Setekh Wenut in Genshin Impact: How to Find and Defeat

    Zorthrus

In Genshin Impact Setekh Wenut is a huge sandworm and elite boss, added to the game With You the release of patch 3.4. It drops Vayuda Turquoise and pseudostamens, which are needed to exalt certain characters. In this guide, you will learn where to find this monster, as well as how to prepare the perfect team to fight it and quickly defeat it.

    Where to find Unut Sutekh

The arena with him is located in the Hadramavet Desert, which is part of Sumeru. In theory, you can get to this location after completing the task of the Archons "Song of the Dragon and Freedom", however we advise you to follow the main story and start your quest at least after the mission "Dreams, Emptiness, Deception" , in which you will visit the desert area for the first time in the story.

First of all, you will need to get to the teleportation point located near the Unut Setekh cave. To do this, move to the teleport in the western part of Haj Nisut, and then glide down in a northerly direction until you reach the desired object shown in the screenshots below.

    First way

After activating the teleporter, turn around and run north to the crevasse. Jump down and you will immediately find yourself in the arena with the boss. If you land right in the center, the enemy will immediately attack you without giving you time to prepare. Therefore, we advise you to glide to the edge of the site so that the sandworm does not notice you.

    Second way

We add that you can get to the boss in another way, which will be a little longer, but at the same time you will definitely be able to prepare for the battle with the enemy. So, after teleporting, run into the cave ahead. Get down, dealing with monsters or running past them. When you find yourself on the edge of the ledge, jump down, and then immediately turn around and run in the opposite direction, but along the bottom.

While in the tunnel, turn right and run forward a little. You will find yourself in a spacious cave, in the center of which there will be an arena with Setekh's Hut. As soon as you get close to the turquoise blob of energy, a fight with a sandworm will begin.

    Respawn Setekh Wenut

Note that after destruction, it recovers in about 3-5 minutes - you need to teleport to another area or re-enter the game for the sandworm to reappear. Remember also that in order to collect rewards, you will have to spend 40 units from it primordial resin.

    Characteristics of Setekh Wenut

This enemy belongs to the Anemo element, therefore it has a 60% resistance to it, so it’s definitely not worth taking the appropriate damage dealers into the squad. To the rest of the elements and physical damage, its resistance is 25%, which is also quite a lot. Fortunately, this feature can be bypassed - you can read more about this below.

As for the combat characteristics of the Sandworm, they are almost comparable to the parameters of the Feathered Mold, with the exception of the attack power - in Setekh Wenut it is slightly lower. Therefore, with the right selection of characters and their good pumping, you should not have problems killing him. You can get acquainted with all the attributes of the enemy in the picture below (2P, 3P and 4P show the characteristics when playing in a joint mode).

    Hero Selection Tips

We mentioned above that this boss is highly resistant to the Anemo element, so you should not take the heroes of this element. We advise you to take those elemental damage dealers that interact with Anemo - we are talking about Hydro, Pyro, Cryo and Electro characters.

The fact is that while hovering above the ground, the enemy sometimes creates balls of erosion, which can only be destroyed by elemental attacks that react with Anemo. As a result, the sandworm's resistance to the corresponding element will drop. If two spheres are destroyed in a row, the boss will fall to the ground.

Considering that this enemy can float in the air, we advise you to use characters with ranged attacks, i.e. archers and catalysts. You can also add good healers (Sangonomiya Kokomi, Barbara, Bennett, Dori, Kuki Shinobu) and shieldmen (Zhongli, Layla, Diona) to the squad to increase its survivability. The picture below shows the characters from which you can assemble good units to fight this enemy.

Attacks and movements of Unut Setekh

The gifs below show all possible boss attacks. They also show how to avoid these attacks.

    Tail flap

The boss swings his tail in front of him, sweeping it along the ground and dealing physical damage in an area. It is enough just to run away from the enemy so as not to get hit.

    Boer

The boss jumps out of the ground where the character is standing, dealing physical damage in an area. You need to perform a dash to the side as soon as you see a greenish circle under you.

    Anemo spitting

The enemy fires 3 projectiles at the player that deal Anemo damage. You need to dash right before the charges hit the ground to dodge them.

    Storm flow

A sandworm crawls out in the center of the arena and starts firing countless projectiles in all directions, dealing damage to Anemo. If you stand behind the boss, then the charges will most likely not hit you.

    Storm breath

The enemy pulls the tail out of the ground, and then opens it and releases Anemo energy in front of him.

    Air beam

The boss shoots a green beam in front of him, dealing damage to Anemo. Just dash to the side to get away from the fire.

    Flight and balls of erosion

At a certain point, the boss begins to fly over the arena, releasing 6 erosion balls. If you do not destroy 2 of them in time, then the sandworm will absorb them all, and then release a huge amount of Anemo projectiles almost throughout the arena, which will cause significant damage to your character.

    Digging

The boss regularly peeks out from under the sand, which allows the character to freely attack him even in close combat.

    Arch

The enemy almost completely crawls out of the ground and digs back, flying through the trajectory in the form of an arch. In this case, you can hit him with long-range attacks.

    How to defeat Unut Setekh

    Preparing for battle

Before the battle begins, we advise you to eat dishes, which increase critical damage, attack power, defense, and critical hit chance. You can also drink potions that increase Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo damage to boost your damage dealers. In this case, the benefits will be:

    • Streaming Essential Oil - Increases Hydro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
    • Flaming Essential Oil - Increases Pyro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
    • Shocking Essential Oil - Increases Electro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
    • Frosting Essential Oil - Increases Cryo damage by 25% for 5 minutes.

Considering that most of the boss's attacks deal Anemo damage, it would be useful to take Windbarrier Potion, which increases the resistance to this element for all team members by 25% for 300 seconds.

    Seteha's Unnut fight strategy

If you choose the right team, the fight will be relatively easy. Attack the boss as soon as he peeks out from under the sand with melee or ranged attacks, and wait for the moment when he goes into flight mode and releases 6 erosion balls. Switch to your Electro, Pyro, Hydro, or Cryo archer and then quickly destroy two orbs.

Note: Sometimes Erosion Orbs will spawn right next to the ground, so you don't need to have an archer on your team, as you can also destroy them in melee with elemental abilities. True, in this case, the battle will most likely drag on, since you will not always have time to destroy these spheres.

As a result, Setekh Wenut will fall to the ground in a paralyzed state, and you will be able to hit him with impunity for 5-10 seconds. We advise you to deal damage to him with the same element that the erosion balls were scattered with, since the enemy’s resistance to it will drop by 45%. That is, if you, for example, knocked down the boss with Amber fire shots, then you should finish him off on the ground with a Pyro damage dealer.

    Achievements for Unuta Setekh

During the battle with this enemy, you can get two trophies at once. Next, we will tell you what you need to do to open them.

    I hate him too!

To open it, you must allow the nutu to attack you for the first time. It is worth noting that not only the boss is suitable here, but also any other sandworm that can be found in the Hadramavet desert. You just need to wait for the circle under your feet to appear and not move away until you receive damage. For unlocking achievements, they give 5 source stones.

    The lord of incense…

To unlock it, you need to trigger the Elemental Reaction: Swirl reaction with Erosion Orbs by attacking Unut Setekh while he is levitating. So, start the boss fight and wait for the moment when he goes into flight mode. Then switch to Electro, Cryo, Hydro or Pyro archer and destroy a couple of green orbs. For unlocking achievements, they give 5 source stones.

    Rewards for defeating Unut Seteha

For the destruction of this sandworm, you will receive Companionship EXP, pestilence, adventure points and various materials that are mainly needed for the development of Anemo heroes. The higher the level of the enemy, the better the reward will be:

    • Vayuda Turquoise Sliver (Level 20+)
    • Vayuda Turquoise Fragment (Level 40+)
    • Vayuda Turquoise Chunk (Level 60+)
    • Vayuda Turquoise Gemstone (Level 75+)
    • Pseudostamens (Level 30+) – Required for Ascension al-Haytama.

Among other things, various sets of artifacts fall out from this enemy, namely:

    • Lucky Dog (3 stars)
    • Instructor (3-4 stars)
    • Berserker (3-4 stars)
    • Gladiator’s Finale (4-5 stars)
    • Wanderer’s Troupe (4-5 stars)

We hope that our Genshin Impact Unutu Setekh guide will help you find and kill this boss by learning about the tactics of fighting him in advance and preparing the perfect team for the fight.
