The passage to the dungeon is located in the northernmost desert region of Sumeru. In order for the game to mark its location for you, simply select the "Home of Beginnings" under the "Dungeons of Punishment" section in the Adventurer's Handbook. Entering it, you will need to choose the difficulty of the battle, depending on the pumping of your characters.

Before the battle, be sure to make sure that you have 60 units original resin (or 30 if it's one of the first three weekly boss battles this week), otherwise you won't be able to get the reward later.

Characteristics of Apep Oasis Guardian

Even in its initial form, the Emerald Grass Dragon has a 70% resistance to Dendro damage, so we do not advise you to take damage dealers of the corresponding element to the team. As for the rest of the elements and physical damage, his resistance to them is only 10%, which makes it easier to create an optimal squad.

If we talk about the main attributes, then in the first form, Apep is relatively weak, therefore, it does not pose a serious threat, but this changes dramatically by the third phase, in which the enemy’s health scale approaches 900 thousand units, and his attack power is almost 25 thousand points. Plus, he can perform some extremely powerful area-of-effect attacks.

Given the high resistance of the boss to Dendro elements, it is definitely not worth taking damage dealers of the corresponding element, however, you can easily add Dendro healers or shields that do not cause direct damage to the enemy. As a main damage dealer, we recommend choosing heroes capable of inflicting huge damage not only on single targets, but also on large enemy groups, since in the second phase you will have to fight several enemies at once, and you will need to defeat them as quickly as possible. A good option could be Hu Tao, whose Elemental Burst hits the area, or Ganyu - her charged shots also deal damage to the area.

Anemo characters (Sucrose, Venti, Kaedehara Kazuha) can also help in the second stage, being able to summon whirlwinds to group enemies at one point. The boss plunges 4 limbs into the ground, which then pop out at the location of the character and start whipping on the ground, dealing physical damage.

Triple slap with spheres

The enemy slams the ground with their entire body three times, each time dealing physical damage in an area and creating waves of spiked spheres. The latter are directed towards the character and also inflict physical damage. It is extremely difficult to dodge all the balls.

Tail waving

If the character is behind the boss, then he will swing his tail twice, dealing physical damage in an area.

Second phase

In the second phase, you will need to protect the Heart of the Oasis from proliferating organisms that will attack in waves. By destroying these enemies, you will advance the process of purification of the core. At the beginning of this stage, the corresponding scale will be approximately 27% full. To move on to the next stage, you have to complete it completely. If the progress drops to zero, then the test will be considered failed.

Note that all reproducing organisms have a 50% resistance to Dendro damage, so using this element against them is again not recommended. Next, we will look at each enemy individually so that you know about their attacks and features.

Creates an obstacle in front of the character, restricting his movement, but not inflicting damage on him. If you move too far away from him, he will immediately teleport to you.

Third phase

Impact from underground

The boss plunges into the ground, and then "emerges" at the location of the character and performs a circular rotation of the body, causing damage to Dendro in an area.

Triple air strike

A huge green circle appears on the ground, marking the location of the air attack. The boss performs three such strikes, each of which deals area damage to Dendro.

The boss creates a huge amount of spiral projectiles that rush towards the character, dealing damage to Dendro on impact.

If the character is close to the boss, then he rotates his body twice, dealing area damage to Dendro.

Waves of the apocalypse

The boss returns to the center of the arena, performing a strike from underground, and then bounces up and down several times, creating green circles on the ground, indicating an imminent attack. At the same time, the domes of the Anthem of the Resurrection appear on the site. If you do not hide in them, then the enemy will cause huge damage to Dendro.

Note that this attack does not cause instant death, however, most of your heroes will not survive even one such blow. For example, in Zhongli with shields, the wave of the apocalypse takes about 27 thousand health.

How to defeat the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis

Preparing for battle

Before the battle starts, you can eat meals, which increase attack power, defense, critical damage, and critical hit chance. It will be useful to drink potions that increase certain elemental damage in order to strengthen your damage dealers. In this case, it will be useful:

• Streaming Essential Oil - Increases Hydro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
• Flaming Essential Oil - Increases Pyro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
• Frosting Essential Oil - Increases Cryo damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
• Shocking Essential Oil - Increases Electro damage by 25% for 5 minutes.
• Unmoving Essential Oil - Increases Geo damage by 25% for 5 minutes.

In the first and second phases, you will mainly receive physical damage, however, in the third phase, all enemy attacks will begin to inflict Dendro damage on you, and significant ones. For this reason, we advise you to drink Dendrocide Potion whenever possible, which increases resistance to this element by 25% for 5 minutes (approximately how long the fight with this enemy lasts).

Combat strategy

First phase

Everything is quite simple here, since the enemy is not very active, and his attacks cause relatively low physical damage. Plus, he doesn't have a very large health bar at this point, so you'll have to bring his life bar down to zero fairly quickly.

You can not waste time on defense, concentrating all your strength on the attack. The only threat can be spiked balls, which are sometimes released by the enemy, since it is extremely difficult to dodge them. However, hitting two or three spheres should not lead to the death of your heroes.

Second phase

At this stage, you need to protect the Heart of the Oasis from enemies. At the same time, unlike similar tests with monuments, there is no timer here, and the scale is not filled in automatically - in order to increase it, you will need to destroy the breeding organisms.

In order not to take out these small enemies one by one, we advise you to group them in one place with Whirlwinds, and then hit them with powerful elemental blasts. If you do not have Anemo characters, then you can simply hit them with abilities that have a large radius of destruction.

The priority of destroying organisms is as follows: Maleficent, Protective, Nourishing, Primary, Protective, and Predatory. If you correctly and timely destroy enemies, you will be able to complete this stage quite quickly.

Third phase

The boss will become about twice as strong as in the first phase, and all his attacks will deal damage to Dendro. At the same time, all of his attacks are relatively easy to dodge if you follow the circles on the ground, make dashes in time and do not stand near the dragon for too long.

The main danger for you is the waves of the apocalypse, which can easily kill your active hero. However, three domes appear in the arena at once, and the enemy spends a rather long animation before attacking, so hiding from this blow is relatively easy.

If you do not have time to reach the dome, then try to quickly switch to the hero with the highest health bar (from 35 thousand units and above) in order to survive the blow.

Guardian of Apep’s Oasis Achievements

To open it, you just need to never fall under the action of the waves of the apocalypse as part of the third phase of the battle, hiding under the green dome in time.
