more coins. The second piece of the puzzle is hidden behind the branches of a tree near the first balcony.
On the cubes and platforms there is an image of the runes of ice and fire, you need to place them respectively on top of each other. Then use a spell of the appropriate element, such as "Glacius" for an ice block, and "Incendio" for a fire block.
After these actions, the doors to a spacious arena will open, where the battle with poachers will immediately begin. Enemies will attack in waves, fortunately, centaurs will soon arrive to help.
Open the doors to the Snidget hideout
After the fight, all that remains is to talk to Poppy and Dorran and proceed to the last room, where you will find what you are looking for - Snidget eggs. This will end the quest and you will only get the standard amount of experience points (but don't forget there are a few chests along the way!).
How to get the Creature Lover achievement
After completing the quest in question, you will receive the next small quest - "The Blossom of Friendship with Poppy". The girl will be waiting by the fireplace in the great hall of the castle and all you have to do is talk to her. After the dialogue, the entire chain of relationships with Poppy will be completed and the achievement "Creature Lover" will be counted.
