In Honkai: Star Rail The Oro, Ace Gambler is a special erudroid who is associated with one of the hidden quests on Penaconia and allows you to unlock secret achievement “Every player has his own excuse.” In this guide, we will tell you where to find this character, whether it is worth helping him, and what you will receive as a reward.
Walkthrough of the quest “Oro, Ace Gambler” in Honkai: Star Rail
How to start a task
First of all, complete the quest line "The Sound and the Fury". Next, warp to the Sweet Corner anchor on the 2nd floor of Golden Moment and head northwest to the Dream Slots. Near one of them you will find Oro. Before you talk to him, make sure you have at least one Aiden's token in inventory.
So, approach the crowd of onlookers and select the option "Listen"
. Erudroid will choose us to test the device and prove that he didn't cheat when he played. This is where a new task will begin.
Play your dream slot
After completing the conversation, go to the slot machine and play it once, spending one token. Then exit the slot machine menu and chat with Oro again. You can choose any answers, as they will not affect anything. The God of Gamble will thank you and then leave to collect your winnings.
Where to find Oro
Now you will need to find your iron friend again. To do this, move to the stagnant Shape of Roast shadow located on the Dream Boundary, and then turn the camera to the left, and you will immediately see the wounded God of Gamble ahead. Approach him and enter into dialogue.
You learn that someone broke his arm so that he could not participate in the Family's deadly game. He will ask you for help - you need to hide the parts that fell out of his body. Here you will find a fork in the road, on which the ending of the quest and your reward will depend (it will not change much). Please note that in any case you will be able to open the achievement and “No signal” sticker. Next we will look at both endings.
Option 1: Help Oro
Select answer "I will help". After the conversation, you will receive the "Unnecessary Part of the God of Thrill", which can be found in your inventory. Oro will note that you can sell it to Ferdinand if you wish.
Now teleport to the Sweet Corner again and go to the dream slot where you first met Oro. Listen to the conversation between the erudroid and the Family members. The God of Gamble will manage to win again. Then he will talk to you and also give you 3 thousand credits and condensed ether x2.
Next, move to the Oti Shopping Center teleport, turn left and run to Ferdinand, standing near the stairs. Talk to him and ask him a question: “Are you familiar with the God of Thrill?”
. Give him the detail. You will find out that Oro still cheated when playing gachapon. However, he does not know where he went after the victory, and whether he is even alive, since the Family does not forgive such things.
After the conversation, you will receive the classic “Delight x1” and the Valuable Part of the God of Thrill (it will remain in your inventory in the “Missions” section; perhaps it’s just a souvenir). Plus, you will unlock a trophy and a sticker.
Option 2: Don't help Oro
To do this, select an answer "Sorry but no. Don't drag me into this". God of Gamble will be upset by our answer, but he will not try to persuade us to change our minds. Now move to Aiden Park and approach the dream slots, near which a crowd has gathered. Listen to the conversation between the erudroid and the Family members.
Unfortunately, the God of Gamble will lose, but will still give you a reward after a conversation in the amount of 3 thousand credits and two lost gold particles. Then find Ferdinand near the Oti Shopping Center and ask him the question: “What is this fragment?”
. He will tell you that this item belonged to Oro, who recently went missing somewhere.
After the conversation, you will receive Rusty Gears x4, Old Molars x5, as well as the sticker and trophy that we talked about just above.
