Unexpected insider leaks on Far Cry 7 and what does Cillian Murphy have to do with it

Recently in the community Far Cry a mysterious teaser has appeared, sparking rumors about the next part of the cult shooter series. We are talking about a publication shared by an insider xj0nathan . The post consists of a puzzle: 4 pictures containing a huge arthropod, the number seven, dynamite with a 72-hour countdown and actor Cillian Murphy.

Some fans decided that the popular actor could be directly related to the next part, for example, becoming the prototype of the main antagonist of Far Cry 7, but the insider denied the speculation. According to him, the image has a different meaning and Murphy himself is not associated with the game. Presumably, the actor and character simply have a similar name.

But there are still easter eggs in xj0nathan's post: a bomb with a detonator refers to last year's rumors about Far Cry 7. In the upcoming shooter, according to Insider Gaming, a non-linear narrative with a time limit is expected: players will be faced with the task of saving the protagonist's family in the allotted 72 hours, as indicated on the detonator. Fans have even begun to speculate that failure to complete the mission could result in a devastating nuclear explosion.

The long-awaited game is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal on the Snowdrop engine, and is expected in autumn 2025.
