Teleporter in Lethal Company: how to use Inverse teleport

    Zorthrus

In Lethal Company A teleporter is an upgrade for a ship that allows you to instantly move crew members from anywhere on the satellite to the ship. There is also a reverse teleportation system that allows players to be transported back to the complex. In this guide, we'll show you how to buy and use both devices, as well as exactly when they'll be useful.

Regular and Inverse teleports in Lethal Company

How to buy regular and reverse teleports

These devices can only be purchased in one place – the in-game store. Come to terminal on a transport ship, interact with it, and then enter the command store to see the range of available products.

Find a category at the bottom of the list Ship Upgrades (ship improvements) - in it you will find the devices you need and their cost:

    • Teleporter (regular teleport) – sells for 375 currency units.
    • Inverse Teleporter (reverse teleport) - sells for 425 currency units.

For acquisitions For any of these improvements, you need to enter its name into the computer in English, for example, teleporter or inverse teleporter, and then confirm the purchase by entering the word confirm.

If the purchase was successful, you will see a small area with antennas behind you, and a remote control with a red button will appear near the main monitor. Note that the reverse teleport looks a little different - it is painted black/yellow, and its remote control has a yellow button.

    How to use teleport

So, as we noted above, a standard teleport simply moves the selected character back to the starship. How exactly do you choose the right player? To do this, go to the main surveillance monitor located to the left of the terminal, and then start pressing the white button labeled "Switch camera" .

You will switch between your crew members and see where they are currently located. Stop at the player you want, and then lift the glass at the remote control and press the red button with the inscription "Beam up" . After this, the teleportation system is activated - the site will light up blue.

The ally to whom the teleport was applied should see blue flashes of energy around him, and after 2-3 seconds he will move to the spaceship, regardless of where he was and what he was doing. Let us add that this device has a cooldown of 10 seconds, that is, it can be used a second time only after a specified period of time.

Important: When teleporting, the player loses absolutely all the things he held in his hands or stored in his inventory, so he needs to use it wisely.

    How to use reverse teleport

The principle of its operation is slightly different from the previous device. Immediately go to the remote control, lift its glass and press the yellow button with the inscription "Beam up" . Then stand on the teleport pad, which will begin to rotate and emit a red light. After about 2-3 seconds you will move to a random location on the object.

Let’s add that the cooldown time for the return teleport is as much as 210 seconds, so it won’t be possible to immediately move the entire team to the complex.

What are regular and reverse teleports for?

Let us immediately note that both of these devices are definitely not essential items on which you need to immediately spend your first earned money - it is better to buy professional flashlights and shovels for them. You can start using teleports around the middle of the game, when you start exploring medium difficulty moons, for example, Offense or March.

Methods of using a regular teleport

The first useful function of this device is to save your allies who find themselves in a dangerous situation. For example, if a friend is being chased by a creepy monster and he can’t escape from it, then you can quickly move him to the spaceship, or if he steps on mine, then teleportation can again save him from an explosion (although it is much more convenient to simply deactivate the explosive).

Note: For those playing alone, the teleport will be useless, so you can ignore it.

Its second important function is the teleportation of the bodies of dead crew members. Let us remind you that the corporation imposes quite significant fines for each deceased player, but they can be significantly reduced or even eliminated if the corpse of the deceased is delivered to the ship. You, of course, can try to drag it to the transporter yourself, but it will be much more convenient to simply use the teleport.

Using a teleport to quickly load scrap will not work, since when moving, the player loses absolutely all items in his inventory, including tools (flashlight, walkie-talkie, etc.). So it should only be used in emergency situations or to return bodies to the ship.

    Methods of using reverse teleport

At first glance, it may seem that this device is absolutely useless, because it moves only one player without tools or weapons to a completely random point in the complex, where there may be terrible creatures that can tear a person apart in a split second. However, if used correctly, this installation can bring considerable benefits.

To effectively use the reverse teleport, you must have at least three people on your team, and have installed radar amplifiers. Let's say 1 player remains on the ship as a coordinator, and the rest go looking for resources. Once they have collected enough scrap, they can send one person to load it onto the ship. Before this, you need to take away his walkie-talkie, flashlight and other tools.

Having loaded the last materials, in order not to waste time returning to the complex on his own two feet, he can simply use the return teleport. Next, the coordinator must activate one of the radar amplifiers at the facility so that the player understands where he needs to go. There he should be met by friends who already have flashlights and a walkie-talkie. Now just repeat the process.

The radar amplifier can be activated near the exit from the complex, so that the player simply runs towards its sound, collecting all the trash along the way, and then returns to the ship and teleports again. If you want to always keep your tools with you, you can download mod entitled BetterTeleporter, which does not throw away keys, a flashlight and a walkie-talkie during teleportation, but reduces the energy of the latter to 50%.

You can use the reverse teleport alone, but again, you should first install a radar amplifier near the entrance to the complex and ping it so that you know where to run. Some also use this device for reconnaissance, finding places where resources lie.
