Treasure vaults in Hogwarts Legacy - secret rooms hiding in their depths a chest with a valuable reward. To enter most vaults, you will need to perform certain actions; a variety of puzzles await inside. In this guide, we will try to cover all aspects related to these locations.
How to find the entrance to the treasure vault
First of all, we advise you to simply track the indicated marks on your in-game map. You can also find all treasure vaults on interactive map by highlighting the markers in the World section Treasure Vault.
How to enter the treasure vault
First, let's go through the main ways to open the entrance to the vaults. In essence, they are unique in each case, since the elements of these puzzles are placed on environmental objects. Below we will look at techniques that will help overcome any obstacle on the way to the treasure.
Entrance with a ring
When the wire is closed by vertical flaps, you need to find the ring of the sliding mechanism nearby and pull it with a spell "Accio".
Broken gate entrance
Damaged doors leading to the vault can be opened with the Accio or Depulso spell.
Entrance by runic cube on the platform
This vault initially looks like a blank wall with a platform placed next to it. Here you need to place a cube found nearby, and then act on it with a spell of the corresponding element, depending on the pattern on its faces:
- Feather - "Levioso"
- Fire - "Incendio", "Confringo"
- Ice - "Glacius"
Entrance through the whirlpool
When the pointer on the map leads to suspicious circles in the water, simply swim to that area and hold down the "Dive" action that appears. You can get out of this place through this or another whirlpool inside.
Entrance with horizontal valves
If the gate is blocked by massive bolts, find two rotary mechanisms nearby. They need to be spun with the Depulso enchantment, this will move the blocks from the corresponding side. Just use the repulsion charms on the flywheels while you still can.
Entrance with lock
The lock on the locked bars can be opened by magic "Alohomora", the level required in a particular case is indicated when interacting with the door (there are locks up to level 3).
Littered entrance
Quite trivial obstacles can be encountered on the way to the storage mark: leaves, branches, stones. Remove them with the right magic:
- Cobblestones - "Depulso", "Bombard";
- Dense vegetation, cobwebs - "Incendio";
- Wreckage - "Reparo";
- Devil's snares - "Lumos";
- Boards - "Depulso".
How to solve vault puzzles
We have already said that inside the vault you will need to solve one of the puzzles, after which access to the reward will be opened. Below is a description of most of the puzzles that you will meet on the way to the treasure. Sometimes, however, you can just walk in and pick them up without any difficulty.
Chess puzzle
We already described in detail this type of storage. Here are just the basic principles:
- "Revelio" will help you find an item available for transformation;
- "Transform" will transform it into one of the figures;
- "Levioso" will allow you to drag and place it on the board.
Goal: checkmate the enemy king. To do this, recall the rules according to which a figure jeopardizes an enemy one:
- Queen/Queen: straight and diagonal lines;
- Rook: in straight lines;
- Elephant: on any of the diagonals;
- Horse: “letter G” - one cell in a straight line and two perpendicular to it, or two cells in a straight line and one perpendicular;
- Pawn: on a square adjacent diagonally.
When the opponent's king is defeated, a chest with generous loot will appear in the room.
Moving Floor Storage
Usually these wide rooms are almost completely empty. Find the cube with Revelio and then place it on the floor. If the floor starts to wave and sink, then the chest will be hidden near the sarcophagus below, if the floor rises, then you need to climb it up.
Vault with swivel statue
If there is such a statue in the vault, try putting out the flames with the Glacius enchantment. The monument will rotate, revealing an alcove where you can stand. Quickly climb up there and soon you will find yourself on the opposite side, where you will find a treasure chest.
Vault with skeletons
When the storage room looks like a crypt and bones and remains are scattered around, they must be collected on totems using Accio and Levioso, then in one way or another access to the reward chest will appear.
Stones with arrows in storage
Sometimes in the vault hall there are structures made of cubes with arrows on the edges. Usually you need to place a free cube with the help of "Levioso" so that it harmoniously complements the already created pattern. Sometimes there is a hint in the room in the form of a second stand with arrows, then you just need to copy the image.
Vault with flower breezes
Entering the dungeon, you can find a small tornado of leaves and flowers walking along the corridors. Just go into it and it will disappear, hiding in another nook. Keep catching it until a chest appears.
Storage with rings and drawers
Sometimes there may be a number of retractable blocks with rings in the vault. Usually you just need to highlight the interactable ones with Revelio, and then draw out the active ones with the Accio spell.
Vault with false walls
These repositories are empty only at first glance. "Revelio" will highlight the secret passages in the walls. It is enough to approach them closely and the entrance will open.
Rolling storage
Influence the flywheel with the Depulso spell - this will set in motion the platform that is needed to overcome the obstacle in this room. When the device loses its susceptibility to magic, the platform will reach the end point of its path, and you can get over it to the chest.
Vaults with floating braziers
Some of these braziers do not burn. Fix this with the Incendio or Confringo enchantment and the path to the reward will be open.
Stone arches in the vault
Having found a lonely stone arch in the dungeon, run through it, or do it from the back side. Try to pass it in different combinations back and forth - one way or another, soon you will see another chest with rewards under it.
Stone columns in the vault
Next to such columns lies a cube with a symbol inscribed on it. It is required to put it on the platform behind the pillars with the help of Levioso and influence the cube with the target elemental magic (this can be done both before and after being placed on the stove).
- Feather - "Levioso";
- Fire - "Incendio";
- Ice - Glacius.
