Help-room in Hogwarts Legacy - a secret zone of the castle, from a certain stage of the plot, it falls into the complete disposal of the player. In it, you can test your abilities in interior design by creating an environment to your taste, and besides this, the help-room has a purely utilitarian use: here you can improve equipment, make potions, cultivate magical plants and even breed animals. In the guide, we will tell you about the main aspects of using this shelter, tell you how to get there and not miss anything important.
The bonus will be a legendary item from the Harry Potter universe - the Golden Snitch, which also relates to the topic of the article in a certain way.
How to open a rescue room
Help Room is also a story mission of the same name, so at some point you will definitely see it in your quest log. There are only two prerequisites: to get at least level 6 character and completed the previous quest "Galkrad's Rest".
In the mentioned quest, the study of the rescue room will begin, during which Professor Weasley will talk about its history and purpose, and you will have to do the general cleaning of the ancient and slightly dusty room. Don't worry, working with your hands for this is not customary in the magical world, so you will be introduced to special transfiguration spells.
As soon as the mentor tells about the spell of disappearance "Evanesco", you can immediately start working on them, removing excess furniture that comes across on the way - each disassembled piece of furniture will give 1 moonstone. They will be needed for the further arrangement of their shelter.
At the end of the quest, you will meet Deek the houseman, who will look after the room in your absence. He will also show all the main parts of it and give basic advice on the use of free space.
Golden Snitch in the Help Room
As you explore your future hideout, at some point you'll make your way through a tunnel with red lights flying around. As you continue on your way, you will see how something small and bright will fly by, and the talking picture will also react to this. The Golden Snitch will fly into a blocked room with a chest and several crates.
In the screenshots, we outlined a plan for solving this puzzle: you need to move the boxes in such a way that you end up pulling the farthest box with the chest close to the window, then you can pick up a piece of equipment from there. You can’t get a Snitch locked in the same nook, it’s just an unexpected Easter egg for connoisseurs of the franchise.
Help Room Tour: Useful Items
After talking with Deek, the room will transform from a dilapidated shack into luxurious gilded halls. Now you need to carefully examine the possibilities that this newfound home offers. First of all, you will master the new magic of creating and modifying items - witchcraft and changing spells. Like Evanesco, they are designed exclusively to work with the help-room. Next, simply follow Professor Weasley's instructions and place the Potions Table and Pot Rack.
Also in your shelter there will be several objects for practical use:
- Loom - used to improve equipment items;
- Determination Table - unlocks the properties of unidentified pieces of equipment;
- Potions cauldrons - allow you to brew and infuse potions;
- Stands with pots - for growing plants.
How to place and remove items in the help-room
Use "Witch Spell" and a menu will appear on the screen containing 12 categories of decor objects, the main part of which will open after finding the corresponding recipe.
Note: to create something in the help-room, moonstones are required, and some of the recipes can be bought at the Tomes and Scrolls shop in Hogsmeade.
By placing the object you like on the surface, you can slightly modify it before creating it. Select a color with the "F" key or change style/type with "Q" and "E" when available. When finished with the preparations, complete the creation of the item with the left mouse button.
If it is needed adjust an already placed item, use Altering Spell on it. It can also be aimed at floors and walls to change their design and color.
Remove interior item you can use the Evanesco spell, after aiming at the object you want to remove.
How to expand the help-room
Remember the household elf that you met at the very beginning of the study of the help-room? By completing Deek's quests, you can unleash the full potential of the secret shelter by adding a vivarium for breeding creatures, additional areas to it, and a couple of other rooms.

How to return to the help-room
If after completing the tasks of the rescue room you cannot find your way back to your hideout, use the points with flying flames on your map: first find the section "Hidden Rooms", then select "Room of Requirement".
