In Genshin Impact Millennial Pearl Seahorse is one of the two alien lords of Fontmere and elite boss, added to the game With You with the release of update 4.1. It drops the Horn of Fontmer, which is necessary for the elevation of some characters. In this guide, you can find out where you can find this monster, what team should be prepared to fight it, and the fastest way to defeat it.
Where to find the Millennial Pearl Seahorse
To unlock access to this boss, you do not need to fulfill any additional conditions, so, in fact, you can go to it immediately after completing the Archon quest "Song of the Dragon and Freedom". However, we still advise you to first take on the Fontaine quest chain.
So first of all get to Fontaine by choosing one of two possible methods. Next, head to an area that was added in patch 4.1 called "Ruins and Iron Walls Variations." The creature you need is hiding in an underwater cave. Its exact location will be shown on September 27, 2023.
Respawn of the Millennium Pearl Seahorse
After you defeat this boss, he will recover approximately in 3-5 minutes – you need to teleport to another area or re-enter the game for the ruler to appear again. Remember also that to collect rewards from it you will have to spend 40 units Original resin.
Characteristics of the Thousand-Year Pearl Seahorse
Even in its normal state, this enemy has 60% resistance to Electro, but to other types of damage (including physical) its resistance is only 10%. When he covers himself with a Noelle: Protector with a pearl, the skate’s resistance to all elements increases by 60%. All this imposes certain restrictions on the selection of characters to fight this boss.
If we talk about the combat parameters of this seahorse, then it has average health indicators, but its attack power significantly exceeds the similar values of Setekh Wenut. For example, at level 90, his base HP is 408 thousand units (Unut has 519 thousand), and ATK is 15.2 thousand units (Unut has 11.4 thousand). You can see all the characteristics of the enemy in the image below (2P, 3P and 4P show the parameters when playing in co-op).

Tips for choosing heroes
Considering the boss' relatively low health bar and high attack power, we recommend that you pay as much attention to your squad's survivability as to its damage. If you see that your shield guy can’t cope with the incoming damage, then take a healer into your pack as well. It will help the characters recover from powerful area-of-effect skate attacks.
Primary and secondary damage dealers can be Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Dendro, Anemo and/or Geo, but we recommend sticking with the first three elements as they work best with Electro, allowing you to create the reactions needed to destroy the boss's shield ( more on this below).
Note: We strongly recommend taking damage-dealing archers into your squad, as the boss constantly hovers above the ground and will often rise high into the air, becoming inaccessible to those with melee weapons.
You can also try to collect a pack for physical damage, which often consists of main DD and sub-DD related to Cryo and Electro elements. At the same time, you don’t need to take Electro heroes, since you will create a Elemental Reaction: Superconduct simply by attacking the boss with an active horn.
As for supports, they can be of any element, since their main task is to increase the elemental damage of damage dealers, as well as their protection and healing, that is, they will practically not attack the enemy anyway.

Millennium Pearl Seahorse's attacks and movements
Double horn
The boss has a double horn, giving him +60% resistance to all elements and allowing him to use more powerful attacks. They are imbued with the Electro element and can be destroyed using spontaneous reactions. The horse will be stunned for a short period of time.
Fontmere's Ancient Thunder
When the horn is active, the boss flies up and then begins to create a resonating coral sphere. You can try to destroy it with ranged elemental attacks to damage the pearl.
Recovery
Having lost its horns, the horse can fly into the air to restore them.
How to defeat the Millennium Pearl Seahorse
Preparing for battle
Before the battle begins, you can eat dishes that increase attack power, critical damage and critical hit chance. It would be a good idea to drink potions that increase certain elemental damage to strengthen your damage dealers. In this case, the following will be useful:
- Streaming Essential Oil – Increases Hydro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
- Forest Essential Oil – increases Dendro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
- Frosting Essential Oil – Increases Cryo damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
- Flaming Essential Oil – Increases Pyro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
- Unmoving Essential Oil – increases Geo damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
The boss also primarily deals Electro damage, so we recommend you take a Insulation Potion, which increases resistance to Electric damage by 25% for 300 seconds.
Battle strategy
Everything is quite simple here. At the very beginning of the battle, the Seahorse of the Thousand-Year Pearl will already have a double horn, so your main task will be to destroy it. To do this, attack him with elements that interact with Electro - Cryo (1st place) and Pyro (2nd place) attacks work best in this case.
Let's add that the boss also has an additional Noelle: Protector from the foreign pearl. To remove it, you need to destroy the coral spheres using elemental reactions. The disappearance of each of them weakens the monster. Over time, they reappear in the arena.
When the double horn is destroyed, the enemy will fall to the ground and you can hit them with impunity for a few seconds. He will then use basic strikes and after a while he will fly up and return with new horns - repeat the above process.
Note that in close combat you can hit the horns of the skate only if the enemy lowers his head a little down. For this reason, if you want to constantly deal damage specifically to the horns, then take an archer or a catalyst into your squad.
Achievements for the Millennium Pearl Seahorse
During the battle with this boss, you can get two trophies at once. Next, we will tell you what you need to do to open them.
Pebble Collector
You will need to destroy the alien pearl at the moment when the boss sends Fontmer's Ancient Thunder. In doing so, you must not damage the resonating corral sphere. For unlocking achievements they give 5 source stones.
I will conquer the storm!
It is necessary to deal with the boss while he is trying to restore the pearl of another sea. For unlocking achievements they give 5 source stones.
