At first glance, it may seem that measuring the height of playable characters is not difficult, because the developers from miHoYo created only 5 body models for them: 3 for women (short, medium and tall) and 2 for men (medium and tall). However, in reality, everything turned out to be much more complicated. Although many heroes use one model for all, their height is still different. This was found out with the help of ponds and pools. For example, if you stand in the shallow water of Zhongli and Arataki Itto, then the first one will begin to support himself in the water with his hands, since he does not reach the bottom, and the second one will stand firmly on the ground (an example is shown in the screenshots below).
All this directly indicates that most of the heroes have different heights. Between medium and high models, the difference can be 10-20 centimeters, and within the same model, not exceed one or two centimeters. This also applies to female characters. For example, in the pictures below, you can see that in the same pond, the Rosaria just stands, and Ningguang swims, because it does not reach the bottom. At the same time, both use a high female body model.
As a result, players began to test the approximate growth of their charms by creating small pools in their teapots of serenity and trying to figure out who is taller than whom. They compared the information they received with data found in manga, commercials, trailers, and other materials, thereby calculating how high or low a particular Achievement: Hero is.
Of course, this information cannot be considered canon and the ultimate truth, since the developers themselves do not disclose such parameters. Also, don't forget that many Sims wear high heels, hats, and accessories that make them taller. The image does not claim to be highly accurate, but it allows you to roughly determine which of the heroes is the tallest or shortest in the game.

True, it will still not work to remove the heels, so it should be remembered that in reality this or that Achievement: Hero may turn out to be a little lower than the value presented by us.
The impact of growth on game mechanics
In addition to being able to stand up and move through shallow water while maintaining stamina, tall characters have other advantages to help them explore the world.
For example, on the ON Game YouTube channel, they compared heroes of different heights and genders in terms of their swimming speed, climbing speed, normal running and sprinting. As it turned out, tall characters swim, run and climb faster, so it is recommended to use high enchants when farming materials.
Tall characters also make it easier to dodge certain boss attacks, such as those following the player like Thundercage Thunder Manifestations. At the same time, low heroes can go through narrow manholes or get into places that are not at all intended to be visited.
