In Honkai: Star Rail A Thousand Bells at Dawn is Development mission and part of the quest chain "Farewell Penaconia". In it you have to find bombs using Twilight's Wonderful Treasure Map. Walkthrough of the mission “A Thousand Bells at Dawn” in Honkai: Star Rail
How to start a task
This quest starts automatically after completing the last mission of the chain called "Soldier's Award". After watching the cutscene with Firefly and Jasper, you will again take control of the Pathfinder. You will need to take part in the opening ceremony of the Harmony Festival.
How to talk to all guests
Before you take your seat, you can find five of your old friends on the ship to chat with them and listen to unique dialogue. Please note that this task is optional, so if you skip it, it will not affect the ending and rewards of the quest.
Boothill and Aventurine
Move to the "Control Cabin" anchor on the 1st floor of the ship, and then go downstairs, and you will see Boothill standing near the bar counter, standing near a hologram of Aventurine. Listen to their conversation. Then you can ask them any questions - this does not affect anything.
Dr. Ratio
Go to the next room, located a little to the south. There you will find Doctor Ratio. Chat with him and find out exactly what he was doing in Penaconia.
Topaz
Continue south and go down into the large hall. You will see Topaz and the Accountant near the table. Approach them and talk about work.
Jade
Then enter the room on the right side and you will see the owner of the pawn shop standing near the shell. Enter into a dialogue with her.
This is our first time meeting in person, so Jade will ask us how she should address us. We can choose one of three answers:
- My name is “Hero’s Name” - we will say our real name. Jade will only indicate its uniqueness.
- My name is March 7th - Jade will agree to address us as March 7th, which will look rather awkward.
- My name is... Sunday - Jade will say that the name is not bad, but it lacks virtue.
After that, she will ask what we want and how we are willing to pay. Again there will be three answer options to choose from. You can choose any option, since Jade, in any case, will supposedly take our words seriously, and then ask you to give her the animal’s tail in exchange. Judging by the description, we are talking about Pom-Pom. Apparently Jasper still has a sense of humor. At the end she will say our real name.
Argenti
Approach the elevator and go down to the deck on the 1st floor. Turn right and approach Argenti, standing near the side of the ship. Talk to him for a bit to complete the optional task.
Wait for the ceremony to begin
After talking with Argenti, go up the steps and sit on the free lounge chair. Suddenly a Firefly will appear. You can choose any answers when talking with her, as this will not affect the rewards or the ending of the quest, but will only slightly change the dialogue. Soon the Hounds will appear and set off in pursuit of the Firefly. She will run away, promising to contact us later.
Return to the lounge chair and read the message from your friend. The girl will say that she was able to escape from the guards. Start watching a new cutscene.
How to Find Bombs Using Twilight's Wonderful Treasure Map
During the ceremony, Robin will announce that the ship Radiantspar is now owned by the Starlight Express. Then Sparkle will appear and report that there are explosives on the ship. She will soon all explode. However, you will receive from her a map with 5 bombs marked on it. It will be necessary to find them.
Bomb 1
Run to the bar opposite the pool, on the left side, and approach the Sparkle toy. Interact with her. Choose any answers, since the bomb is still not real.
Bomb 2
Now walk a little back towards the pool and move to the starboard side of the ship on the same 1st floor. You will see another Sparkle doll on the fence. You can play a staring contest with her or immediately try to neutralize her - in any case, it’s just a dummy.
Bomb 3
Next, enter the main hall on the first floor of the ship. You will see a doll sitting on one of the far sofas, next to an ordinary chest. She will want to investigate several cases with you. You will need to tell her the main evidence - choose any answer, since the doll is still a dummy.
Bomb 4
Go to the northern part of the ship, where Jade was previously negotiating with Oti. You will see a doll standing on the table. She'll want you to tell her the actor's last line. You can choose any option, since this figure is again not a bomb.
Bomb 5
Continue north. Climb the stairs to the control cabin. You will see a doll sitting right on the ship's control panel. Interact with her. You can wait for the “explosion” or ask the figure to speed up the process. Once again the bomb turns out to be fake.
How to find the thousandth bomb
After a short conversation with Twilight and your friends on the phone, move to the "Aft Pool" on the first floor and approach the quest marker. There you will meet Firefly. The girl will transform into Sam and throw away the doll, which turns out to be an ordinary firework. Then watch the colorful video.
This task will come to an end, and the next one will begin - “Stranger in a strange city.” You will unlock the “Ship of Fools” achievement. You will also receive a new reward: 300 Mastery Points, 100 Star Jades, 125 thousand Credits, 400 Hour Credits, 8 Traveler's Guides and 8 Lost Crystals.
