In Genshin Impact The Perilous Trail is the second chapter of the Intermediate Thoma the main storyline of the game. How to start the quest "Perilous Trail"
To unlock this mission, you will first need to fulfill a number of conditions, namely:

After a short conversation, your friend will run away, but the cutscene will continue. Kuki Shinobu and Arataki Itto will approach you. Now you need to communicate with them. They will search for Yanfei, assuring you that they are not up to anything illegal.
Delve into the Achievement: Chasm
When the conversation comes to an end, you will need to go deep into the underground mines. To do this, you can simply jump down and glide down to the glowing crack. There you will find Yanfei again. During the conversation with her, Yelan will appear, and then Arataki Itto and Kuki Shinobu will come again. The atmosphere will heat up, but suddenly there will be an earthquake, due to which everyone will fall underground.
Note that if for some reason you left the specified zone, then you can always return here using the portal leading to the Bottom of the Rift. It is located in the southeast location of the Underground Mines.
Approach Yelan
After falling down and talking to the companions, go ahead and talk to Yelan, who discovered the entrance to an unknown dungeon. Here you will also meet Xiao, who will refuse to join our group. The archer will offer to explore the mysterious area.
This will complete the task. As a reward, you will receive 500 adventure points, 22,000 pestilence, 2 hero experience and 4 magical enhancement ore.
Chasmic Maze
The Domain Entrance looks like a blue portal. Interact with him. You will see information about the dungeon. The game will recommend that you add Hydro characters to your squad, as you will have to face a lot of Pyro enemies. However, you can go through this area without water heroes.
How to complete the dungeon "Chamber of Twisted Cranes"
So, you will need to get out of the underground location in order to be on the surface again. First, turn right and interact with the cube installed here. As a result, the floating island in front will turn around and a luminous staircase will appear.
Climb down and fight some Pyro Slimes. The fastest way to deal with them is with the help of Hydro, Cryo or Electro attacks. After dealing with the enemies, activate the next cube, from which the red Hurdle will disappear. This will flip the island in front and create a new ladder.
Climb up, turn right and go down another ghostly stairs to a group of hilichurls and another blocked cube. Destroy the monsters and open the rich chest that appears. Next, you need to rotate the unlocked cube 3 times. The third screenshot below shows the required result (be guided by the blocked cube at the bottom - it should be in the center of the stairs).
Go up the stairs again and turn left. Climb down and rotate the local cube to rotate the island you previously visited again. In the second picture below you can see the desired result. Now go up to this area and deal with a group of hilichurls and slimes to unlock another cube.
After interacting with the unlocked cube, you can go even higher to the next island. Here you will need to defeat two geowishaps. After destroying them, you will receive a precious chest and open a portal. Interact with the latter to leave the dungeon. Next, watch a new long cut-scene.
Talk to the rest
Once again back to where you started your journey, you will need to chat with Arataki Itto, Yanfei, and Yelan. All of them will be marked with markers. After talking to them, the quest will end and you will receive a reward: 1125 adventure points, 49200 pestilence, 5 hero experience and 9 magical enhancement ore.
Don't forget to also visit the event page and click on the "Hidden Danger" button. There, select the " Achievement: Challenger Rewards" section to collect an additional reward for the Crane Chamber of Twisted Cranes dungeon. Plus, you will have access to tests "Kingdoms of Lies and Discord" .

Return to camp
If for any reason you left the Rift after completing the previous part, then you can easily return there. Open the map of underground mines and select the teleport shown in the picture below. Then go down under the Hoverlight Rocks and interact with the hole.
Once at the bottom, wait until the next day. Then a new cutscene will immediately begin, in which you will talk with other characters who have fallen into a trap With You you. Next, you have to continue your exploration by going forward to the entrance to a new dungeon. Interact with him.
Dungeon City of Hidden Runes(symbol puzzle)
Inside the dungeon, you will encounter mitachurls, baby geowishaps, adult geovishaps, and geo lavacurls, so the game will recommend that you take powerful Geo characters to your team. However, you can go through the dungeon with the heroes of other elements.
Before you start clearing the dungeon, you will be shown instructions for solving the local puzzle. Study it carefully. So, on the central platform you will see a mechanism with four multi-colored symbols on the floor (remember what they look like). You have to activate them all to solve the riddle. They are shown in the screenshots below.
Opposite each rune, you can see portals leading to platforms with different symbols of the same color. You will need to light all the signs similar to the one painted on the central mechanism. To do this, you just need to stand on them. If you run on the wrong rune, you will take damage.

We decided to start with the purple rune, but you can choose any other rune, since the order here is not important. So, go through the portal and you will see a lot of symbols on the floor. You need to go through those of them that are identical to the central symbol. We have marked them in the picture below. If you do everything right, then a lavachurl will appear, which must be destroyed.
Next, access to the second part of the puzzle will open. The light sculptors on the platform (light pillars) will turn on, the rays of which must be directed to large runes on the opposite site, thereby activating the symbol near the central mechanism. Approach the first device and use it.
Start twisting and moving the beams so that they land on the two large purple symbols shown in the image below.
Now go to the second device and move the two lasers so that they hit the other two purple signs (the solution is shown in the screenshot below). As a result, you will activate a purple rune near the central mechanism.

Use the nearest portal to go to the platform with blue signs. Choose the ones that we have indicated in the picture below.
After that, destroy the three baby geowishaps. Now again interact with the two pillars of light to direct their beams at the large blue symbols on the opposite platform. As a result, you activate the blue rune on the central mechanism.
Green symbol
Use the nearest portal to go to the platform with green signs. Choose the ones that we have indicated in the picture below.
After that, destroy two geowishaps. Now interact with the two pillars of light again to direct their beams at the large green symbols on the opposite platform. As a result, you activate the green rune on the central mechanism.

Use the nearest portal to go to the platform with yellow signs. Choose the ones that we have indicated in the picture below.
After that, destroy the three mitachurls. Now interact with the two pillars of light again to send their beams to the large yellow symbols on the opposite platform. As a result, you activate the yellow rune on the central mechanism.
After activating all the symbols on the central mechanism, a cutscene will be shown in which the light from the main platform will point to another platform with a hole in the middle. Find the portal leading to it. As soon as you are on it, a new cut-scene will start.
Leave the Abyss
Jump down the gap ahead. You don't have to plan as you will fall into the water. Then swim to Arataki Itto, who stands on the shore. Watch another lengthy cutscene that takes you into the Abyss. You will need to get out of it.
It is very simple to do this - run forward and inspect the glowing zone that has arisen. You will fall down again. Again, swim to the guys on the shore and watch the new video.
Find Yanfei mentioned location
Return to the camp and chat with your companions: Yelan, Arataki Itto and Kuki Shinobu. They will be marked with markers. During the conversation, you can choose any dialogue options, as they do not affect the development of the quest.
Next, Yanfei wants to talk to you in private about something. Head to the place indicated by her. It will also be marked with a pointer. Climb up the tunnel and watch the cutscene.
Find Xiao
You will need to go to the sound or use your elemental sense to find Xiao. At the first fork, turn right and run down. At the second fork, turn right again and reach a dead end.
You will eventually find Xiao and be able to escort him to the camp. This will unlock the No Way Home achievement. Next, talk to Yelan in one of the caves.
Chat with others
After watching the video with Yanfei and the archer, talk to each of your companions (Xiao, Arataki Itto, Kuki Shinobu and Yelan) again. All of them will be marked with markers. Ere the End, a Glance Back
Return back to the camp located on the Day of the Rift if you left this location (we described how to do this above). Then a long cutscene will start in which you will have a conversation with Paimon, Kuki Shinobu and other characters.
How to get through the dungeon "Realm of Snaring Illusions"
An entrance to a new dungeon created by Arataki Itto will appear. Follow the mini-map marker and you will soon see a yellow hole in the rock. Enter it, turn right and you will notice another portal. Interact with him to start clearing the dungeon.
After watching a short video, you will immediately encounter treasure thieves, and you will not have to fight them with your own characters, but only one Yanfei. However, there will not be very many enemies, so you should deal with them without any problems. The main thing is to dodge in time and not stand still.
Where to find new clues in space
Talk to your friend again, and then start looking for clues. First, look to the right of the gate and you will see a glowing marker next to a wooden trough. Examine it to find Notes of Unknown Origin I.
Now turn around and go up a little. There you will see two explosive barrels. Shoot them to destroy the cobblestone. This action will allow you to receive additional rewards in the future.
Next, go to the strange compass (clock) and turn it forward only once. As a result, you will unlock the passage to the next space. Go through the gate ahead to get into an unusual tunnel.
After passing through the portal on the other side of the tunnel, you will again find yourself in the previous location, but slightly changed. Talk to Yelan and Yanfei. Then you have to fight Pyro Musketeer and Cryo Skirmisher Fatui, as well as Pyro Agent Fatui, controlling the indicated characters. Change heroines more often by attacking enemies of opposite elements. After dealing with the opponents, watch the video.
How to enter a new space (compass puzzle)
Remember how you destroyed the cobblestone in the previous version of the location? Turn around again and you will see a passage leading to a regular chest. The fact is that your actions in the past will affect how this area will look in the future.
Now go to the grate and pick up another note. Go back to the compass. You need to turn its arrow forward, but this will prevent the tree, which should be removed. For this turn the mechanism back and return to the previous version of the location through the Achievement: Gate. You will see a tree sprout next to the device, which should be broken with any skill or attack.
Again turn arrow forward to return to the desired region version. There will be no more tree, and the compass is already set to the required symbol, so you can immediately go through the portal ahead.
Once in the new version of the location, spin arrow forward once (sometimes you need to scroll it 2 times). It will point to the last character (see screenshot below). Go through the passage again to get to the required space.
Watch the new cutscene, then take on your opponent as Xiao. You won't be able to defeat the monster, so just dodge his attacks. The fight will end after the dialogue ends. Watch another cut-scene.
Walk into a new space
Pick up another note on the left side of the grate. The compass, by the way, will be behind this metal door, and the lever that opens it does not work. You will again have to go to the past. To do this, simply go through the Achievement: Gate.
Here the lever will work, so interact with it to unlock the grate, and then return to the future and go to the mechanism. A spider will hang next to it. Kill him and then turn the arrow of the device back two times so that it points to the last character on the left (see the picture below).
Go through the Achievement: Gate again to get to the next space. Watch the new cutscene where you will automatically pick up the note. Now turn the compass needle back once and again interact with the portal.
Leave this space
As a result, you will fall into the Abyss. Walk forward a little and then follow your brother (sister). Instead, a compass will appear on the ground. Examine it and watch the new cut-scene.
Then you will return to the previous area. Open the precious chest and exit the dungeon. A new long video will be shown. After its completion, the task will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 1325 adventure points, 5 hero experience, 58,200 pestilence and 11 magical enhancement ore. You will also immediately have access to the last quest of the chain.
At Tunnel’s End, Light
Back at the camp, chat with Yanfei, Xiao, and Yelan. Then meet up with the remaining companions. After a lengthy cutscene, you'll finally make it to the surface and unlock the Layers of Fear trophy.
Next, you will need to go to the place that Xiao mentioned earlier. It will be marked on the map with a marker and located right next to the teleporter. There you will find a demon hunter who will reveal his real name and tell the story of Jax.
