After release trailer talking about the past Acheron (Nothingness, electric) from Honkai: Star Rail, the community once again began discussing the similarities between characters from XCP and another HoYoverse project - Honkai Impact 3rd. In discussions, fans have compared most of the heroes we currently know with their counterparts from another universe.
First of all, it’s worth mentioning Acheron, the trailer of which has many references to Raiden May. According to one of the developers, these are nothing more than Easter eggs that will be a pleasant surprise for fans of both games. The same applies to many other characters who have the same appearance and, often, names. They are alternate versions of similar personalities living in different universes. At the moment, only one exception is reliably known - Welte Yange (Non-existence, imaginary). He arrived from the world of Honkai Impact 3rd to try to save the navigator of the Starry Express, Himeko (Erudition, fiery), from an assassination attempt.
Fans have also noted that some of the characters, while not exactly identical, still share some common design traits.
Although it has been mentioned more than once that characters from different universes are not the same individuals, such coincidences allow us to build theories about the future and relationships of characters from Honkai: Star Rail. We also recall that from an interview with the developers for the Japanese magazine FAMINSU, it became known that in HCP, in addition to Welt, we should expect the appearance of several more characters from the Honkai Impact 3rd universe. For now, players can only follow the further development of the plot.
