In Honkai: Star Rail Critter Pick: Care Is adventure mission and part event of the same name. As part of it, you will have to place raised creatures, divide the location into zones, check the condition of pets and create new rarities. Walkthrough of the quest “Critter Pick: Care”
How to start a task
It starts automatically immediately after completing the previous mission of the chain called "Exotic Pet Hunt: Growing Up". You will need to first bring your research level to 2. You most likely won’t even notice how one task flows into another.
Place the creatures in the cat house
Approach the metal table ahead and interact with it. Next, start placing the creatures you created in different places. The game indicates that pets that are similar to each other get along better with each other, but in reality this has little effect, so you can place any creatures in the designated zones.
At the moment you can only place 3 creatures. Confirm their placement, and then listen to your pets - they will really like the new house, so they will give you a Delicious Bean Gingerbread (consumable item).
Find out the cause of the noise
Turn around and run towards the marked area. You'll find Ruan Mei's creatures causing a lot of trash as you play. Approach the Robonian and ask her for advice. She will recommend that you create resting, feeding and learning areas.
Find a suitable location for your seating area
Go to the area with shelves and pillows. Then press the "R" key (or the round button in the lower right corner) to take out the spray can and apply the pillow graffiti within the orange square.

Turn around and approach the table with chairs on which the stove stands. Take the spray can again (R button) and apply a drawing of a bowl of fruit to the orange square, as shown in the picture below. Then talk to the robo-nanny again.

An additional quest in the chain, during which you need to inspect the updated recreation area. Approach her and place 3 more creatures on her territory. Then you can listen to what they talk about with each other.

Raise your research level to 4
To do this, interact with the furnace of life again. You have received new parent creatures with different traits, so you can now raise more unique rarities. Choose your new target and then match the parents shown in the second picture below.
Start cultivating creatures until you get a mutation - during this mutation, feed the “Seeds” to the creature. Continue creating pets until a special mutation occurs - use "Seeds" again to obtain rarity Lambda's girlfriend.

Choose your third target, and then create a creature with the two basic traits you need, choosing the parents shown in the second picture below. As a result, you should have a pet with an orange filler and shell.
Now select the created creature as the first parent and the white-faced pet as the second parent and begin nurturing the creatures until you get a mutation - during this time, feed the creature “Phlogiston”. Keep creating pets until a special mutation occurs - use Phlogiston again to get a rarity Chief fussologist.
After creating three rarities you will receive research level 4. This will end the mission, and you will have access to the next quest, “Hunting for Exotic Pets: The Adventures of Detective Pippi.”
