In Honkai: Star Rail, Roads to the Past Have Long Been Closed is a exploration mission and part of the chain "Under the scorching dawn sun", during which you have to fight and defeat Kokoliya, the Mother of Deception. In this guide, we will tell you in detail how to destroy this boss.

How to start a task

Find traces of Armor and Kokoliya
Move forward on the only path. Climb up to the support anchor, which will restore the health of your characters. Climbing up to the platform with stellaron, you will see a new cutscene with Armor and Kokoliya.
After completing the cutscene, you will need to fight three waves of level 38 opponents. Their vulnerabilities are shown in the screenshots below. They shouldn't cause you much trouble. Note that the giant robot will occasionally carry out area attacks. You can neutralize his blows with Natasha's (Baile) ult.

How to Defeat Kokoliya, the Mother of Deception

Natasha must be present in the budget pack, which will be able to heal both selected allies and all members of the squad at a time.
Save Natasha's ult in case you still get hit by a powerful attack in Kokoliya's area. Thus, you will be able to quickly return most of the health to all members of your group.
At some point, the Mother of Deception will summon two huge Spears of Eternal Freeze to aid her in battle. They are capable of dealing a lot of damage in an area, so we advise you to destroy them as quickly as possible. To do this, use the attack "The Wrath of Creation Preservation".
As part of the second phase of the battle, Kokoliya will begin to charge her special AoE attack "Creation Prelude". You can interrupt her training by destroying the boss's stamina. To do this, use a combination of fire attacks and Wrath of Creation.
After dealing with the boss, watch a long cutscene. When it is completed, the mission will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 1200 exploration experience, 5 traveler's guides, 4 purified aether and 2 abyssal exoplasm. You will also have access to the next quest in the Dangerous Swamp chain.
