Clara in Honkai: Star Rail: a guide to the best builds

    dzmx_x

In Honkai: Star Rail Clara is a 5 star standard character, who fights with physical damage and follows the path of Destruction. In the team, she does an excellent job with the role of a damage dealer, as well as a sup-DD and a “tank”. In this article, we will take a closer look at Clara's skills and other features of the game for the baby from the Underdark.

    Key features of Clara

    How to get Clara

Clara is a legendary character. You can get it by jumping in the following ways:

    • Rookie banner. This banner is available from the start of the game. Spending 40 jumps on him (including the discount) will guarantee you one legendary standard hero - including Clara.
    • Standard jump. According to the system of guarantors in HSR - we have about it separate guide - once every 90 jumps, you will definitely get one of the 5-star standard characters / light cones. The Legendary can drop earlier - it all depends on your luck.
    • Hero of your choice. After making the first 300 jumps in a standard banner, you can choose one of the legendary standard heroes. If before that you were not able to knock out a tramp girl, this method will allow you to get exactly her. True, it will take quite a lot of game time, and you can only receive such a reward once.
    • Loss 50/50. Standard legendaries can also drop in event banners if you have already received a character from the banner before.

    Clara's stat progression

This table shows the main characteristics of Clara, depending on her level.

    Level HP Attack Power Protection
    1 168 100 66
    20 329 195 128
    40 633 376 247
    60 937 556 366
    80 1241 737 485

There are several other important indicators that remain unchanged at any level: critical damage - 50%, crit chance - 5%, taunt - 125, speed - 90. The last two immediately make us understand that Clara is attacked more often by enemies, while she herself it is designed for a long leisurely battle.

    Strengths and weaknesses of Clara

The tramp girl is potentially one of the strongest characters in the game, which has many advantages:

    • It is effective both against a single target and against a group of opponents.
    • One of the highest damage caps in the game.
    • Great for beginners, as it is undemanding to light cones and will gladly accept starting heroes into the team.
    • Thanks to Counterattacks, Clara can deal massive passive damage without expending energy or skill points.
    • Ideally takes on the role of a tank: with his super ability, he makes enemies attack him, thereby accumulating ult faster. The next use of her super ability attracts enemies again - in general, Clara is good at pulling all the damage onto herself, while simultaneously increasing her own survivability and damage.
    • A useful technique that forces opponents to attack Clara from the very beginning of the battle, and not allies.
    • The Signature Light Cone can be obtained either by jumping or bought in the store. If you didn’t manage to get it, you can painlessly replace it with 4- and even 3-star options.
    • Has a fairly high level of base taunt, which makes her more likely to be attacked and hit back.

On the other hand, Clara also has some weaknesses that should not be forgotten:

    • The girl pairs well with many supports, but will not accept other aggro heroes in the team. Allies such as the Cheetah and Preservation Pathfinder are not suitable for her, as they also attract the attention of enemies. At the same time, Clara does not always have enough of her own defense, so a healer or shielder is needed one way or another.
    • For a comfortable game, you need the first eidolon.
    • When selecting relics, you need to take into account many parameters, creating a balance between attack power, crits and speed - or select supports and healers that increase these stats.

    Clara's abilities

Basic Attack "I want to help" Deals 50-130% damage to one enemy. This restores 20 points of Clara's energy and breaks through 30 points of the enemy's vulnerability.

Skill "Svarog protects you" Deals 60-150% of attack power in an area of effect. Enemies with the Mark of Svarog take double damage. After the attack, all Marks disappear. The skill restores 30 points of energy and penetrates 30 points of vulnerability.

Superpower "A promise, not a command" strengthens the girl. She takes 15-30% less damage. Increases the chance that she will be attacked for 2 turns. If enemies attack one of your squad, Svarog counterattacks with a 96-192% increased damage multiplier. Nearby enemies take half this damage. The boost works up to 2 times. The ult costs 110 energy and restores 5.

Passive Talent "Because we are family" allows Svarog to protect Clara, reducing damage taken by 10%. Enemies attacking Clara receive a Mark, and Svarog performs a bonus attack equal to 80–200% of his attack power.

Using Clara's Technique "A Small Price to Win", you start the battle and increase the chance of Clara being attacked for 2 turns.

    Clara's footprints

In addition to the above skills, Clara has several abilities that increase her damage and protect her. To activate them, you will have to spend a certain amount of resources, but in addition you will get access to additional HP, attack and physical boosts. damage.

Family bonds - When Clara is attacked, there is a 35% chance that she will remove one Debuff from herself. It can be opened from Ascension Level 2 for 5,000 credits, 1 Guardian's Sorrow, and 3 Shattered Blades.

under protection – chance to avoid control effects (for example, Freeze, Kafka's control and Confinement) is increased by 35%. It can be unlocked from Ascension Level 4 for 20,000 credits, 1 Guardian's Sorrow, 1 Imprint of Fate, and 5 Lifeless Blades.

Revenge - Counterattack deals 30% more damage. It can be opened from Ascension Level 6 for 160,000 credits, 1 Guardian's Sorrow, and 8 All-Destroying Blades.

We strongly advise you to upgrade all these traces at the first opportunity - with them, Clara becomes much less vulnerable and does not need a heal or shield as much, which allows you to save skill points and use them to deal damage.

    Eidolons of Clara

You can unlock the heroine's eidolons with her copies - you can also get them by jumping. Unfortunately, getting standard legendaries is even more difficult than event ones - they do not have their own banners, so everything is decided by chance.

However, only the first eidolon can be called the key for Clara - it greatly simplifies the game, since the Counterattack Mark will stay on the enemies for the entire battle.

    1. High Silhouette – Counterattack Mark is not removed from the enemy.
    2. Strong Embrace - Ultimate for 2 turns increases attack power by 30%.
    3. Froststeel Armor - skill level increases by 2 (maximum - 15), basic attack - by 1 (maximum - 10).
    4. Family Warmth - When Clara is attacked, she takes 30% less damage for 1 turn.
    5. A small promise - the levels of the ultimate and talent are increased by 2 (maximum - 15).
    6. Trusted Companion - When another party member is attacked, Svarog has a 50% chance to Counterattack the attacking enemy and mark them. In addition, after using Clara's ultimate, you will deal 1 more enhanced Counterattack.

As we can see, the rest of the eidolons increase the girl's attack power and the ability to survive, but do not really change the gameplay. Of course, a great bonus can be obtained at E6, but obtaining this eidolon will require either a huge amount of time or incredible luck; spending your star jade on it, or worse, real money is not worth it.

    How to play Clara

Clara can be played as a main damage dealer or a support damage dealer and a tank, i.e. a hero who takes most of the damage from enemies. At the same time, the gameplay in one role will hardly differ from the second - the rotation will be approximately the same, only the assemblies will be different.

So, before entering the fight, use the supporting techniques of supports - there are similar ones, for example, in Tingyun, Lochi and Armor. After that, head towards the opponents and use Clara's technique - you will immediately start the battle and increase the likelihood of the girl being attacked.

In combat, the most important thing is to keep track of skill points, as they are needed for both support skills and Clara's attack. It's great if you have Locha, who can heal heroes without spending points; otherwise, be careful not to let Clara go without a shield or healing.

The next rotation is quite simple, but effective: enter the fight with Clara's technique, spend points on support skills, use Clara's basic attack and wait for the enemy to attack. It is advisable to accumulate a superpower by the beginning of the battle or during the first move and immediately apply it. In subsequent turns, spend skill points on Clara's attack, as the opponents will already have a Counterattack Mark, and you will deal more damage. Use your Super ability as soon as it builds up to always use empowered Counterattacks.

    The best builds for Clara

    support tank

This is the most affordable assembly that does not require special investments. The main stat that you need to score for such a build is attack power, on which all Clara's skills depend. It is also desirable to increase the survivability of the girl by gaining more HP or Defense.

Clara as a tank is well suited for light cones that increase HP and heal the girl.

    Name Characteristics Ability

    Something Irreplaceable (5 stars)

    HP: 52–1164

    Attack Power: 26-582

    Protection: 18–396

+24-40% Attack Power. Defeating an enemy or taking damage restores HP equal to 8-12% of attack power. For one turn, the wearer's damage is increased by 24-40%. A signature cone that fits Clara in any of her builds.

    The Inaccessible Side (5 stars)

    HP: 57–1270

    Attack Power: 26-582

    Protection: 15–330

+18-30% Crit Chance and HP. When receiving an attack or losing HP, damage is increased by 24-40%. The effect ends after the hero attacks. Blade's signature cone gives Clara a useful bonus to HP and attack power.

    Nowhere to run (4 stars)

    HP: 43–952

    Attack Power: 24-529

    Protection: 12–264

+24-48% Attack Power. After defeating an opponent, the cone bearer restores HP equal to 12–24% of attack power. Another healing cone. His passive determines the nature of the rotation: you need to finish off opponents with Clara's blows in order to maintain her health.

However, all the cones of Destruction one way or another get on Clara, because they all boost either the attack or the total damage and crits. Therefore, at the initial stage of the game, you can put any available cone - Clara implements any passive well.

From ordinary relics, it is worth collecting the following sets:

    • Snowstorm Guardian: 2 pieces reduce damage taken by 8%; 4 parts restore 8% HP and 5 energy if the wearer's HP is ≤50%.
    • Street Boxing Champion: 2 parts give +10% physical damage; 4 pieces increase attack power when the wearer attacks or takes damage.
    • Wild Wheat Shooter: 2 pieces grant +12% attack power.
    • Long-lived Apprentice: 2 pieces grant +12% Max HP carrier HP.

The first 2 sets can be fully completed, but a 2+2 set with any of the suggested sets will also work well - this way you can strike a balance between increasing damage and maintaining Clara's survivability.

From planar jewelry, we recommend choosing the following options:

    1. Ageless Fleet: Gain +12% Max. carrier HP. When the character's speed is ≥120, it gives +8% to the attack power of allies. A good option, the bonus from which will receive not only Clara, but the whole team, especially the main DPS. The only problem is Clara's low base speed (90), so another 30 units will have to be found in relics.
    2. Living Wonwak: Gives +5% energy regeneration. If the speed is ≥120, at the beginning of the battle, the character's action moves forward by 40%. Here the same problem with speed, but the effect will allow you to quickly gain an ult and attack enemies.

In the main stats of relics, you should look for the following values:

    • Body: attack power / HP
    • Legs: attack power / HP
    • Planar Sphere: HP/Attack Power
    • Connecting Rope: Energy Recovery
    • Substat Priorities: Attack Power > HP > Crit. chance > crit. damage + speed

You can replace HP with defense if you come across good relics with it - both of these parameters contribute to Clara's survival. In general, even within this build, you can focus on Clara's tankiness, giving her the maximum amount of HP / defense, or on the balance of survivability and damage - then you should look for a little more crits and attack power.

    Main damage

In this role, Clara will be especially good with the first eidolon, which allows her to deal increased damage much more often. In this role, the girl requires a lot of attack power and a lot of critical mass.

The following light cones are best placed on Clara the Damager:

    Name Characteristics Ability

    Something Irreplaceable (5 stars)

    HP: 52–1164

    Attack Power: 26-582

    Protection: 18–396

+24-40% Attack Power. Defeating an enemy or taking damage restores HP equal to 8-12% of attack power. For one turn, the wearer's damage is increased by 24-40%. A signature cone that fits Clara in any of her builds.

    The Inaccessible Side (5 stars)

    HP: 57–1270

    Attack Power: 26-582

    Protection: 15–330

+18-30% Crit Chance and HP. After receiving an attack or losing HP, damage is increased by 24-40%. The effect ends after the hero attacks. As a damage dealer, Clara is especially interested in SK and the damage bonus.

Under the blue sky (4 stars)

    HP: 43–952

    Attack Power: 21-476

    Protection: 15-330

+16-32% Attack Power. By defeating the enemy, the wearer increases his crit. 12-24% chance for 3 turns. A good and affordable cone that makes it a little easier to collect crits in relics.

    Secret Oath (4 stars)

    HP: 48–1058

    Attack Power: 21-476

    Protection: 12-264

+20-40% damage. Damage to enemies with HP greater than or equal to the wearer's current HP percentage is increased by 20-40%. A good cone that gives a big boost to damage. If you give the baby this cone, it is better to heal her a little less often so that she has time to deal increased damage. It is also undesirable to have a shieldman in the team so that Clara would somehow lose health and increase her damage.

    Joint death (3 stars)

    HP: 38–846

    Attack Power: 16-370

    Protection: 9-198

+12-24% Crit Chance when HP <80%. The most affordable option due to its rarity. Clara takes a lot of damage, so all you have to do is make sure she doesn't die while keeping her health below 80%. In addition, when gathering a squad, it is worth making a choice in favor of a healer, and not a shield.

If we talk about ordinary relics, they will also be effective here. Snowstorm Guardian And Street boxing champion. You can assemble a complete set long-lived student : 4 pieces of it increase Crit Chance by 8% for 2 turns if its wearer is attacked or an ally consumes its HP.

Planar jewelry is better to choose the following:

    1. Space Sealing Station: +12% attack power. At speed ≥120, attack power is increased by an additional 12%.
    2. Frozen Salsotto: +8% Crit Chance. If HK ≥50%, the damage of the ultimate and bonus attack is increased by 15%. A great set that increases the damage of Counterattacks.

In the main stats of relics, we advise you to look for the following values:

    • Body: Crit. chance/crit. damage (depends on cone equipped)
    • Legs: speed
    • Planar Sphere: Bonus P. Def. damage
    • Connecting Rope: Attack Power
    • Substat Priorities: Crit. chance > crit. damage > attack power

These priorities are rather arbitrary: your particular assembly of relics may differ. The need for SA and SK may well be covered by supports and cones, so it may be in relics that you will have to look for more damage and speed.

    Best units for Clara

We have already found out some features of building packs with Clara. Now let's gather the information together and make some of the best units. The first team consists of Clara and the starting heroes, so anyone can assemble it. Next come less affordable, but slightly more effective packs.

The last unit is especially well suited for passing virtual universe, if you want to go down the path of Joy - 3 out of 4 heroes here use bonus attacks, so most of them will be able to reach their potential perfectly.

Clara's ideal allies are Tingyun with her energy surge from her ult, March 7 with her shield that attracts opponents, Locha, helping Clara to constantly restore health, as well as Armor and Asta, strengthening the attack.

If Clara in your pack is sup-DD, then characters of another way - Hunting or Erudite - and another type of damage to make the team more versatile and able to cope with a wide variety of opponents.

    Leveling Clara

    Skill leveling

Below you can see the materials needed to level up Clara's skills.

    • Various blades can be farmed from Chashelist in the storage area of the Hertha station. 2 Shattered Blades can also be purchased for 12 Undying Ashes in the shop; one lifeless blade will cost you 18 units already.
    • Ancient materials can be dropped from enemies in the Virtual Universe and automatons in the open world. Parts can also be purchased at the store - 4 units of inextinguishable ash for 3 pieces.
    • The grief of the keeper falls in the echo of the war on the hill of everwinter on Yarilo-VI.
    • Imprints of Destiny can be obtained by going through the Virtual Universe, increasing the level of Honor of the Nameless and going through events. You can also buy them in the store - 60 units of inextinguishable ash per piece.

When it comes to leveling priorities, the first thing to do is to evenly level your ult and talent to maximize her damage. Then download the skill. It is better not to spend resources on a basic attack - you will use it extremely rarely and only to restore skill points. You can pump her up a couple of levels in case Clara is your only damage dealer, and any of her actions should deal good damage.

    How to Raise a Hero

Each level of character's ascension requires a certain amount of resources. You can see them in the table below.

Broken Iron Wolf Teeth are mined in the stagnant shade in the Big Mine on Yarilo VI.
