In Honkai: Star Rail The brave dragon in the boundless ocean is development mission Lofu Xianzhou and part of the chain "Hyperion Tower", during which you have to remove the Vidyadhara seals by solving flashlight puzzles and defeat Fantilia the Undying. If you're having trouble getting and completing this quest, check out our guide.

Passage of the quest "Brave dragon in the boundless ocean"

    How to start a task

Before you can take on this quest, you have to meet a couple of conditions, namely:

When you deal with the requirements noted above, the desired mission should automatically appear in your journal.

Enter the ancient ruins of vidyadhara

Head down the stairs to the quest marker and listen for the echo. You will learn about the three seals that held back the Ambrosia Tree.

    Remove the three vidyadhara seals

You will need to find three seals located at different points in the location. First, go down and activate the spatial anchor. Then turn left to the first seal.

    First Seal (flaming lanterns puzzle)

To solve this puzzle, you just need to activate the flashlights in a certain sequence. You can find out the correct order by the number of blue runes near the lights. Just in case, we have shown the correct option in the screenshot below.

If you do everything right, you will remove the first seal. Run further, dealing with opponents on your way or simply passing by them.

    The Second Seal (Lantern Puzzle)

After crossing the bridge and reaching the fork, turn left. Before that, you can listen to another echo at the cliff. After going down the stairs, go along the root of the tree into a dilapidated building. Before that, you will have to fight with a group of enemies.

Here you will again need to solve the flashlight puzzle. To determine the correct sequence, you will have to study the drawings on the walls, correctly determining the chronology of the story depicted on them. If you are too lazy to do this, then just view the finished version in the picture below.

    The Third Seal (Lantern Puzzle)

Return to the fork and now turn right, and then go up the stairs and get to the space anchor. Keep running straight, going down the stairs to the area with the seal. Here you will encounter an elite enemy - the Mighty Primate.

This enemy is vulnerable to fire, ice and wind damage. With the help of his skills, he can strengthen himself, so the sooner you deal with him, the better. You can lure him using skills, that is, it is advisable to use the skill with a shield / tank before the move of this enemy.

After dealing with the opponents, study the revelation tile, which shows the sequence in which you need to activate the flashlights. Again, we have shown the finished solution in the screenshot below.

Enter the roots of the Ambrosia Tree

After removing all the seals, move to the Depths of the Palace Ruins teleporter and start going down the slope to the quest marker. It is not necessary to fight the monsters you meet on the way.

After going downstairs, talk to your friends again, and then approach the dragon and go to the "Roots of the Ambrosia Tree" area to start the corresponding challenge.

How to defeat Fantilia the Undying

The peculiarity of this "dungeon" is the condition under which the battle ends with a loss if Jing Yuan dies, so you will definitely need to heal him or put shields on him. You will have to fight with Fantilia, who is vulnerable to electrical, wind and imaginary damage.

Let's add that the boss will call for lotuses that impose extremely unpleasant weakenings on the characters. For this reason, we advise you to take a hero that can remove negative effects from allies. The table below shows the teams that will be perfect for the upcoming battle.

After the test begins, run forward to the large flower. Then watch a cutscene in which Fantilia the Undying will appear. You are waiting for the battle with this boss. Note that this version is slightly weaker than the one you will encounter in Echoes of War.

    First phase

The boss has resistance to Freeze and Bind, and is also able to summon Lotus of Opulence, which heals itself and reduces the skill points of your heroes. Flowers are vulnerable to wind and imaginary damage. Thus, we advise you to attack the main body with Jing Yuan, and the rest of the characters to destroy the lotuses as quickly as possible.

Fantilia is capable of dealing damage to both single and multiple targets, so don't forget to heal your characters or cast an AoE shield on them. Destroying lotuses, by the way, restores lost skill points. Some enemy strikes bind characters, delaying their action.

    Second phase

The boss starts dealing electrical damage to your characters and summoning Lotuses of Destruction, which can inflict the Prana Drain status on the target, lowering their maximum health. To remove the debuff, use the appropriate skills of your supports, for example, Natasha's skill or March 7.

Fortunately, in the second stage, you will be able to accumulate energy to summon the Eater of the Moon, which can deal massive damage to all targets at once and bind some of them. Don't forget to call him by clicking on the dragon icon or the "R" key.

Note that the lotuses in this phase have much more health, so we recommend that you finish Fantilia as soon as possible and not waste time destroying the flowers (or use area attacks against enemies). Just remember to remove debuffs from your characters.

    Third phase

Now the boss will begin to deal imaginary damage, as well as summon lotuses of destruction and abundance. You can still ignore the first ones, but the flowers of abundance are best destroyed as quickly as possible.

Fantilia will also use a special attack that binds one of your heroes and deals massive damage to them. After that, the boss can perform a couple of area attacks, which will most likely lead to the death of the associated fighter if he was not at full health. Therefore, try to heal all the characters in time.

However, priority should still be given to Jing Yuan, since if he dies, the battle will automatically end in failure. When the enemy has 1% health left, he will grab the general and deal massive damage to him - don't be afraid, as this is part of the plot.

Check out the exciting new video below. When it comes to an end, you will complete the quest and unlock the Wood to Chip achievement. You will also receive a reward: 600 development experience, 150,000 credits, save shadow x1, 60 star jade, musical compositions and pumping materials.
