In Genshin Impact luxury chests in the Liffey District and the Institute of Kinetic Energy are valuable objects, as they allow you to obtain pestilence, source stones, Hydro seals and useful materials. They can be found by exploring the 4.1 Ruins and Iron Walls Variations region, completing quests, completing challenges, and solving puzzles. In this guide we will indicate the location of all these chests and tell you how to open them.
Where to Find Luxury Chests in the Liffey District and the Kinetic Energy Institute
There are currently 14 luxury chests to be found in these areas. Only a few of them are located in open areas - most are hidden in secluded corners, which can only be reached after performing certain actions.
The map above shows the approximate location of all luxury chests in Fontaine (including those hidden in the Tombs of the Deep). Next we will take a closer look at how to obtain them.
Luxurious chest 1
- Area: Eastern slope of Mont Esus
It can be obtained after killing the Spiked Bubble, located in an underwater cave with polluted water. Staying in this place will gradually reduce your health reserves. In separate manual we told you where exactly you can find this monster and how to defeat it.
Luxurious chest 2
- Region: The Fortress of Meropide
Go to the underwater prison and get to the drive valve, with which you will need to open the western door leading to the energy storage warehouse. Inside you will find the desired casket. We talked in detail about how to do this in separate article.
Luxurious chest 3
- Region: Liffey District (northwest)
Travel to the underwater teleporter in the northern part of the indicated location, and then swim a little northwest, and you will find a terminal near a metal pipe that allows you to start training. Before interacting with him, take the ability from the xenochrome jellyfish swimming nearby.
Start with habituation training, in which you need to destroy all the plump fruits in 2 attacks. Hold the "E" key to enter aiming mode and release a bomb at the front group of targets, as shown in the picture below. Blow it up by pressing the skill button again.
Now swim up to the next group of puffy fruits and place a bomb right next to the central cluster of targets (see screenshot below). Next, blow it up. The mine must be placed in aiming mode so that its explosion radius is larger.
Next select regular workout, in which you will also have to destroy all the plump fruits in 2 attacks. Swim up to them, and then take aim and release the mine towards the central target when the rest of the clusters of fruit begin to move towards it. Then detonate the bomb, destroying all targets in one hit.
Remained advanced training. You will again have to destroy all the plump fruits in two attacks, but this time you will have to make sure that the bombs explode in time. The fact is that if you simply launch a mine into the center of the circle, it will fly past.
We advise you to stand on the side of the ring and throw a bomb at it - this will make it easier for you to understand when to detonate the bomb. The gif above shows how you can destroy both circles in one attack. Immediately after completing all the challenges, you will receive a luxury chest and unlock the “Le Scaphandre et le Pufferfruit” trophy.
Luxurious chest 4
- Area: New Fontaine Research Institute
Move to the teleport in the north of the indicated location, and then run to the southeast and climb onto the rock. At its top you will find the Treasure you need and Hydroculus.
Luxurious chest 5
- Area: Central Laboratory Ruins
To obtain it, you will have to solve a puzzle in one of the Hydro Cubes floating in the indicated location. You will need to find and bring four fairies to their houses in order to unlock the passage, behind which the luxurious casket is located. We talked in detail about how to do this in separate manual.
Luxurious chest 6
- Area: Central Laboratory Ruins
You can get it by finding the C1, C2 and T spur gears and then placing them on top of the robot in the hilichurl camp. Watch the fireworks, and then take the chest on top of the statue. In separate material We have described in detail the solution to this puzzle.
Luxurious chest 7
- Region: Institute of Kinetic Energy (south)
Move to the southernmost teleport of the indicated area, turn around, and you will immediately find a Hurdle behind which there is a chest. To remove the force field, you will need to find two fairies and bring them to the houses. We talked about how to do this in separate guide.
Luxurious chest 8
- Region: Institute of Kinetic Energy (south)
It is located in Brave's Chamber of Secrets, accessible through the door located in the pit. It is shown in the pictures below. To open it you will need Arkhium Lumenite. We talked in detail about how to get the necessary items in separate article.

- Region: Institute of Kinetic Energy (south)

You can get it when completing the world quest "In Search of Lost Time". It is located inside the building shown in the screenshots below.
Luxurious chest 11
- Area: New Fontaine Research Institute
You can get it after completing the world quest "Road to the Singularity". It is located on the lower level of Kusel's workshop. If for some reason you forgot to pick up the chest, then the screenshots below show the entrance to the desired cave and the exact location of the treasure.
Luxurious chest 12
- Area: New Fontaine Research Institute
It is in the same room as the previous chest, but is locked in a cage. To open it, you have to find 7 cumulative energy storage devices. We showed their location in separate material.
Luxurious chest 13-14
- Field: Institute of Kinetic Energy
