Aventurine tricks in Honkai Star Rail: how to find and win

    Zorthrus

In Honkai: Star Rail Aventurine of Cunning is one of the Ten Hearts of Stone and a boss from KMM that you will fight as part of the story quest. In this guide, we will tell you where you can encounter this enemy and which teams are best suited to fight it. You will also learn about all of his main attacks and the most optimal tactics for fighting this boss.

How to open access to Aventurine tricks

You will first encounter this boss during the Mastery mission called "Walk Among the Graves" from the chain "Cat Among Pigeons". In this quest, you will have to defeat a weakened version of the enemy, which has reduced characteristics such as attack power, defense and health - the fight with him will be less difficult, and it is partially described in the quest walkthrough.

After that you can face him in Forgotten hall, either in Pure fiction. He may also be made a boss in Virtual universe or Pure fiction in the distant future. We will update the guide as soon as more accurate data becomes available.

    Characteristics of Aventurine tricks

Depending on your rank of Balance and the selected difficulty (in the Virtual Universe), the characteristics of the KMM top manager will change. The picture below shows its parameters at the maximum level 82 (note that we are talking about the normal version of the enemy, not a weakened one) and the progression of attributes.

As for the enemy's vulnerabilities, he is susceptible electrical, ice and physical attacks. At the same time, he has an increased (40%) resistance to imaginary damage and an average (20%) resistance to wind, fire and quantum types of damage. More detailed information can be found in the image below.

It should be noted that it has a 40% resistance to effects, that is, if your character has a 100% chance of being hit by the effects of a skill, then it will only be cast on Aventurine with a 60% chance. He also has Resistance to control, so it won’t be possible to catch him in Conclusion, for example.

    Recommended Commands

    Standard units

Given the cunning characteristics of Aventurine, we strongly advise you to take physical ice and/or electric damage dealers into your squad. Under no circumstances take imaginary damage dealers, as the damage from them will be significantly reduced. Quantum, fire and wind characters can be used as supports.

Very desirable take damage dealers capable of attacking several targets at once. The fact is that you will have to regularly hit 1-4 dice, knocking out numbers from them. The more dice you can hit, the higher the number you will hit, and therefore protect yourself from damage. At the same time, fighters must be well pumped in order to inflict significant damage, since the enemy is extremely “fat” - his health bar is 50% higher than that of Skarakabaza.

In addition, the boss deals huge area damage, so be sure to use a good shieldman and/or healer. A good option would be those that can remove weaknesses (the enemy will constantly apply them to your characters) and penetrate enemy vulnerabilities. These include Mart7, Natasha, Huohuo, Lynx, Bailu, Cheetah and Locha. If they are not at hand, then you can use any other healers and defenders.

Also try to weaken Aventurine of Cunning as much as possible by taking one debuffer, for example, Pelu or Silver Wolf. With it, you can reduce the target’s defense, impose the necessary vulnerabilities on it, remove buffs, or apply effects to periodic damage.

The table below shows the optimal units for fighting Aventurine of Cunning. It contains both budget and “paid” packs.

    Survival squads

If you do not have pumped up 5-star damage dealers of the above elements, then try to significantly increase the survivability of your squad by taking two healers, shield warriors or a healer and a defender. As a third character, take a buffer/debuffer with increased health or defense.

Any free hero of the physical, ice or electric type, for example, Trailblazer, Serval, Misha or Herta, is suitable as a damage dealer. Use a buffer/debuffer to strengthen a fighter or weaken a boss, and use a healer and shield to protect the entire squad so that it can survive enemy area attacks.

The fight will be very long since your only DPS will not be able to deal much damage, however, in the end you will still defeat the boss. The table below shows several options for suitable units.

Aventurine's cunning combat and attack phases

    First phase

    Big bets

Hit one target with a cube, causing significant apparent damage. Usually performs this strike first.

    Equal investment

Throws a playing chip that bounces off random targets, causing them relatively little imaginary damage.

    Fountain of glasses

Throws four dice at all characters, causing them average imaginary damage and reducing their energy reserves. A very annoying attack that may prevent you from using your healing or defensive ult in time. She can also easily finish off your hero, who previously suffered from a bet.

    Betting time

2 All or Nothing dice appear in the arena. The character chosen by the Adventurer must hit these dice to get 1-2 numbers (1 to 6), which are then added up. If the resulting amount is higher than Aventurine’s number (shown on the right), then the hero wins the bet and restores his ult, and if it is lower, he loses and receives a blow from the boss.

    Cunning Stakes

If you win the Time of Betting, the character receives the Fortune's Favorite buff, which increases the damage he inflicts. If he loses, he is subject to the negative effect “Luck has turned against you,” which, on the contrary, increases the damage he receives.

    Time for losers is up

If the character loses in "Betting Time", the boss will deal significant imaginary damage to him. There is a high probability that he will also place Imprisonment on him.

    Second phase

All normal attacks remain the same, except that Equal Investment now deals slightly more damage due to the increased number of bounces. The main change is undergoing the main skill, which is now called “Big Spender Party”.

    Big Spender Party

4 All or Nothing dice now appear in the arena at once, and all your characters participate in the bet, not just one of them. They will all have to hit these dice individually to get 1-4 numbers (1 to 6), which are then added up. If the resulting amount is higher than Aventurine’s number (shown on the right), then the hero wins the bet and restores his ult, and if it is lower, he loses and receives a blow from the boss.

    How to defeat Aventurine tricks

    First phase

During the first stage, the main danger will be the “Fountain of Points” attacks, since they not only cause significant damage to all your characters, but also steal energy from them. As for Bid Time, this skill will only affect one of your characters, and you can easily force the boss to choose the hero you need.

The thing is, just like with regular strikes, Aventurine of Cunning chooses his victim based on their Taunt score, so most often he will play dice with the heroes of Preservation (150) or Destruction (125). The Fiery Trailblazer, with the help of his skill, can force the boss to constantly choose only himself, and with his normal attack he will hit two dice at once, which will increase the likelihood of a high number rolling out.

Be sure to keep at least 1 skill point in reserve so that your damage dealer can always use his skill and hit two dice at once if necessary. If he loses, try to heal him or cover him with a shield as quickly as possible.

Note that if you are lucky, you will be able to beat the bet. The fact is that during a blow to the bones, you will continue to accumulate energy, so after the attack the ult may well be activated. If you get a number lower than Aventurine's cunning, then immediately press the superpower button to perform an additional blow.

    Second phase

The main danger here will be the Big Spender Party attack, as it will now affect all your heroes. Your main task is to try not to let your supports die. The fact is that if you have chosen the damage dealers correctly, they will be able to attack several dice at once, so they will most likely receive a number higher than that of the boss (he will still only roll 2 dice), so their lives will be in relative safety.

Your supports will generally be able to hit only 1 cube, so most often they will lose and receive damage. For this reason, it will often be more profitable not to attack the bones, but to use the skills of support characters to, for example, heal in advance, put The Shield on yourself, or buff the damage dealer one last time.

If your DPS loses the bet, then try to heal him as quickly as possible. Losing one DD is acceptable if you have another damage dealer. If the only fighter on the team dies, you can immediately start the battle over.

    Achievements for Aventurine cunning

As you battle one of the ten Hearts of Stone, you will be able to unlock two trophies from the "Thirst for Battle" category.

    Double six

As part of the fight with Aventurine of Cunning, one attack of your characters requires that at least two All or Nothing dice show 6 points. Let us remind you once again that the numbers are random, so there is no guaranteed way to get this achievement. However, you can increase this probability a little.

In the second phase, 4 cubes will appear in the arena at once, so if you can hit all of them at once, the chance of getting the desired numbers will increase. To do this, you can use Argenti, Pela, Gerta and other characters whose attacks affect all enemies on the battlefield.

All My People, All My People…

Reach the second phase of the boss fight and wait for the Big Spender Party attack. Then all 4 of your characters need to win the bet. Achieving this will be difficult, but possible.

First, take into your squad characters who can deal area damage with any of their skills. We are not necessarily talking about damage dealers. For example, March 7th, Trailblazer (fire), Fu Xuan and Luocha can hit all enemies at once with their ultimate, so you won’t be left without protection or healing.

Secondly, save up the ultimates of all the characters and use them when the dice appear to be guaranteed to win the bet. Let's add that you don't need to win the battle itself, so don't be afraid if your team loses after this.
