In Lethal Company The mask is demonic object, which when worn on the face can turn the player into a possessed person. In the game you can find two types of masks: tragedy and comedy. In this guide, we will tell you exactly how this item works, whether it is possible to reverse the transformation into a Masked One, and whether killing the latter is allowed.

Lethal Company Mask: Basics and Tips

    Where can you find masks

These items are classified by the game as regular scrap, so they can be found on almost any moon inside the complex. They often lie on the floor, steps or tables. Therefore, you can completely accidentally stumble upon such a thing and pick it up.

Note: Note that already possessed company employees, the so-called Masked ones, can spawn with a certain probability only on two moons : Rend (60%) and Titan (25%).

    How the mask works

You can easily take the mask to the ship, and then sell it as scrap metal in the Company's office, that is, holding it in your hands is completely safe. The main thing is DO NOT wear this item on your face., that is, do not click on the left mouse button. However, there are certain conditions here, depending on the type of item selected.

    Comedy mask

We have already noted above that there are two types of masks: Comedy and Tragedy. The pictures above show what they look like in the game. They have the following differences:

    • Comedy mask - looks like a laughing face. You can put it on and take it off any number of times. However, it is important not to hold it near your head for more than 5 seconds, otherwise the transformation will begin. It costs a little less than the tragedy mask.
    • The mask of tragedy looks like a sad face. If you lean it against your head by pressing LMB, the process of turning into Masked will immediately begin. It can be sold a little more expensive than a comedy mask.

The transformation process itself looks like this: the mask sticks to your face, filling the entire screen. Then, after a few seconds, the character dies, emitting a piercing scream that can be heard by other players - this is how they are able to determine that a possessed person has appeared in the world.

    Masked in Lethal Company

The masked one looks exactly the same as the killed player, except that he now has a mask on his head. It is from this that you can understand that your ally has died and is now controlled by a demonic entity, whose main goal is to kill your entire crew.

In terms of behavior they are very similar to Bracken, that is, they also like to sneak up on players from behind and then quickly kill them. However, they do not like having several people looking at them, so they may well run away from the crowd.

There are also differences from Bracken - Masked ones do not really like to hunt, so when they meet their target, they immediately try to kill it. To do this, the possessed person grabs the character and then shoots poison from his mouth at him. In this case, the victim eventually also transforms into a demonic creature. Thus, the entire crew can quickly turn into Masked.

How to remove the mask from a possessed person

It is impossible to do this. Unfortunately, the player who put on the mask and turned into a monster has already completely died, so there is no way to reverse the transformation. The only way to get rid of the threat that has arisen is to kill the masked one.

How to kill a masked one

Fortunately, the possessed do not become invulnerable creatures, so they can be killed with a shovel or a road sign - four hits should be enough. Plus, he's susceptible to action. stun gun, so one player can stun him and the others can hammer him with shovels.

It is not recommended to fight this enemy one on one, as you will not only most likely lose to him, but you will also turn into a disguised one, creating an additional headache for the crew.

It would be best to simply ignore this enemy, avoiding meeting him. Besides, you still won’t be able to return the body of the possessed person to the ship to reduce penalties, so there’s practically no point in killing him.

In the end, we will add that the possessed person is still identified as a player, so you can very well teleport him to the ship, which can lead to the death of the entire group, since fighting him in a small space is extremely inconvenient. So use the teleport with caution if cloaked ones appear in the location.
