IN Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Tour de Inferno is the fourth chapter of the main storyline, in which you will have to help the biker gang "Sons of Calidon" win a special race for the title of Chieftain and control over the oil rigs of the Bypass. To do this, you will need to complete several combat and research orders. In this guide, we will tell you how to start and complete this mission.
Walkthrough of the fourth chapter "Tour de Inferno" in ZZZ
How to start a task
Before you can take on this story quest, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least 34th Internet level.
- Complete a special edition of the main line called "Undercover Rat".
If you completed the specified episode before the release of patch 1.2, then you will most likely have the quest active "Echoes of the Sideshow" , during which you will first need to talk to your sister/brother at the video rental store. During this conversation, you will learn that the Shepherd wants to meet us and tell us something.
Tell me that "ready" and after that, a conversation with your informant will immediately begin. He will tell you about the Bypass and the bikers living there. Then watch a short comic, in which you will learn about the fate of Perlman. Now you finally have the fourth chapter starting "Inferno Cross" . Start tracking it in a diary.
Meet Billy
Exit to Sixth Street and head to the alley behind Inspector Meowchelo to find Billy standing next to a truck and a Red Mockus banbu. He will tell you about the Sons of Calidon gang and ask you to go with him to the Bypass. After a short conversation with him, return to your sister/brother and tell her everything.
Next, say that "ready" to continue the quest. Talk to Billy again and go with him to the Bypass. Watch another comic in which you and your partner get into a cavern because of a strange driver who tried to ram you. A combat order will begin.
The drowning man's salvation is his own doing
Unfortunately, you will have to play as a trial Billy, who is definitely not in the group of the strongest characters. Plus, he has rather mediocre health and defense indicators, so beware of enemy attacks. You will have to activate 2 probes. To do this, you need to drive away the etherials from them.
Billy is a ranged fighter, so try to stay away from monsters and attack them from afar. Your bullets can slightly push enemies away, so you can use your shots to keep them outside the blue circle. These mobs can also shoot, so if you see a red halo near them, dodge immediately.
You will also be periodically attacked by small etherials that will start to pounce on your character and then immediately explode. So do not try to attack them - it is better to just dodge and wait until they self-destruct. After dealing with all the enemies or filling the gauge to 100%, go to the second probe.
Here you will encounter more dangerous melee enemies. Again, try not to get too close to them, attack from afar. Don't forget to use special attacks (E) and super ability (Q). Go to the next point and simply defeat the group of enemies. Then watch the cutscene with the appearance of Caesar and Lightyear.
Your team will be joined by Caesar (Defense: Physical), who can cast a strong shield on the active character, give him an attack power boost, and effectively stun enemies. You can read more about her in our in a separate guide. We advise you to use her when fighting an elite enemy, because even though she is considered a support, she can still cause considerable damage.
Next, listen to a conversation between old acquaintances, which will lead to the completion of the order. If you can complete all the tasks, you will receive an "S" rating and the maximum reward, including 60 polychromes.
Talk to Billy and greet the headman
Watch the new funny video with the "funeral" of the main character. Then talk to Caesar and Lucy. In the end, you will be given a room in Blazewood. The next morning, go to Billy and talk to him and Caesar.
Next, go to the lift on the other side of the city and go down. Once down, open mini truck on the right, and then chat with Caesar and Kasa, the village elder. Go upstairs again and engage in dialogue with Lucy. Choose any answers, as they will only slightly change the heroines' phrases.
Then talk to your sister/brother and say that you are "ready". As a result, you will be given two combat orders at once: "Unexpected Test" and "First Customer". You will need to complete both tasks.
Combat Order "Unexpected Test"
Interact with the HDD system that will be installed in your minivan, then go to the "Main Line" of Chapter 4 and select the appropriate mission. The game will advise you to take physical and fire characters, as most enemies in this mission are vulnerable to the corresponding elements.
However, you won't have much choice, as you can use two trial characters at once: Caesar and Lucy. Both can act as support and sub-DD, so we advise you to take some main damage dealer with them, for example, Jane, Soldier 11, Corin or Billy. We do not recommend taking ice damage dealers, as the boss in this quest has resistance to this element.
After the mission starts, watch the video, then run to the probe and fill its gauge to 100% by dealing with all the monsters or driving them away from the blue zone. Don't forget to open mini truck on the side of the lighthouse.
Next, deal with the explosive spiders and go down to the second probe. Fill its gauge to 100%. Once you do this, go up and open another one. chest on the right side. Continue running forward to the quest marker and activate the third beacon. Be careful, as you will have to fight a Psychopath here.
You will notice that one of the probes will be stolen by bandits. Go back and examine the messy tracks. Then turn the camera to the left and go to the marker pointing to the junk near the red barrels. Then start climbing up and enter the portal. Continue forward to the marker and open mini truck on the right, and then go down into the empty pool and deal with a group of bandits.
How to defeat Bellum
Once you've done that, go upstairs and head to the next group of bikers. Watch the funny cutscene, then engage in combat with Bellum. This is a mini-boss of sorts, with an increased health bar. His normal attacks (orange halo) are fairly easy to dodge, after which it's recommended to immediately counterattack.
Be sure to always shield your active character with Caesar. Sometimes Bellum will raise his shield - if you attack him in this state, he will immediately counterattack, so be careful and do not hit the boss until he lowers his weapon.
When Bellum's health drops to about 30%, he will start hitting you even more often and faster, performing several consecutive attacks at once. However, Caesar's barrier should protect you from damage. In general, this fight should not cause you any problems if you take a well-pumped physical or fire damage dealer. After dealing with the boss, watch the new video, and this will be the end of the mission.
Combat order "First buyer"
Start completing the second task. The game will advise you to take physical and/or fire heroes again. However, here the recommendations are no longer important, since you will get a full set of characters in any case: Caesar, Bernice and Lucy. It is better to give the role of the main damage dealer to Bernice, and Caesar and Lucy will be her support.
When you start the mission, run forward and deal with a group of Ethereals. Then, destroy the barriers ahead and run past the lasers to the right, destroying the boxes and opening a path down. Follow the trail of Shetterlings and fight two robots. Then, break the containers with health and energy on the right. Don't forget to open the mini truck left.
Head back and run upstairs. You'll fight another group of Ethereals. Then head downstairs and break the box on the left to reveal another mini truck . Next, approach the cunning old man. You will learn that someone pretended to be the "Sons of Calydon" and bought all the parts. Enter the portal.
Run forward, trying not to touch the flammable canisters. Then deal with the next group of monsters and open a new chest . Climb up the stairs and deal with new enemies. At the end you will have to fight an elite enemy, the Furious Adversary, so be careful.
Next, go down, break the canisters with health and energy and turn into a dead end on the right to open another mini truck . Continue following the quest marker and approach Piper. Watch a new cutscene, after which a mini-boss battle will begin.
How to defeat Pulchra
This enemy tries to stay away from your characters, so try to close the distance with her as quickly as possible to avoid damage. She will often use her gadgets and throw bombs, so watch the circles on the ground to avoid damage.
When her health drops to about 25-30%, she will drink an elixir and start dodging almost all of your melee attacks. Wait until this condition wears off, and then try to stun the enemy to deal tons of damage with impunity.
After defeating the kitty, talk to her again. This will complete the task. If you fulfill all the conditions, you will receive an "S" rating and the maximum reward, which includes 70 polychromes.
Meet Lucy secretly
Go to the alley, open the mini-truck on the left and talk to Lucy. She will tell you about a spy in the city, who is passing information about the Sons of Calidon to another biker gang. You can choose any answers, as they will only slightly change the dialogues. Then tell everything to your sister/brother, who will be waiting for you downstairs.
After the conversation, go to your temporary home and wait until the next day. In the morning, get up and chat with your sister/brother again. Then read the message from Lucy and meet her in the same alley as before. Piper will be here too. If you choose the first answer "No, just walking" , then she will praise you. After talking to the girls, access to the combat test "End of betrayal?" will open.
Combat Order "End of Betrayal?"
Interact with the HDD system in the minivan, and then find the appropriate mission. The game will advise you to take physical and/or fire characters. Fortunately, you will already be given two trial heroines: Lucy and Piper, so all that remains is to choose their main damage dealer. You can take Soldier 11, Jane, Corinne or Billy. We do not recommend taking ice or electric fighters, since the elite enemies you will encounter in this mission have resistance to these elements.
After the mission starts, run forward and on the left you will immediately see 1st mini truck . Continue forward and deal with several Ethereals. Then climb up, avoiding traps and spiders. Once on the elevator, deal with all the enemies until you reach the top.
At the top, go to the quest marker, deal with another group of monsters and approach the half-destroyed fence. You will understand that the elder went even higher. Return to the elevator and defeat the Crazy Psycho. Let us remind you that he is resistant to electric attacks.
After dealing with the enemy, go to the warehouse and a little ahead of Banbu on the left you will see 2nd mini truck . Then talk to the "rabbit" to find out where its owner went. You can inspect all 3 places or go straight to the boxes in the far left corner to open the portal. Before entering the crack, go to the room ahead and open it there. 3rd chest .
How to defeat Morse
After entering the portal, deal with a few more Ethereals. Go down and watch the cutscene. Next, a battle with a mini-boss will begin. He can use both melee and ranged attacks, so there is no point in moving away from him. Fortunately, most of his attacks can be easily dodged - the main thing is to watch for the appearance of orange and red halos.
When you get the boss's health down to about 30%, he will start using new ranged attacks and will quickly move around the arena, shooting at your character from a blind spot. At these moments, you will have to dodge more often or use a shield.
After dealing with the enemy, watch a new cutscene in which you will meet Pompey, the leader of another biker gang and the current Chieftain. When the cutscene ends, the order will be completed.
Give Caesar a tour of New Eris
Chat with Lucy and your sister/brother. Then sleep in the dwelling for a while, and in the morning go upstairs and go with Caesar to New Eris, to your video rental. Then ask her to walk around the city. She will agree. Go to the parking lot and go to Lumina Square.
Next, choose a movie to watch in the cinema – you will have to choose between a horror "Attack of the Cyborg Zombies" and a romantic comedy "Stay for a cup of coffee" . Your choice will not affect the ending or rewards, but will only change the dialogue, but we found the second option cuter.
After watching the movie, treat Caesar to milk tea by talking to Coco. Suddenly, you will see the police chasing a criminal and Caesar will decide to help them, which will cause him to lose sight of you. Next, you will take control of the young head of the Sons of Calidon. Return to the tea shop and talk to Coco again. Finally, return to the parking lot where you will find Weisz/Belle.
Combat order "Birth of a hero under the roar of the engine"
Return to the Bypass and look at the new comic. Then talk to your sister/brother to get a new order. Interact with the HDD system and find the corresponding mission. The game will advise you to take physical and/or fire characters. You will get trial Caesar and Lucy, so you will only have to choose one hero.
You can take any pumped up damage dealer except Electro, since the main boss has resistance to this attribute. The best choice would be some fire fighter, for example, Soldier 11. However, free Corin (a more interesting option) or Billy will do.
Watch the new comic, after which a race will start where you will race a bike, playing as Caesar. During the ride, you can get achievements "Legend of Speed on the Bypass" And "Perfect Drift" To do this, you will need to complete the track in 150 seconds and encounter no more than 5 obstacles accordingly.
To destroy barrels, boxes and grates use LMB, and to drive under obstacles (fire, rocks and buildings) press RMB. Don't forget to pick up cubes and drive on high-speed ramps to gain speed faster and get to the finish line sooner.
Then there will be a huge explosion on the track, and you will find yourself far from the main group. Run forward and deal with the first pack of enemies. Then open 1st mini truck , standing near the gas station. Continue following the quest marker and watch the cutscene with Lucy and Lightyear.
After talking to your friends, turn the camera to the right and take 2nd mini truck . Then go up and deal with new monsters, among which will be an elite enemy Psychopath. Then enter the portal and continue forward. Watch the new video and deal with Morse again - the battle tactics will be the same as before.
How to defeat Infected Chieftain Pompey
Watch the comic, then go forward to the lift and deal with another pack of enemies. After going down, approach the motorcycles to start an epic video. Next, you will have to fight the boss. The fight with him will consist of two phases. In the first stage, the enemy will ride a bike and attack you. Most of his attacks are easy to dodge.
The only danger is the drones flying around and releasing lasers. If you see a bunch of light beams aimed at your character, then immediately dash to the side to avoid getting hit. Do not forget that you can use the abilities of the trial Caesar, so be sure to activate her shield.
When you lower Pompey's health to zero, the next stage of the battle begins. The boss will get off his bike and attack you directly. If you see that the enemy has hit the ground with his sword and has started to accumulate energy (purple glow), then immediately run away from him, as he will soon cause a shock wave.
Let's add that the Leader will perform several consecutive attacks at once, so if you managed to dodge one blow, do not relax, as the enemy will soon make 2-3 more attacks. As usual, watch the yellow and red halos to dodge or parry in time.
The biggest danger here is the spin attack with the motorcycle, when the boss starts to glow purple, and then moves around the arena in a circle on the bike, and at the end does a jump attack, causing huge damage over an area. At this point, you need to run away from the enemy as far as possible.
Try to stun Pompey as quickly as possible by hitting him with Caesar's special attacks. Then perform a chain of attacks. It is advisable to save the superpower for the moment when the enemy is stunned in order to inflict maximum damage on him. After dealing with the boss, watch the epic video. This will be the end of the mission.
Talk to Caesar after a couple of days, then go to your sister/brother to leave the Bypass. Before that, you can talk to the other members of the Sons of Calydon. They will be standing along the sides of the road. When you return home, talk to your sister/brother again, then go to sleep on the bed. This will complete Chapter 4.
