In Genshin Impact Tanuki-Bayashi in the Forest (Hayashi from Tanuki in the forest) is Inazuma's world quest, in which you have to find three tanuki and solve a puzzle with lanterns to destroy the barrier. How to start the quest "Tanuki-Bayashi in the Forest"
To do this, you will need to go to the Tinju Forest and walk around it until you hear a strange voice. After that, the task will start automatically. The picture below shows the place where we heard the desired noise.
It is possible that in order to start this quest, you must first complete the mission "Sacrificial Offering".
Find a strange statue
After hearing the voice, start climbing the stone stairs. Occasionally, you will notice tanuki that will "growl" in a funny way. When you get almost to the top, turn left and go forward. There you will encounter several Hilichurls. The screenshots below show the correct location.
Having dealt with all the opponents, chat with the statue named Iora. She will give you the next task.
Find a little tanuki
You have to find 3 small animals hiding in the marked area. You don't need to catch them - just follow them when they disappear, and then approach the torches and light them.
Tanuki Sesei
Leave the location with the statue and stand on the stairs again. You will almost immediately see the first animal on the steps. Recall that tanuki make characteristic sounds, so you can just follow the noise.
When you approach the "raccoon", it will disappear and reappear a little lower. Approach him again. He will jump up and disappear, and a torch will appear even lower, which must be set on fire with any Pyro skill.
Tanuki Kitiboshi
It can be found in a barrel, standing on a large stone next to the stairs. Approach it and fight a group of Hilichurls. Then climb onto the ledge and click on the "Explore" button so that the desired animal appears.
Tanuki Gebu Koban
It will also make loud noises. You will find it near the foot of the stairs. Approach him. It will jump up, disappear and reappear elsewhere. Approach him again. The tanuki will disappear and reappear on the river for the last time.
Again, approach the animal and wait until it disappears. A little ahead, 3 torches will appear along the river. They all need to be lit.
Find and destroy the Hurdle
After finding all the tanuki, return to the statue and chat with her again. You will receive the Ioroi’s Ward needed to destroy the barrier.
Head to the point marked on the map (just in case, they showed the right place in the screenshot above). Watch the cut-scene in which the tanuki will open the entrance to the cave. Go forward and take on the next riddle with the lamps.
How to solve the lantern puzzle
First of all, go to the nearest lantern and select the "clear" option. An image will appear showing the correct order for all fixtures. That is, you will need to set the desired numbering for the columns, choosing the required number of "commas".
We leave 1 comma at the first lantern. On the lamp a little ahead and to the right of it, set 4 commas. To the left of it, in the recess, find the next flashlight and put 3 commas on it.
Now go back to the second four-comma lamp and climb up the tree next to it. At the top of the lantern on the right, put 2 commas. The one on the left should also have 2 commas.
Having set the correct order, go to the very first lantern and pray near it. The boss Ochimusya will appear and you will need to destroy it. Next, talk to Kazari. This will end the quest, and you will be rewarded with 250 Adventure Points, 3 Hero XP, 40 Source Stones, and 30,000 Mora.
